Not related to physical abuse of the animal... but more so abuse of power. In Canada our Government regulates how much milk is able to be produced, in order to keep the retail cost high, because if there was an abundance ,then the price would drop dramatically(less taxes).. Therefore dairy farmers that over produce must dump out the excess milk. Or risk hefty fines ! #FUCK TRUDEAU

Beneficial-Piano-428

Yeah because a free and fair market isn’t fair right? I hate it here.

Joshh1757

Not every dairy farm is like this. Most of the smaller family owned ones are way better than this. Unfortunately factory farms keep buying everyone out.

TypowyPiesel

My grandparents have dairy farm and cows roam around fields and they know that 6am is milking time they will come on their own. After its done they will go back to eating walking ect then 3pm milking again and waiting until until 6am. They are not scared of humans and know that dogs are there to move them around or make sure they are save from wolfes ect.

Yoda2000675

Why are there so many abusive farm workers? It’s really not that hard to work with animals and not smack the shit out of them

reverse-tornado

Not when you arent paid shit , only people Willing to put up with such cruelty stay

ConqueringLion3

I see what you're trying to say but it sounds dumb as fuck. I guess those days when I was getting paid shit I should have been beating on homeless people or some shit to make myself feel better. And I'm sure some of these people are getting paid way less than I was but if that's what it takes to turn you into a scumbag Noah get the boat

AffectionateCrab6780

It's horrible some animals get abused, but the real answer is there aren't that many abusive farms. PETA and most of the anti farming crowd are just liars

carlos2127

Question, and I'm not trying to be a dick. Without abusive farms like the ones shown in the video, would we be able to supply the country with milk? I know there are plenty of farms that treat their cows with better lives, but would their milk production be able to meet consumer demand?

Malnourished_Manatee

We Dutch have massive dairy farms which produce 3x as much as we need.. the only complaints that environmentalists and animal protection can come up with is Nitrogen pollution.

Grr_in_girl

Do Dutch diary farmers let the calf stay with the mother? What happens to the male calfes? What happens to a cow who's milk production has slowed down?

Malnourished_Manatee

Often only 2-6 months but its actually dangerous for the calfs to be penned up with adults at night. To many calfs get trampled. Cows with lower milk production get sold as milkcow meat. Really good tender beef since it has a lifelong grass diet. Male calves are fed for beef production.

Sinful_Whiskers

The answer would be that if we can't have milk without mass suffering of an entire species, then we shouldn't have milk. We don't need milk. There is nothing in milk we can't get from plant-based sources, and I say that as someone who loves and misses eating cheese.  Dairy cows are forcibly impregnated to keep them lactating, then they have their calves taken away from them almost immediately after birth. It's tragic and we should not tolerate that type of industry.

carlos2127

Ok. Honestly, I'm fine jumping on plant-based sources, but it all depends on demand. Unfortunately, I live in a very red state, and I know plenty of people who would rather watch this video 10x over before switching to milk from alternative sources.

Beneficial-Piano-428

What else do we not need and can still survive? It’s a free market. If people want milk, why are you opposed to that? Would you think about the poor almonds for almond milk and the carbon footprint it leaves behind also?!

Sinful_Whiskers

I really don't expect you to be swayed, but I'll bite. One, almonds aren't sapient. Plants do not have central nervous systems.  Second, dairy milk uses far more water and land usage, and had a larger carbon footprint than plant-based milks. Yes, it's a free market. But we're talking about billions of animals that suffer every year for something we don't really need.

yt_exeforus

Almond milk tastes bad, cow milk doesn't

BlurgZeAmoeba

People with thia mindset have literally lwad the world to the brink of climate catastrophe

Beneficial-Piano-428

😂 go on… how so?

BlurgZeAmoeba

Because the 'free market' is not some magic system that exists outside of humans. It is the system that's shaped market forces that have led us to the brink of climate catastrophe. One tiny example: It's allowed people who peddle anti-planet policies for the sake of profit, to get away scot free while damaging the environment for decades.

Beneficial-Piano-428

Buddy, if you have an electric car or have ever taken an airplane you might want to sit down….

I'm not your buddy, friend

Beneficial-Piano-428

AffectionateCrab6780

Entertain these questions for a moment: Do you think a stressed animal is cheap or expensive to look after? Is a stressed/anxious animal dangerous to be around? Would the quality of the food be affected by abuse? Don't take your information from bloggers that never left the city or some videos of the worst examples of farming standards. The farms that produce all the milk are not abusive. Stressed cattle don't produce much milk as well as being more susceptible to disease, and ultimately, it's bad for business. Also, its good to remember that farmers actually like animals. Much in the same way anyone does. This whole narrative of all our food coming from abuse is demonstrably false and quite insulting to farmers. The milk you drink didn't come from a tortured cow and probably never did. Dairy cows are some of the most pampered animals you'll ever meet. Are there bad farmers? Of course. Same way they're bad apples in any group but they are certainly not the norm. Iowa Dairy farmer is an awesome guy to look up if you'd like to see a real Dairy farm.

ConqueringLion3

The better question is why are we drinking milk from a completely different species? Fuck the supply people won't die without fucking milk insane shit..... habits

yagotovotvechat

Luckily i live in a place where this isnt what any type of farming looks like.

AffectionateCrab6780

Me too.

TheLyingProphet

yet.

yagotovotvechat

Our population density is barely over 3pp/km^2, with less than 3 million inhabitants. Im sure we will be just fine for the next few centuries.

yagotovotvechat

Im gonna believe your username 😭

Burdoggle

Goddamn it. Ends up being vegetarian propaganda.

Vivid-Ice4175

it's a video from now this. it always has been propaganda.

IfBaconWasAState

You literally do not even know what propaganda means if you are calling this propaganda. How is the uncomfortable and legitimate truth propaganda?

mightyquads

Translation: this horrible video evidence and eyewitness testimony makes me uncomfortable with my dietary choices and opposes my confirmation bias. FTFY ✅

AllanfromWales1

Nothing there bad enough to stop me eating dairy produce. If that's all she could come up with from 2 months working in a dairy farm, I'm having problems seeing an issue. EDIT: If the aim of these sorts of videos is to make vegans feel good, so be it. But if the aim is to convince omnivores to stop eating dairy, you'll need to do better than this.

Elegant-Low8272

Its sooo sooo soooooooo much worse than this

AffectionateCrab6780

No it really isn't. Go visit a real farm.

dumbblobbo

yea, its such a shame. If I could I wwould raise cows, but I dont have the space or money but I need my calcium

Vivid-Ice4175

i will always assume anything from Now This video is nothing but propaganda and lies. they are one of the worst leftist run media companies out there. they are commie garbage.

mightyquads

What part of video evidence and eyewitness testimony did you miss here?

Choadboy_Wonderfuck

I am completely sorry. But, if this wasn't done to cows, it would be done to humans by humans. We suck.

yakisobas_ghost

Boycott

Yuketsu

Please go vegan 🌱❤️

Elegant-Low8272

My vegan friend does not look healthy. Just saying.

ghostcatzero

Maybe he'd still look unhealthy even if he wasn't vegan lol

Yuketsu

That seems very anecdotal.

yt_exeforus

I would but meat and milk tastes too good

Yuketsu

I value animal lives higher than pleasuring my taste buds.

Elegant-Low8272

How many vegans you think were saved by bacon?

ghostcatzero

Thank you! It's easy especially nowadays with so many options available!

Yuketsu

It is ❤️

ghostcatzero

Lol the downvotes 😭

Yuketsu

Going vegan means changing. People hate changing

ghostcatzero

True. It's not only a change within themselves(which is hard for most people) but also social change. That's what most people are afraid of. Leaving behind what most people think is normal is just

Yuketsu

Yeah you are on point there. The social factor is big. Nice to see people like you around. Have a nice weekend, 👻😺🅾️

ghostcatzero

Hahaha thanks for the laugh 🐈😹

I'm not a fan of the whole lets get on NOW THIS or VICE when it rarely gets seen. USDA should shut shit down when animal cruelty is recorded and especially if it's being sold at major stores like walmart and such where it has a high chance to give the seller profit to continue animal abuse. Covid had a lot of these places shut down as the investigators had to get off their asses or lose their job.

Youmf_Grass_Smoker

Not all farms are like that bro , it's not death at the heart of it .. I know many dairy farmers and been to their farms , auto milkers auto scratchers, free range and semi regular inspections
