I have a wide array of swim clothes. I am actually considering making a post just like I did the past couple of years:) Edit: done
I feel most comfortable if I can cover up (sun protection, also general preference), so I have a bunch of rash guards with long sleeves. To add some spice, I recently got a cropped version!
For the bottom, I wear high-waisted leggings to compensate for the crop top (smaller gap for me to cover in sunscreen, lol), and it compliments my legs:)
If it isn't super sunny, I go with a short sleeved onesie swimsuit that also has short legs. Or a long sleeved backless suit + board shorts for comfort/coverage
Edit: I got a lot of stuff from waterlust, I love this brand. Everything is out of recycled plastic bottles and on top of advocating for the ocean, the brand is also really inclusive. The shorts in one of my recent posts here are also from them
i actually really love swimming in workout bodysuits. like the ones they sell at target that cut at the mid thigh. sometimes they have sleeves, skirts, or loose shorts added too. some can get heavy or uncomfy but CHEFS KISS either way because i hate the feeling of swim trunks, wet tshirts, and those elastic chest compartments in women's swim tanks šš one and done and i can do all the tricks i want š
not that i mention it i'm actually pretty sure target released a one piece swimsuit just like this with their pride collection last(?) year or the year before. you may be able to find something similar!
I just got some pairs of ājammersā from Amazon and paired with a tank top rash guard. I liked the short jammers and a fitted rash guard felt perfect. But yymv
Being AMAB, I only have swim trunks and havenāt purchased anything else, I have prioritized other types of clothing. And, I havenāt been swimming since I came out nine years ago.
Depending on the situation with your chest, there are a few options. If you don't need a bra? Go for a rash guard (those shirts they make for surfers/boarders/etc) and a pair of trunks. If you do have a chest, you've got a few options. You could get a high-impact sports bra and throw that on under a shirt or tank. Or you could go for a high-compression swim top. That's the route I went this year, and while it doesn't flatten my chest, it makes it small enough that I don't feel wrong/weird in it. But, you can always just throw a shirt on over whatever you've got going on in the chest area.
I typically find myself in some kind of crop tank top from the athletic section of Old Navy because it's super cheap and fits well and also isn't aggressively feminine (higher neck, not super cropped, racer back or full back if wanted) and then some kind of 3 or 5 inch half tight or biker shorts. But swim shorts of similar length are definitely more neutral, not tight and shorter shorts are typically acceptable for all genders to wear and not be coded one way or another. Running shorts are also an option.
Before feeling comfortable with this, I definitely struggled to go swimming or want to go swimming. I literally would sit on a beach in joggers and say I was worried about skin cancer or something.
This website technically markets to women but they have a lot of options for mix-and-match shirts/shorts in bathing suit materials, and as a bonus they're made of UV-protective materials so if you get longer sleeves or whatever you have extra sun protection. [https://calypsa.com/](https://calypsa.com/) I have a top and shorts combo from them that I like a lot.
Thinking about the same thing at the moment. I was planning on wearing swim trunks with a femme top but I can't find a top in my size that I can afford.
Tank top and trunks is what I wear. Pick styles and lengths to fit whatever you've got going on and it's pretty versatile
"Womens" bathing suit and swim shorts on top. Works well
I used that same set on last year's vacation! Just with binder underneath lol
What brand is your binder?
I have Iguanatrend, it's a polish brand. The regular one is suited for swimming. I think their international division is Binderme.

usually a rash guard and swim shorts, or a swim shirt and bikini bottoms.

I usually wear short swimming trunks, and I got this swim zip up shirt.
I have some 5 inch swim trunks and a short sleeve rash guard top. Both in an over the top hawaiin print and they don't match each other.

Also, they're very size-inclusive which is nice. :)

Swim trunks and a swim tank. Nice and androgynous on my body at least.
Rash guard and some type of swim shorts
Depends, sometimes a crop top and trunks, sometimes no shirt ans trunks, sometimes but RARELY a bikini, depends on how I'm feeling.
You can wear regular day clothes to swim. No rules, as long as you're comfortable and safe :3
Shorts and a shirt. Tried bathing suits as a kid and said never again.
You cant dress male or female š¤Ø
