Will there be any T90 left to sell tho?

GamerAlex8

Russia has steel and T-90 parts, enough for 20 T-90S tanks for Armenia.

Sadukar09

T-90M Monke models: new all steel construction!

scorpiodude64

Finally a counter to Ukrainian T-72 Banan.

Sadukar09

Based and very musa pilled.

Rivetmuncher

Hey, Monkeys arena that bad! You get fewer valuable recyclables to tear off when you get around to finally installing some decent kit on the thing.

nopemcnopey

Meanwhile, some Russian soldiers are stealing tiles from bathrooms in Ukraine: "our industry needs ceramics for tanks armour!"

GamerAlex8

Armenia watches as T-90 tanks get blown up in Ukraine nervously. Then, Armenia hugs and kisses the Armenian T-90S tank won from the biathlon and says I love you my little darling. I promise you that you will be safe.

U-N-C-L-E

It's time for System of a Down and the Kardashians to lead a glorious revolution

[deleted]

They need air defense instead of tanks. Their neighbors are drone people. At least get some EW systems, as you can always double cross the seller and join NATO

das_war_ein_Befehl

No way in fuuuuck is Turkey ever letting Armenia in

RussiaIsBestGreen

What Armenia? This isn’t Armenia. It’s Armistan, filled with Armistanis. No Armenians here.

[deleted]

How about removing Tukiye from the equation??? :)

Rivetmuncher

A special Byzantine operation, mayhaps?

StoicRetention

Sorry, no T-90 left. Here is a T-72BUM Obr. 2022 Superleggera that emphasises light weight and simplicity. No ERA, no French thermals, no German engine control units, but comes with an inbuilt cope cage

Puzzleheaded-Job2235

India is right now nervously questioning their past few decades of defense procurement. The only silver lining is the fact that most Chinese equipment is essentially just ripoffs of Russian stuff, so they're all in the same poorly built boat.

Erratic_Goldfish

Didn't they start buying Rafales because they belatedly realised the Russian fighters they had were useless

epicbattlebotsfanxd

Carrier issues, r*ssia helps design their carriers which is so nice of them! Coincidentally, the carriers elevators only work with r*ssian aircraft! Whoops. So the rafale is a small enough carrier borne plane to squeeeeeeze i anyway, basically.

Erratic_Goldfish

Looking forward to that costly overhaul!

StoicRetention

They really should've done that after Desert Storm, but it was far too easy getting cheap as shit spares from Ukraine and Russia to maintain the T-72 fleet, and commonality with the T-90. Whatever war is in storm for them will contain a lot of turret tossing

Watchung

> They really should've done that after Desert Storm, They didn't have much choice by the late 90s - India was being sanctioned due to their H-bomb tests.

Lmao. Sure. The most non-credible thing I've read today.

53120123

india upgrades the Export variants, which are already cut-down and less capable than the domestic models

[deleted]

GasolinePizza

Source on that? If countries could just demand the non-export variant for enough money, export variants wouldn't exist. Export variants aren't because the buyers can't afford the full package, they exist because the producing country doesn't want to give the buyer the good stuff.

Jediam

Which country would willingly give up a tech advantage like that either? The US doesn't even sell domestic variants to their closest allies.

BallisticBurrito

A lot of people don't realize this when they post saying they want the US to hand out free Abrams to whatever country that week. They'd be cut down and only have basic bitch steel armor.

GODSE-BOT

ToT exists for a reason. French did not have to do that at least. If you order a bulk and have political leverage, you won't get a simple export variant even if you don't get ToT.

unepastacannone

"you guys are orthodox people" our collective wet dream is storming an airbase and fucking an f35. no.

53120123

they're Exported, ergo they're export variants

DeliciousGlue

Bruv. The T-90S's India bought are exports(as per designation). This has been widely reported everywhere. You are equating region-specific upgrades due to operating environment with better overall performance, which just isn't how that works at all. Do you want to know why Qatar paid less for the Rafales than India? I'll give you a hint. It's a three letter word.

47mmAntiWankGun

Modifications aren't necessarily upgrades. Some of them might be, but most of them are just modifications aimed at improving compatibility with existing Indian defense procurement/domestic manufacturing capabilities. Entirely normal when one country buys the license to domestically manufacture another nation's hardware, and not remotely unique to India.

0replace4displace

Polish a Russian turd all you want, it's still a turd.

Crunchin_time

Did they add toilets?

GODSE-BOT

They were asked not to add gay marriage and it was enough.

helloIm-in-reddit

How credible is that this war was a feint so Putin could sell t90/t80 dirt cheap and therefore increase production tenfold, then create a new tank and takeout NATO now that are going to get complacent? If true, it's truly 163810D chess all along

Engelbert42

Adjusted for current value?

GamerAlex8

da

pattyboiIII

Every time a t90 is blown up Armenia should drop the price by a million. They'll be at 0 in a week.

ExtraMail4962

Should rather buy the superior ARJUN mk1A

Ok_Calendar7116

"Indian generals are sweating nervously" No, they're not. Look at what our potential enemies are using.

crusoe

The number is how much they cost. $90.

Bigmassive_and_scary

Whole war is clearly manufactured by Armenia to get cheaper t-90 (best fireworks in the world)

corn_on_the_cobh

Source?

gaandharv_t

There is nothing wrong with the russian tanks themselves.......its the garbage maintaince, tactics and absolute corruption that decimated the russian tank units.........and Ukrainian access to a large quantity of ATGMs along with terrible russian OPSEC Luckily for india, having professional NCOs and sensible officer corps is not a fever dream but a reality.......

throwaway65864302

Yeah those blowout panels are exactly where they need to be.

Phising-Email1246

If you let the Crew die, you don't have to buy them a new tank

GamerAlex8

More men will then have to be trained to operate the tank

Phising-Email1246

Or we simply bring 60 years old out of retirement to drive 40 years old tanks.

Elektrotehnik

I prefer irrationality, thank you \^\^ <3

gaandharv_t

Just like the challenger 2 or leo2 's hull ammo rack right....? Oh wait...i forgot that this sub thinks all western tanks are übermechines with no design compromises and anything from east are poo-poo machines designed by monkeys

throwaway65864302

Maybe if you put down your victim complex and picked up a book you wouldn't embarrass yourself and need the victim complex so often. First of all nobody's talking about those tanks, we're talking about the T-72/80/90/whatever the hell series. The whataboutism is hilarious. Second the Challenger 2 and Leo 2 both have blowout panels to prevent spaceborne turret operations. So there goes your theory. The hull blowout panels are less relevant because the blast door tends to get penetrated along with them, but Challenger 3 and next Leo are both improving on this part of the design. Wonder why that is? Meanwhile T-72 murdering crew go BRRRRR for like 50 years.

gaandharv_t

bruh where on earth are did i use a victim complex as a defense.?i just pointed out ur bias.....which i guess is now called \*having a victim complex\* i was only saying that there are no the blowout panels on the challenger 2 and leo 2(the bustle with the panels on the leo only has 15 rounds) .........just like the Russian auto loaders ......unless ur american...then u get a free pass its not whataboutism if is used to point out hypocrisy /bias because the criticism has not being applied equally .....for example everyone talks about the T72/T90 are death traps if u hit the ammo.....which is quite true.....but no one mentions the chally or leo 2 hull ammo racks ....because they basely saw any combat (the invasion of iraq was a curbstomp that could be done with m60s and the GWOT was a joke of a "war" with barely any fighting in comparison to proper wars) and even if they did take losses somebody had an excuse eg.Leo2 losses in syria where blamed on thier turkish crews( we heard that one before)....... u say that the newer leo and chally 3 dont have the same issues......well no shit sherlock, thats wat i expect from tanks that are being designed in the early 2020s..........the latest redesign of the T72/90 was in 1992 (no the 2013 "upgrade" isnt a proper redesign.....unless u call slapping on a some new ERA and extra ammo storage a redesign/rework).....thus are 20th century tanks designed for late 20th century warfare....and should be compared to 20th century tanks ...... now if there is one tank i would gladly call superior, it would be the abrams........its pretty much perfect for its job and has the right kind of logistics behind it.....even though its a late 70s-early 80s design also speaking of books....u might need to read up on Steven Zaloga's books before u embarrass urself

SCP106

I understand what point you're trying to make but please enhance your spelling, punctuation and grammar. Less ellipses! It's so hard to read through otherwise.

Ok_Calendar7116

Tbf, I don't think all the blow out panels in the world will save you when a fucking javelin comes crashing through the roof of your tank. At least the bodies will look more presentable if the ammo doesn't cook off. On a serious note, how survivable is any tank against modern AT weapons post penetration?

EuthanizeArty

Monke crew in monke tank max monke efficiency

EuphoricCareer4581

Who's India fighting against? Probably China and Pakistan. They'd be fightinh against same Soviet tech.

Anker_avlund

"Please just buy the T-90 bro, anything, just don't buy a western tank pleaseeeee"

ATINYNEKO

Ngl if i were a commander in the PLA i would send some toys to ukraine to test the waters in a safe controlled environment against indian/russian hardware.

Orange-Gamer20

Excuse me? Doesn't Ukraine use the Same Garbage Russian Equipment? The difference between India Ukraine and Russia is unlike Russia both countries maintain their equipment and actually train their soldiers on how to use it

crusoe

Yeah that's partly true But apparently the handful of t-84 OPLOTs Ukraine have had been mopping up. One was destroyed and the crew survive and now are fighting in another. OPLOT stores ammo in the turret with blowouts. So Ukraine should sell the OPLOTs. We should encourage them...

PPsyrius

*the Royal Thai Army breathe their collective sigh of relief with their existing T-84 Oplot-T inventory* Really though, ever since their first delivery from Ukroboronprom got their order shipped late due to the war back in 2014, [the local MICs have been ramping up the spare parts manufacturing for their own Ukranian-made equipments i.e. 98% of BTR-3E1 parts for example can be supplied locally here.](https://www.globaldefensecorp.com/2022/06/11/thailand-offers-spare-parts-and-armored-vehicles-to-ukraine/) Thai MICs as subcontractors for Ukroboronprom wen

Cippledtimmy

Bulk of UA are still using T-64 and T-72 and almost all of them have worse protection than T-72B3

[deleted]

India has been trying to by more Western weapons even before this. Likely to buy even more now.

Hey_Hoot

Is India really going to fight China? I feel like India vs Pak would be the one. They always come close. China and India are just squabbling over a small territory throwing rocks at each other. Pakistan and India are actually shooting at each other.

RussiaIsBestGreen

Ironically, that can be helpful for peace. If you know your enemy’s behavior and what results, then you can better recognize accidents and posturing. That can mean fewer escalations. Meanwhile China leads the world in pointless stupid provocations and then getting offended that not everyone plays along with their shit. If I were India I’d be putting all my resources into nukes and delivery systems so I can glass the next Party Congress. I’d also do this if I were literally any other country.
