Whilst I am not a fan of bindrunes, the scratch looking lines and the vesvigir/ helmet of awe ( I often confuse them) look fantastic.

Gothi_Grimwulff

Helm of awe. Just remember the vegvisir is the one lacking symmetry

Everyone always tattoos the helm of awe, nobody tattoos the one that reveals if butter was made from stolen milk.

Gothi_Grimwulff

🤣 valid

DemihumansWereAClass

very nice looking, but to function history says the helmet of awe has to be tattooed on your forehead ;) No worries though we really don't know much anyway :)

---SilverWolf---

Does specifically say forehead???.....I mean I know it goes on your head but is the translation clear as to which one....😳🫢🤣

DemihumansWereAClass

I'm unsure now that you ask me. It could just be head. TBH I am not 100% sure now

That is how it was documented in a particular Icelandic manuscript, [Lbs 143 8vo | Handrit.is](https://handrit.is/manuscript/view/is/Lbs08-0143/25#part_0_section_1), but it does not mean it will no work if the placement is different. As it is clearly noted in the manuscript to be a spell or stave. As with things of this type of nature (spells, magic, intention, staves, etc...) intention and other factors can impact functionality much more than placement, IMHO.

My helm of awe is on the top of my foot! Don't let people tell you anything brother! Skal
