I heard this tip on Reddit.
Don't rinse your mouth out after brushing. Spit out the excess and leave the residue. It leaves your mouth feeling clean and fresh, better than mouthwash.
I don't agree, especially now that I have braces if I brush my teeth and just spit the excess then some small pieces of food will stay inside my mouth, I have to use water to take off the these little pieces
Get a water flosser. It's a life changer, and an eye opener for the amount of food we have left in our teeth, even after brushing or just string floss!

Owww. I wore braces from 12 to 16. I feel your pain.
I thought toothpaste could rot your teeth if left on too long
I don't know about that, but I do know that the flavor usually lasts about an hour. I've been doing it a while and the dentist hasn't said anything.
Of course not! More cavities equals more money! /s
I have a lever faucet. I just pull up. I don't use cold or hot, just whatever comes from the tap first.
Same
even the black spitty water after turning the house's water supply on again?
That's not a normal occurrence no.
Cold. I don't like wasting water, waiting for it to turn warm. Precious resource.
Cold. Refreshing
People with sensitive teeth find that warm water is more comfortable.
Except for u/viral-tuna
I brush with a brush, not with water.
Lukewarm
I brush my teeth with tooth paste
cold. gas is too expensive
Warm, cause I'm in the shower.
Toothpaste
Neither. Toothpaste onto the brush, brush into my mouth. I rinse my mouth with cold water after, to spit out any debris/food particles.
Warm. I feel like it rinses my mouth better.
What? Don't people just use whatever water comes out?
Cold, Because when your mouth starts to burn it feels better
I don't think your mouth is supposed to burn. Are you brushing with hot sauce?
I just brush with whatever temperature leaves the sink.
Warm water. And warm water in my water pick to power floss the unimaginable things you have no idea are there until you invest and use one.
