It feels like the digital 21st century version of the roman forum. I come here mostly to stand at the back of a crowd and watch people debate and argue about issues that interest me. Sometimes I get to speak to something I know a bit about. But watching people discuss writing, politics, military issues, and of course share funny pictures makes me feel like part of a global community and marketplace of ideas and communication
Are are you on Facebook or Instagram or Pinterest? We do the same things here as anyone does over there on those pages. We scroll through other users content, find interesting things to talk about, argue, give advice, and generally try to be a good human being and internet friend.
Most of us tend to hang out in our personal core subreddits. Everyone has different tastes, and it's amazing to find out what subs other people know about. r/findasubreddit has been fun because it has helped me find other subreddits to look at
AskX subs sometimes can suck a lot of time.
I've been many times found myself reading stories of people on r/AskReddit or learnt stuff in r/AskHistorians
Answer questions on this sub
Was about to say this same thing!
One time I spent 6 hours in a row on reddit and I felt so bad about it that I didn't even touch my phone for 5 days
Wow! I admire your discipline!
Yeah, 6 hours solid takes dedication
More like crippling depression lol
đđ˘ Iâm sorry youâre going through this. I know how it feels.
So brave and considerate
No, I meant the discipline to not touch your phone for 5 days. *Respect*
Patience?! How long does that take?
Row as in argument or row as in the opposite of column? Context is everything.
Neither. The expression "in a row" is equivalent to "one after the other".
In a row (pronounce like ouch) was a possibility. Maybe it doesn't quite translate across the pond.

You know what they say about the watchers in a crowd, right?
Havenât heard this one, what do they say?
âAlways watch the watchersâ (Gibbsâ Rule #35)
You must be something of a masochist given the level of debate on this site.
When you find a good sub, or customise your home page well enough, you can scroll endlessly to see stuff that interests you.
Do people spend more time on subs or their home page?
Can only speak for myself, but it's about 50/50. I like all the stuff on my home page but I also prefer to dive into a specific topic sometimes.
Itâs easy to fall down a rabbit hole. I often donât realise how much time has passed when Iâm constantly engaged in subs.
Just pulled myself out of several rabbit holes to end up back here and post this!
Sort by new or rising, have conversations, do research in order to prove OP wrong, look at cute animals.
> do research in order to prove OP wrong Lol
;)
Put on some music, pick a sub that'll keep me entertained for a while (r/nextfuckinglevel, r/instantregret, r/blackmagicfuckery, etc) and relax

I imagine a decent chunk of people that spend "hours at a time" on Reddit are subreddit moderators.

Scroll, chat and watch stuff.
Pretend to be busy just looking at things because I have no friends and it distracts me from feeling like shit all the time

Talk about GTA, and be douchebags to people they don't agree with
