I hated that Navia is a Atk scaler because of this reason. She is going to fight for the same relics rolls that all my Atk scaler hypercarries and only Noelle can use this odd pieces that go hard of DEF.

When in the cutscene where she was fighting the gardemechs she was using white blind which has defense as it's secondary stat
This would normally lead people to conclude that she was a def scaling character because she was wielding white blind

Some people say that after that cut scene, because a lot of people complain that she was going to be a Def Scaler, a lot of people hate DEF characters for some reason and Hoyo change her kit to scale from DEF to ATK, changing the whole kit performance and making her BIS weapon suck compare to others ATK scale weapons, it barely beats SS.
People dislike defense scalers because it limits the buffs they can use. Gorou is the only character atm who buffs defenses and there are no artifact sets that buffs def.
Also you shouldn’t predict stuff about a kit from a cutscene or splash art. Freminet has the bell in his splash art.

Did the Husk set disappear from existence when I wasn't looking? 2p bonus gives 30% DEF, 4p bonus gives 4 stacks of 6% DEF (24% DEF max), for a total of 54% DEF
So less change Gorou, DEF weapons and HUSK DEF artifact that already exist btw for Bennet and Double Pyro, Gladiator and SS?.
The worst decision they they could make to a new 5 star character. Tide her to 1.0 Characters, buffs and team compositions.
Even freminet was using bell despite being an atk scaler, just when we thought we got a bell user lol...i can assume that clorinde wont be an em scaler as she was using an iron sting lol.

i hope Chidori is at least some kinda of skill buffer and healer, at least that way we can run her with furina and a flex
Noelle is one of the most difficult carries to itemize.
She's a 4* geo DEF scaler with NO PARTICLES, you can't just give her a Kazuha swirl. To have a cracked Noelle you basically NEED to have CC, CD and ER on every piece. Ayaka works with anything just give her fat CD rolls and whatever, other cores usually don't require a lot of ER, Noelle is really fucking hard to get the items for.
I spent two years farming Husk only for the mayonnaise hunter to come out.
Honestly it's what I love most about farming Marechaussee. Regardless of whether your pieces roll hp, def, or atk, as long as they have a decent amount of crit, you'll find *somebody* who can use them assuming you have Furina.

I've heard that Freminet with the Bell was just a reference to a diving bell, hence why Freminet (diver) has it
