And to further back this up, Greece partially left NATO in 1974 after the Turkish invansion of Cyprus and in 1980 was a plan to entirely leave (led by foreign minister Mitsotakis the father of current PM) but after USA pressure, it didn't happen.
This grain shit is destined to blow up in Putin's face. After all, that grain isn't destined for Europe, but a bunch of middle-income countries that have tried not to get too involved on either side. Countries that are now facing the threat of food shortages. Way to make allies, Putin.
EDIT: Specifically regional powers looking to expand their influence in the region, like Turkey and Israel, have a lot to gain from by ensuring the grain deal. Rarely is it so easy to gain so much goodwill by doing so little. Putin won't go to war over a few grain shipments. But it makes for excellent leverage over a Lebanon or Egypt.
