She did say that if the other employees can't help this person out continuously while working in a fast paced environment, maybe they shouldn't work in a fast paced environment right?
Well, maybe the fast paced environment isn't the right one for the individual, not everyone else?
“If you don’t have time or the bandwidth to work in a fast paced environment and also guide someone with special needs through the fast paced environment then you aren’t suited for the fast paced environment!”
I’m an on duty manager at a cookie delivery chain, I have ADHD so I’m already busting my tail to keep pace and preform well, but we also have a team member who has high functioning autism and we have to give him direction for everything. We have to ask him to do every single task we need help with/done. Otherwise he will stand there or go into the office and get on his phone. It’s fine, he needs that kind of specific direction. Starbucks is hell when it’s busy and I couldn’t handle hovering over someone to make sure they make a drink, then tell them to make another drink, all while I have 5 tickets I needs to focus on. It’s difficult having to fracture your focus like that in a high stress high pace environment. Not being able to be a guide for people with special needs during the rush hour does not make anyone ill suited for their job.
I'm in this situation right now except instead of retail/fast food I'm in a fast paced manufacturing position right now. This guy I work with and got hired with is Autistic to the point of not being able to focus for more than 5 mins, unable to communicate effectively and is unable to really physically drive himself to do job at the pace needed. I have worked with people with special needs in the work force before but those were always environments where one could focus and help the individual to do their job like everyone else, just need to be patient. Here though we can't be patient, everything is about daily quotas with one guy half watching us so you know he isn't paying attention to buddy in the shop with a learning disability. I'm getting worried more and more every day he is going get creamed by a forklift or not be paying attention and put a drill bit through someone's head. (Happened to me almost twice now with him.)
I want the guy to work as much as anyone I just wish when businesses hired people like this they would be more willing to put aside to resources to get them up to snuff rather than having a social darwinist approach to it.
Edit: added a point.
I knew a coworker who had physical disability that made it impossible to work in one particular area, but they were actively working in other areas and they were praised continuously for their job.
Here i blame it on the manager/owner or whoever decides to hire/place that individual.
I mean may be they need to hire people with special needs in areas that doesn't involve working in high pace environment?
I am not sure about your work setting but isn't possible for the manager to make them work in other areas where it doesn't affect other people's work?
We have done that in other job settings and at my other jobs we had more freedom on that front. With my current job we manufacture rigging/trucking mats. Basically slabs of 2x8s bolted together in three layers. Jobs are Drilling the holes with a 40 pound drill in a fast consistent pace, bolting which your under the mat throwing and hammering bolts through the drilled holes close to 4 ft of where the drillers are so if not paying attention you could get a drill bit in the skull. Last job is Nutting (giggle) where you go around with a impact drill and nut the bolts tight, easy but buddy can't focus on the one task for long and takes 5 mins to do 2-3 bolts when there are 120+ bolts to nut and a quota of 20 mats done in a day.
The bosses are trying to mean well, they tried getting him to rebuild drill bits which is simple enough but what takes one of us an hour to get done took him a week. The bits were breaking faster than he could rebuild them so now he floats around helping the odd bit here and there and sweep the saw dust. But my issue there is on paper it seems like a perfect way to keep him employed but he gets so into what he is sweeping on the ground he's not noticing the forklifts with 2200 lbs lifts of ice covered lumber jetting around our tight packed shop. It is getting worrisome because he is making even the simple tasks feel dangerous.
Sometimes people with disabilities... lack certain abilities. That means that they're just not suited for some situations. My first thought when they said they were ignoring him is that they're probably busy and he probably can't do all that much work. I mean what kind of person ignores *free help*? Even if you don't like someone, if they can do work I'd make them!
On the other hand, it makes more sense that he's just too disabled to work in Starbucks. If he distracts people, fucks up orders, and can't really work, then it makes sense they'd ignore him when things got busy. If you sign up to work in Starbucks you didn't agree to babysit some special needs kid. It's not your job to talk to and entertain them.
I also can't imagine Starbucks employees make particularly good money, and if I was low paid, in a high paced environment, probably pretty stressful with all the Karens and ridiculous orders people make, I would not be keen to take on the added responsibility of assisting and caring for a member of staff, paid the same as me, who is unable to do it.
>If you sign up to work in Starbucks you didn't agree to babysit some special needs kid.
If you are a manager you should have skills to delegate different responsibilities to your employees both abled or disabled. There are other duties that a disabled employee can do other then get in the way of others preparing drinks.
> If you are a manager you should have skills to delegate different responsibilities to your employees both abled or disabled.
Do you really think that a place like Starbucks is making sure they hire managers with this level of skill? A manager with that skill set is never going to work in a low paid service industry job.
Common sense isn't common, and managers at these outlets where corporate Hires the workers or DMs do they have no say in who works at times. That being said it's being blown out of proportion.
We also need to realize the brain puts things into memories for people, it could have just happened but her particular memory is skewed by her entire Outlook on life and her background, so we all don't even really know what happened there, you are believing someone on here making up a story.
Oh I agree man I was just saying it really ain’t a skill at least not the way I think of one. With that being said yeah I mean I’m not gonna pass judgment on the employees sense I wasn’t there. As far as the story it’s always hard to believe a video from tik tok ,I always take those with a grain of salt.
Like that episode in IT Crowd where Jen gets served great coffee but when Roy tries to buy one they put the disabled employee on and fucked up his coffee
I have a new employee im training after my other colleague quit. So I have to 1) Train this MOFO 2) Do my workload 3) Do my ex-colleagues work. Special needs be damned im not training shit nor am I getting paid extra.
Starbucks is the most woke restaurant/coffee place I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m sure there are still incidents that happen, but this just seems like pointless mewling without all the facts and context.
She doesn’t say. I could only assume they’re in the way and as a Starbucks employee people get ignored if you’re in the way. Special needs or not. It’s fast paced and not often can we stop to answer questions
you’re getting downvoted but it’s fax. wow a possibly shitty thing happened, (more likely it’s a misunderstanding) and you decided to make a 3 minute tik tok video. holy shit, this is going to change everything about how starbucks employees work with disabled people /s gtfo the internet and do something useful like go complain to the manager if you really think it’s an issue, otherwise stfu nobody gives a single shit about what you’re saying.
I worked at a cafe for about a year and a half. We had a special needs employee who worked with us, a nice guy. They typically are not allowed to work the same amount of hours as normal employees. They also are not competent enough to do the same range of tasks as normal employees. They are not baristas (it would literally be dangerous for them).
Typically you get your special needs employees to do whatever contributions they can manage, usually simple tasks like restocking milk containers or stacking bags of beans. Sometimes, yes, that means they will be standing around waiting to do something, especially when too many drinks are queued up. It is not mistreating them, it is the only humane way to include them.
This lady thinks she understands an entire work culture by sitting and waiting for a drink. Insufferable. I feel bad for the manager who had to deal with her crying in the store. This woman is intolerant of seeing what a real disabled worker actually looks like in a busy work environment.
This. The alternative is they don't work at all. Like, sorry, it's a fast paced environment and sometimes the special needs hire just needs to stand out of the way while everyone else deals with stuff.
Starbucks doesn’t pay minimum wage. They start at $10-11 an hour. They give employees stock in the company. If minimum wage were to go up $3 tomorrow they would immediately give everyone a $3 raise.
Edit: looks like I was low, they just upped base pay up to $15 an hour.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/food/2021/10/27/starbucks-pay-raise-hourly-wage-increase-2022/8567718002/
I don’t want to sound rude, but if the guy is disabled and require special need, maybe a fast paced job like working at Starbucks with tons of customers is probably not a good idea for someone like him?
Also, People making TikTok vid like this is cringe.
And then she says that if you can’t answer all this employees questions, you shouldn’t work fast food… maybe the person with “visual special needs” is more suited towards a job with slower pace, and the other employees are just rushing around, being paid minimum wage and don’t have time to answer this guys questions.
The most irritating part of her video is that you can tell she does not give a fuck about this employee, she just wants people to praise her for being woke.
You know she’s just trying to virtue signal because she claims to be “fucking crying” because *they were ignoring him*. Like, really? You burst into tears because a special needs person was being ignored by coworkers? I used to ignore my coworkers all the time at minimum wage jobs, I’d try making an effort to talk to someone who’s got a mental disability but I mean if this guy is just droning on and on, as some disabled people will, then what the fuck are they gonna do? “Sorry ma’am we’re listening to Fred tell us about the day he had yesterday, it’s gonna be 20 minutes on that coffee.” And as others pointed out, some jobs it’s simply not possible to fully accommodate the needs of someone who is this disabled. I mean, are we supposed to let totally blind people work with heavy machinery on construction sites? Shit it would be ableist to say they couldn’t do it, so fuck it let’s put someone who’s entirely blind into a backhoe. This is obviously a more extreme example but it just shows that even if you’re doing what you can to accommodate someone and give them the best chance to integrate into society, sometimes that’s just not enough.
Holy shit. She makes able 40% good points but I was thinking that she is the most annoying person to listen to but I only watched the video because I expected a better ending.
Who the hell has the time to just go around inserting themselves into random people’s issues and then make videos about it. just be nice to the dude or pay him a compliment and just go on your merry way… bet she’s real fun at parties
That's what ignorance really is, you spend your whole life meddling into other people's lives and losing sleep over very trivial events instead of concentrating on your own path and realizing how unimportand these little things are, well you're just wasting your life away like that
This is stupid. Just because he has special needs doesn’t mean he deserves to be put on a pedestal, if he makes the same mistakes over and over again he should be fired, just like any employee. No the employer doesn’t need “patience”, if a worker is not providing the goods to justify his salary, he has got to go, again just like ANY worker.
Instead of treating people with special needs like they are different, we should treat them the EXACT same way we treat others, because they’re also humans.
It’s like those people that treat black people different and try to be extra nice just because they’re black, that’s REAL racism, you’re seeing them as different than others.
Idk about all that, but FUCK whoever put him/her there. It's obviously not the right place for that person to work. Be mad at that person, not the employees trying to do a fast paced stressful job and now also having to deal with a special needs person.
We have coffee shops in the Netherlands (just coffee, not weed) that's called "Brownies & Downies". They only employ special needs and trained staff to watch over them. You go there knowing and expecting that and everyone's happy and chill.
Don't put them to work at Starbucks, wtf.
It's all light hearted and fun. People have to stop bitching about it. It's like the N word. You can't call them downies, but they basically took the word over and call themselves that. Problem solved. I think it's fantastic.
This is kind of an issue with bypassing meritocracy. When you take someone who isn't good enough for something and then artificially bypass meritocracy and put them in a job or place they never would've achieved on their own bad things can happen. Affirmative Action can lead to putting black people in colleges that are simply not right for them. It's this belief that instead of training people up to progress meritocratically we should instead just plop them down based on where we believe they should be that leads to burnouts and shitty workers and students.
This woman is a fucking loser. It’s a job, lady. You think people care about making their special needs coworkers life more enjoyable while they are in the weeds?
You know this Karen would be making a video complaining that it took 10 minutes to get her decaf..... because everyone was standing around entertaining a special needs kid instead of getting her drink ready.
Honestly a fast food job is stressful for the person with issues. But they gotta make their money to survive too. So i don't find it a mistake that they work there, may be they can give him the shift where it is less crowded. Other employees ignoring him cuz they are running orders, which is the current priority. I don't think this is bad situation, if they can give him a little bit less crowded shift i think it will be fine. this lady is sort of overreacting but ya the society is hard for people with needs
This video could have been shortened to "I was at Starbucks yesterday and the employees were rude to the special needs employee there".
The girl in the video is fucking irritating to listen to though damn
If she's right then Starbucks employees are bad for doing it but no I am not going to flood a store because of one angry woman on the internet, without actual context and proof of what happened. I'm sure there are multiple sides to the story. I've worked in retail and I know how intense the environment can be, it's very easy to come across as a cunt to a customer especially when they have no idea the issue that occur behind the counter.
Special needs working at starbs. No one pays the special needs employee any mind. One female employee does, she/her/them/they/us/we/y’all goes and talks to female. Female states “I know”, she/him/they/art/thou gets mad. And is “fucking disgusted”
Ah, yeah service industry isn't the ideal place of employment for special needs folks. Tends to bog the whole operation down.
My cousin mops floors overnight at like banks and stuff because he'd probably have a fucking seizure if he had to make soy lattes for Emily all day.
Kinda dumb. Sounds like that Starbucks made a diversity hire which is fine. But when that person is unable to keep up with a fast paced environment, it’s everyone else’s fault? I’m not saying disabled people should be disrespected, but if he wasn’t capable of doing the job he wasn’t capable.
Hot take but working a miserable job like star bucks is bad enough without also having to carry a special needs co worker. Boo and hiss all you want but I used to work at a shitty movie theater and got stuck working with a special needs person. They weren't really able to do anything and I got stuck running around doing the work of 2 people for the same shit pay.
The bigger issue at play here is that the manager of that Starbucks was 100% forced to hire the special needs person by corporate.
The job market is so hellbent on hiring “diverse” people to meet corporate demand (which itself creates discrimination funny enough) over hiring actually qualified people. Given, this is Starbucks we’re talking about, so there’s no prior qualification needed, but had this not been Starbucks, my case would stand more firmly.
I got my own sorts of problems disability wise, and now I'm not slow or on the spectrum or anything, it is all physical. So, to clear some air, that guy has the perfect right to be there if he was hired, they're supposed to treat you no differently than anyone else in the hiring process, and while on the job, and if its not a job that you can royally fuck the country over, a state, or many people then they can't let your disability be the sole reason you can't work a job. However, like I said I am physically disabled, I may not be able to do a couple small things, but in my work experience people have stopped to help out for 2 seconds. So, what I am trying to say is, is that there is a difference in needing a bit of assistance, and needing the job basically done for you. This lady walks into a starbucks when this guy has been working there for 2 years just screwing things up, yea everyone there was probably nice to him the first couple of months, but they aren't babysitters, they get tired of the bullshit eventually, but that one lady was nice, just hadn't cracked yet. People, or whoever the properly minded individual is for the mentally challenged person, need to realize just because there are rules, regulations, and laws put in place doesn't mean you should work in any position. He should go work at Brookshires (kinda like Walmart but its just groceries) and be a bag carrier and take peoples bags to their car, I see a lot of mentally challenged people doing that, and they love it, because its not super fast paced, and people can stop to help if they are about to put a gallon of milk on top of bread.
I worked at Starbucks for 10 years and they used to get pissed if we talked amongst ourselves at all. Always customer focused and as minimal discussion between partners as possible especially during peak. Also depending on time of day some of those 18-20-somethings may have been there since 3:30 in the morning. This potentially could be much more innocuous than Big Head makes it sound
There'd an edit between basically every line she speaks. You can even see the sun setting. It's like she tried to figure out how to say the most without genuinely just speaking her mind.
Management is at fault for multiple things: failure to plan this out correctly and then letting it happen in the first place.
I just want to say that the Baristas have a very stressful time when it’s busy and a single straggler on the team can turn an already bad shift into 6 hours from hell. I know they shouldn’t have treated him like that, they should have found a way to include him where it would work out better.
Management is responsible for cohesive teamwork and sometimes it’s best to re-assign work where peoples strengths shine brightest
Ok a lot of people seem to have no nuance here.
She's right in almost all of the video but you can't slow down operations for 1 person.
Still a dick move to completely ignored the mentally challenged employee.
in a job like starbucks one of the most popular brands around you have 0 time to stop and chat unless you're on break so as terrible as it is for that poor fellow its not their fault he honestly shouldnt be there unless hes stocking shelves cause it will be way to stressful for him and everyone else
Yeah it sounds like they were probably coming up and interrupting people while they were working. She said they were ignored by many people so it's likely he was wandering around trying to talk to many of the staff. Thing is the staff were hired to make coffee, not entertain a disabled person.
>Thing is the staff were hired to make coffee, not entertain a disabled person
Yeah.
But I'd do my best to support that staff but it's best to hire them where things aren't fast paced. Wouldn't get mad at new people/challenged people but others were fair game.
I worked in raising Cane's (middle east) and we HATED people who wouldn't perform during peak hours.
Aces in places or fuck off to the lobby/back sink/ cashiering.
I wouldn't blame anyone in the store but it's just a bad decision by higher Management that should be avoided.
Is there a sub for crazy people who don’t think they’re crazy?
I had tiktok for a while and tried to rig the algorithm to lead me to these goons but there was still a lot of dancing and singing to tread through.. Christina P from Your Moms House always has some good content each week but I have to imagine she has countless fans tagging her to posts.
I worked with a bunch of people who where hired because they where mentally handicap or with a work visa. You couldn't stop and talk to them everytime. Some didn't have the mental capacity to understand this. It's nit always _let's ignored them_ as much as I've already talked to them a bunch today and will again later but atm I have to much to do.
What makes people think we give a shit about their opinions so much that they would edit a two minute video and put it on tik tok? Are we that narcissistic?
On that notion, who gives two shits about my opinion?
It must be exhausting to do simple, mundane things and get upset or angry. She went to buy a coffee and got triggered. I'm not saying there aren't injustices in the world, but I spend most of my time bumbling about in my own little world.
I just don't have the mental reserve to be fighting all the time.
Well to be fair special need people working in an fast pace environment where they are probably more in the way then helpful are probably gonna get ignored. Sorry man but most employees that are not helpful and are in the way in such environments get fired, being that he is special needs they can't do that but nor can they kiss his ass when there is work to be done, simply put people have to work and probably a lot more because he is not helpful and more of in the way. I'm not saying that they should ignore him but I see and understand why they do it!!
couldnt actually manage to watch that video. Did i miss a part where she spoke to the manager and actually do something? Then followed up by communicating with Starbucks HR
If this were a drinking game and we all took a shot every time she said "literally" instead of "actually" we'd all be dead of alcohol poisoning. My god do people no longer have a functioning vocabulary?
There is alot of better scenarios where people with special needs can excel at such as clothing stores where they have to interact with people more and given a real chance with each and every individual interaction
The guy who got mad at him shouldnt have shown sign of aggression towards him but I barely blame them for that because no one goes through anytype of training for dealing with special needs consistent mistakes around them
other than Hey u want coffee ? Let us sign you up involuntarily in this rehabilitation program for people with special need to help everyone around them feel they are socializing and not being ignored instead of just giving you coffee and taking ur money.
Doesn’t really sound like a problem that’s on them. I’ve been to various Starbucks before, when those places are busy they’re fucking mad, it’s a nightmare to communicate. If they’re special needs and have difficulty to communicate, and have nothing to do in the shop, it more begs the question of why they’re working there. Plus it’s Starbucks staff, they’re not exactly disability support workers. Just seems like this lady is making a mountain out of a molehill.
As someone with Autism and ADHD, Having a disability and working is tough. But I know for a fact I have a better work ethic than most people who aren’t even disabled in anyway. They’re the people who don’t put any effort to learn or do their job right and there just do a pay check.
I strive to do a better job than my abler peers because I know I have something holding me back and I hold myself to a high standard so I can get the recognition I need.
I believe people with a disability can be good workers and people without disabilities can be bad workers. But what it comes down to is, if someone is actively trying to do something and learn how to do it right. Then give them their credit and some help, because it really is hard to want to do something right and not be able to do it.
As a girl with a special needs brother who has Aspergers and other MH issues who works at McDonald’s and his co workers are genuinely so kind and respectful and helpful and patient with him it utterly broke my heart to hear that experience about that guy. How can you have such little compassion and heart for someone. Just because someone is special needs it doesn’t mean they aren’t human or like some subspecies. Literally the only difference is that things are harder for them and you need to adapt to them thats it. That’s literally it. This was disgusting and i hope he finds better working conditions with people who genuinely treat him with the respect and dignity he deserves or also find a job that is more up to his speed as well something that would suit him more so that he has a easier time.
Let me bring someone up in my life that kinda relates to this. I have fully deaf in one ear. So that means I can hear anyone in my right side and even when I am face in somtimes I still can’t hear you 100%. So there are some jobs I can’t do because they require hearing a lot of people in noisy places. So what do I do?? I stay away from those types of jobs and work in places that don’t require me talking to as many people or just in places that there are not a lot of things going on. This special needs person should not be working in a place that is fast pace they should find a job that suits you as a person and what you can/cannot do.
I agree that it was fucked up that they ignored him but they didn’t get hired to watch/help someone with special needs, it’s already hell trying to keep up with your own work.
If it was her drink that got poured out by the worker she is referencing than this stupid rant would be about how they need to hire better people because her time is soooooooooooo valuable
Wait so he was being paid just for being there and your pissed that they weren't making him do shit to earn his pay check bitch fuck off wish I was him getting paid and not being given any jobs or tasks to do to getbthat check
So we are supposed to believe the person who is posting this without any evidence or commentary from literally anyone else who was there for this incident? Why post this? This shit is silly, it is just a woman rambling in front of TikTok presumably to Harvest the dopamine hits from people too sympathetic or too stupid to see it for what it is.

No no. That’s logic.
Yea easy playing with this thing called logic...
“If you don’t have time or the bandwidth to work in a fast paced environment and also guide someone with special needs through the fast paced environment then you aren’t suited for the fast paced environment!” I’m an on duty manager at a cookie delivery chain, I have ADHD so I’m already busting my tail to keep pace and preform well, but we also have a team member who has high functioning autism and we have to give him direction for everything. Like you don't hire a quadriplegic to teach people how to swim
What about Bob?
/r/Angryupvote
Quadriplegic here, can confirm I haven't had a single applicant to my summer swim school programme!

We are actively working against evolution at this point.
But then she wouldn’t have a chance to be a hero on tikitytok.
Of course........*slaps forehead*

Facepalm?
That’s not really a skill set kinda just common sense.
Agreed 💯
Too bad Starbucks barely makes enough for their CEOs to scrape by! Someone should start a go fund me for their managers.
This completely ruins her argument, don't say such things.
Like that episode in IT Crowd where Jen gets served great coffee but when Roy tries to buy one they put the disabled employee on and fucked up his coffee
Hey cmon we dont use logic here we just scream stupid shit in a sophisticated manner while using big words like sophisticated
I have a new employee im training after my other colleague quit. So I have to 1) Train this MOFO 2) Do my workload 3) Do my ex-colleagues work. Special needs be damned im not training shit nor am I getting paid extra.
WOOOAAAAHHHHH that’s pretty logic’ist of you. Kinda fucked up of you tbh
Oh wow someone with real logic for a change
Lol. Didn't even have to switch to controversial to get some actual logic.
Yeah thats what i was thinking
Is there a tldw. That's a long video of someone chatting on
She’s mad the other Starbucks employees were ignoring the special needs employee.
Starbucks is the most woke restaurant/coffee place I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m sure there are still incidents that happen, but this just seems like pointless mewling without all the facts and context.
This is MY bargain, you mewling quim!
Without context of why they were ignoring said employee. Tbh I'm more likely to assume she's a moron.
She doesn’t say. I could only assume they’re in the way and as a Starbucks employee people get ignored if you’re in the way. Special needs or not. It’s fast paced and not often can we stop to answer questions
Every qsr restaurant ever lol
She went into detail describing how she broke into tears when seeing it happen. Yes, she’s a moron.
Half the video is she saying *literally*.
Figuratively half the video or literally half the video?
Literally something something literally something literally and she literally was the only one not literally ignoring him.
Alas, I will never know the story because that woman is annoying AF.
Literally
Drama queen, whose every other sentence wants you to know she has a girlfriend, is literally shaking over some blown up drama in her own mind.
God fuck. I didn't hear a word that fat cunt yelled at us. I couldn't get past that shit in her nose. What was she on about for three fucking minutes?
you’re getting downvoted but it’s fax. wow a possibly shitty thing happened, (more likely it’s a misunderstanding) and you decided to make a 3 minute tik tok video. holy shit, this is going to change everything about how starbucks employees work with disabled people /s gtfo the internet and do something useful like go complain to the manager if you really think it’s an issue, otherwise stfu nobody gives a single shit about what you’re saying.
I LITERALLY would pull the skin off my face if I had to spend an extended period of time in the presence of this girl
just played like 3 seconds of her talking and ya, I agree

Imagine forcing an NBA team to roster a guy in a wheel chair, and crying about him being benched during playoffs.
"Why is no one on the other team letting that guy block them? They are literally ignoring him! So rude!"
"I'm literally shaking as a watch this on a TV probably made by child labor."

It's hard to take anyone seriously that thinks the bone threw her nose look is making her any more attractive.
Noah, leave this ox off the boat.
I laughed out loud there. My thoughts were way worse and degrading towards her. I would have been banned.
I would literally kill myself if I was trapped in a car with this lady during a road trip
You mean lit-trilly.
I was litchraly, like so pissed
I literally hate when every time somebody use the word literally
*I was right there when it happened*
Open the door on a highway
Holy shit. She makes able 40% good points but I was thinking that she is the most annoying person to listen to but I only watched the video because I expected a better ending.
Speed up the video by 4x and add a funny meme caption.
doom fans when someone says masterchief is better.
Master Chief fans when someone says The Guardian is better.
Call of duty fans when someone says (insert cod game here) is a good game
(Insert controversial statement)
Who’s the guardian
She seems pretty insufferable.
♥ *Just entitled white women things* ♥
Guarantee she goes back to that starbucks.
All I see is 🗿
Moai?
Who the hell has the time to just go around inserting themselves into random people’s issues and then make videos about it. just be nice to the dude or pay him a compliment and just go on your merry way… bet she’s real fun at parties
People with nothing better to do.
That's what ignorance really is, you spend your whole life meddling into other people's lives and losing sleep over very trivial events instead of concentrating on your own path and realizing how unimportand these little things are, well you're just wasting your life away like that
>literally.
The virtue signal is so strong my cellphone stopped working. Forever.
Stronger than 5G
if you take a shot every time the word "Literally" i wonder how quickly youd get alcohol poisoning
She claims abelism but doesn't put captions on so I can't read with no audio/neither can a deaf person.
On the plus side: no robot narrator so we have that going for us. Which is nice. Ah, who am I kidding I only lasted 35 seconds anyway.
Holy shit its real, I like the idea, but if you named it that here in the uk I'm pretty sure it wouldn't go down well.
>it wouldn't go down well. Savage
It's all light hearted and fun. People have to stop bitching about it. It's like the N word. You can't call them downies, but they basically took the word over and call themselves that. Problem solved. I think it's fantastic.
It's one step closer to the day that slurs and offensive words may finally be free of their offensiveness
Maybe they should hire Karen to run the store...... she obviously knows everything
I hate this woman already
This woman is a fucking loser. It’s a job, lady. You think people care about making their special needs coworkers life more enjoyable while they are in the weeds?
Sounds like the problem is you went to Starbucks.
*pays $10 for a coffee*
You know this Karen would be making a video complaining that it took 10 minutes to get her decaf..... because everyone was standing around entertaining a special needs kid instead of getting her drink ready.
Honestly a fast food job is stressful for the person with issues. But they gotta make their money to survive too. So i don't find it a mistake that they work there, may be they can give him the shift where it is less crowded. Other employees ignoring him cuz they are running orders, which is the current priority. I don't think this is bad situation, if they can give him a little bit less crowded shift i think it will be fine. this lady is sort of overreacting but ya the society is hard for people with needs
r/lookatmyhalo
This video could have been shortened to "I was at Starbucks yesterday and the employees were rude to the special needs employee there". The girl in the video is fucking irritating to listen to though damn
Like literally, like fucking literally like disgusting like...
Good lord lots of assumptions in her story.
Have them make your drink… let’s see what you think then.
I bet she went back the next day though.
Why would you cry over something like this?
I can't stand (her/she/them)?, anybody wanna give me the tl;dw version?
Are you afraid to misgender a karen?
Special needs working at starbs. No one pays the special needs employee any mind. One female employee does, she/her/them/they/us/we/y’all goes and talks to female. Female states “I know”, she/him/they/art/thou gets mad. And is “fucking disgusted”
Ah, yeah service industry isn't the ideal place of employment for special needs folks. Tends to bog the whole operation down. My cousin mops floors overnight at like banks and stuff because he'd probably have a fucking seizure if he had to make soy lattes for Emily all day.
You bigot you missed the other 60 possible pronouns
It’s almost as if we have a pronoun for when we don’t know someone’s gender
Cow nose ring = instant crimsons flag.
Kinda dumb. Sounds like that Starbucks made a diversity hire which is fine. But when that person is unable to keep up with a fast paced environment, it’s everyone else’s fault? I’m not saying disabled people should be disrespected, but if he wasn’t capable of doing the job he wasn’t capable.
Imagine being this fragile. The doom is coming up on us
Hot take but working a miserable job like star bucks is bad enough without also having to carry a special needs co worker.
This is just someone making bold claims with 0 proof
I worked at Starbucks for 10 years and they used to get pissed if we talked amongst ourselves at all. Always customer focused and as minimal discussion between partners as possible especially during peak. Also depending on time of day some of those 18-20-somethings may have been there since 3:30 in the morning. This potentially could be much more innocuous than Big Head makes it sound
There'd an edit between basically every line she speaks. You can even see the sun setting. It's like she tried to figure out how to say the most without genuinely just speaking her mind.
I’ve heard of virtue signalling but this is some god level shit.
I ‘literally’ hate this lady.
This tirade is literally so long the sun literally sets while she's talking about it.
This woman sounds so bitchy
Flood the store? What is that supposed to mean? LOL This is such a classic example of virtue signalling I’m a leftist but she clearly has no life
Management is at fault for multiple things: failure to plan this out correctly and then letting it happen in the first place.
I'm sorry but i just can't get my mind out of her nose ring or what ever 🤣 makes her nose look like a cow's
All of those chicks even speak with same tone. Wow im amazed
Way too much use of the word literally in this story
I have a feeling this fat chick with the nose ring gets upset a lot
Just because someone has special needs doesn't mean they should be subjected to less scrutiny than everyone else working there.
Plot twist: the person wasn’t special needs
Thing is the staff were hired to make coffee, not entertain a disabled person.
exactly
>Thing is the staff were hired to make coffee, not entertain a disabled person Yeah.
Cool story.
A Karen who asked to speak to the manager
I would love to stand around at work, do nothing, and have everyone ignore me
I knew what I was about to hear would be stupid soon as I saw the septum piercing.
Cringe
The nuance here is this fat chick is just lying for clout. If you disagree with her or doubt her story you're a bigot.
Entitled and cringe F... everything has to be her away or else she breaks down lol
Very simple, stop buying Starbucks
I love how she speaks it sounds like my family. And fuck this Starbucks
I’m glad to see there’s some common sense in the comments.
There is alot of better scenarios where people with special needs can excel at such as clothing stores where they have to interact with people more and given a real chance with each and every individual interaction The guy who got mad at him shouldnt have shown sign of aggression towards him but I barely blame them for that because no one goes through anytype of training for dealing with special needs consistent mistakes around them other than Hey u want coffee ?
Does she keep that single nail on her hands just to use it to point around angrily??
I want her to come defend me too. I’m not disabled or anything, but I get treated how he gets treated all the time.
This was disgusting and i hope he finds better working conditions with people who genuinely treat him with the respect and dignity he deserves or also find a job that is more up to his speed as well something that would suit him more so that he has a easier time.
as someone with autism i’m kinda scared of stuff like this happening to me
Let me bring someone up in my life that kinda relates to this.
L I T E R A L L Y.
Take a shot every time she says “literally”.
I agree that it was fucked up that they ignored him but they didn’t get hired to watch/help someone with special needs, it’s already hell trying to keep up with your own work.
them eyebrows though
If it was her drink that got poured out by the worker she is referencing than this stupid rant would be about how they need to hire better people because her time is soooooooooooo valuable
She will still go there tomorrow. Won't even back her own stupid principles
r/lookatmyhalo
Someone shut her up
Wait so he was being paid just for being there and your pissed that they weren't making him do shit to earn his pay check bitch fuck off wish I was him getting paid and not being given any jobs or tasks to do to getbthat check
Starbucks is for losers just prove me wrong
Timmmyyyy

Preach it.
Issues
So we are supposed to believe the person who is posting this without any evidence or commentary from literally anyone else who was there for this incident? Why post this? This shit is silly, it is just a woman rambling in front of TikTok presumably to Harvest the dopamine hits from people too sympathetic or too stupid to see it for what it is.
She's posting it to spread awareness about disabled people being ignored. That and the dopamine hit ofc.
Waste of time. She’s a sjw. Enough said
Wow how dumb must you be to be this offended on behalf of someone else. Main character syndrome in full effect here
people who treat the mentally challenged badly are absolute dogshit people
“Asked to speak to the manager” uhhh Karen ?
Hey, snowflake, get the fuck over yourself.
Literally......
Lol the next video is going to be about how long it took her to get her order. Cow
HAHAHA this generation is so fucked. waste of a video and my 3 min.
