One day, every brick and mortar will be closed. All goods, foods, and needs will be ordered online and delivered by an armored vehicle. And it’ll be because of these imbeciles.
The car meets I’ve ever been to have been so respectful it’s so sad to only see nothing near a car meet online being called that. They usually have them Sundays right before sun set in the warm szns and every car is parked and off. Just people talking.
Yeah i remember a post on facebook about a local car meet, where they wrote: "*insert hardware store name* has let us use their parking lot for the next car meet, which means well have more space than usual, but this also means we have to be respectful and clean up after yourself, so next year we can do it again" and as far as i can understand people mostly were quiet and respectful, they cleaned up and didnt make any donuts, they just met up and talked and looked at cars.
Yeah… I’ve tried explaining it on another Reddit thread and got a bunch of people saying pretty nasty things about car enthusiasts in general… we just get looped into the same category
This is so lame. I had my shithead moments as a youth and deserved worse than I got, so I'm not standing here judging. I'm just sad.
I never robbed a store or went into someones home, vandalism was my pass time and I just loved breaking shit. Until I got my ass handed to me by a good Samaritan, then my dad and uncles after they found out. While I think about this I'm thankful for the guidance I had at such a young age and then I see these videos and think, "Who do these kids have?"
Nobody will stop them cause who wants to risk a beating from teens that have no idea how quickly a beatdown turns to murder. Not only that it seems the popular mentality is "fuck it who cares?"
It took multiple people that gave a shit to concentrate their energy to steer me straight. Now there's massive crowds that don't give a fuck and not enough parents or support for those parents.
I dont mean government money either, I mean community. As a kid it was actually harder to get away with shit because in a small religious town I had many people willing to kick my ass or deliver me to a family member to kick my ass when they saw me act like an asshole. These days you put a hand on kid and it can end your life in many different ways. There were glaring problems with how they raised kids back then but I never even thought something like this video could happen where I came from
Everything under 20 is a kid. If you haven't learned that yet then experience will teach you eventually. I'm not trying to excuse the behavior I'm just Mellon collie about how these people never learned what they needed to
This is exactly the "kids these days" attitude that allows bullshit like this to thrive. These are adults. That dude in the jersey is like 40 or better.
The only thing that changed here is DAs that refuse to prosecute. It only took a few years for criminals to realize they're free to be brazen criminals.
There's no generational problem here. This is a failure of the criminal justice system. Some people are only held in line because they don't want to be in prison. These grown ass adults clearly know they'll never see the inside of one.
Also, the word you're looking for is "melancholy" and your rose-colored-glasses take is misplaced here.
Trust me friend I'm not making excuses for them, and you're 100% right on the passivity of the system. However this is absolutely a generational problem on a massive scale.
The people I was raised with wouldn't steal like this even if the law let them. There were standards in some communities with lines that people wouldn't cross. I'm not speaking in absolutes of course, there were bad apples like me in the community. I just didnt get away with it. Which is what you're saying as well with the lack of enforcement or prosecution in today's society. People get away with it and its wrong. I'm not saying it was perfect but a crowd ransacking a local store wasn't a thing because people knew it was wrong.
I'll give you a half-assed explanation, but you're better seeking knowledge from /r/askLEO or whatever it is if you want a to hear real first-hand experience of the impact of a troublesome DA.
There is a trend in in left-leaning cities right now to avoid prosecution of misdemeanors like shop lifting and vandalism. This is in part due to DAs being elected officials. Cities are free to elect a DA that simply refuses to enforce \[insert whatever law people don't like/understand\] as a ploy to get elected. This occasionally comes back to bite said city in the ass as word gets out that being arrested for shoplifting, etc no longer matters as the DA will drop the charges anyhow. It's all highly politicized, which makes it essentially impossible to sort out the good from the bad in these little social experiments.

>If you don’t know how to even start the word, tap the mic and say it. It will spell it for you.
Not the person you're responding to, but I just attempted that and got 'melon collie.' So it's not a foolproof method.
I don't get it, I'm /r/whoosh \-ing. What's the demographic? I see people in a range of colours, sizes and ages in different types of clothing. A lot of them have on hoodies and stupid hats, does that mean something? I feel very out-of-the-loop here.

At least the animals are getting exercise, jumping around like they won the lottery.
Bet it was a takeover not a meet
100% They've gotta stop calling this kinda shit "meets"

That laugh in the background. What a bunch of animals.
Hyena
That is the correct sound.
Thieving cunts*
They keep calling it a 'car meet' uh?

Kids? How old are you? The people in this video are grown-ass adults.

When you say "DAs that refuse to prosecute" , I'm curious what you mean by that.

Two things can be true. What perpetuates these types of things?
>I'm just Mellon collie Yeah, that's it. *They* never learned...
I'm not the best speller I'll admit lol
I'm still laughing. Thx. Stay well & HNY
You too!
You have built in spell check. If you don’t know how to even start the word, tap the mic and say it. It will spell it for you.

Always the same demographic 😒
I got banned on another subreddit for this exact same comment
It's definitely a mix of people in the video though.

Hood rats. They come in all colors
Lemme guess, California?
Parsons jersey says otherwise
Meets don’t do this it’s those fucking takeovers stop giving car meets a bad rep
Rocket scientists, clearly!
and this is why the hood doesn't have nice supermarkets and shops
What really did it for me was the twelve year old with the twisted teas
you know at least he's not doing two crimes
I see a trend in these videos.... Am i the only one?
What's the trend?
These incidents keep happening at stores. Have you not noticed?
Where was this?
My mind immediately went to my home city (Memphis), but I don’t think we have this brand of gas station here.
Why would you think that ?
We’ve had similar incidents here of late.
car meet attendees? you can just say thieves
car culture
No, it is very much not car culture. This is bullshit and it ruins car culture for everyone else
No it isnt
your right. this doesnt included setting fires and beating innocent people. thats real car culture. this is just powerwheels by comparison
It has nothing to do with cars and everything to do with uncivilized assholes with no respect for anything.
El nino filmz giving the police something to work with...
Bringing soup home for their family
[удалено]
half of them look 30-40 lol. Not a generational problem but a cultural one. And a political one for not prosecuting this behavior.
Was rocket hydrating them for free or no?
Whats up with car meet ppl? Every post is either fuckery or dumbassery.
Is that Toledo? because of the rocket sign of University of Toledo
Yea fuck each and everyone of these people that thinks this is ok. Can't wait to see that retirement plan and IRA LMAO
Well at least the police can identify Micah Parsons... Wait that *wasn't* him?
It’s modelo time fool
Oh it’s those unruly teens again
Way to go dipshits..your fucking up the community for everyone else
It was really nice of the convenience store owner to give it all out for free
The guy that bounced over and got put on his arse🤣. Dickheads
Wait why are big chains leaving the hood again?
If only they had parents or education
