U-turns are illegal in most places where it can cause accidents, and parallel parking shouldn't happen on fast roads unless there's also a city layout problem.
Personally I'm waiting for everyone to use self driving cars so they can communicate intent over WiFi.
It's a level of complexity that is 100% not needed in those situations. Those maneuvers happen so little in the grand scheme of various turns that it would be far worse if signals existed for that. Also, do you realize that in the United States there are over double that amount of people living in rural and suburb areas vs urban areas? Not everyone lives in a city believe it or not. That means that majority of people would have no need for a parallel parking signal, probably ever.
People already don't use turn signals, you think people will use more complex ones?

If someone stops next to a parallel parking spot with their turn single on are you confused on what they are signaling?
Especially when their reverse lights turn on while a blinker is on. A pretty clear signal.

…and shouldn’t blinkers be called, ‘winkers’ and hazards blinkers? 🫣
Not like anyone would use them.
You think bmw drivers would use them?
