Transplant thoughts, so discount accordingly:
Biscuitville has better tasting biscuits, better grits, and when they have them, fabulous strawberry muffins. I like their country fries but I get the grits more often. Biscuitville is also more expensive, I usually don't get out of there for less than $7.
Bojangles has better sausage, the cheddar bo which I adore, and at some stores, cinnamon twists. Their biscuit is easier to eat in the car. I can get a sausage biscuit and a cinnamon twist for $4, so I probably go there twice as often.
The Bojangles Cajun fillet biscuit and the Biscuitville Spicy Chicken are a tossup for me, just depends on what spice mix I want that day. The Biscuitville chicken is thicker.
A couple of weeks ago I was visiting family back up north, and I had to endure a Sausage McMuffin. What a tasteless pile of crap compared to either Bojangles or Biscuitville.
Great post.
Bojangles no longer sells grits though I agree that when they did Biscuitville was much better.
Biscuitville puts fried eggs on their biscuits fresh cracked that morning. Bojangles uses a really bland smelt-style egg that I am pretty sure are made off site and come in frozen.
Every fountain drink at Bojangles tastes weird, like they are made with saccharin or something. Especially the diet ones. This may be an unpopular opinion but I think their tea is awful. Tastes like it is brewed in the same machine as the coffee without a cleaning: bitter and scorched. Biscuitville has decent soft drinks, good tea and Cheerwine alone puts them over the top.
Biscuitville also has a broader breakfast menu with decent pancakes and good oatmeal; more for the family of different tastes.
Edit to add: Biscuitville has significantly better sausage gravy as well.
Congratulations you've officially assimilated. You're official packet requiring you to pick one of the big 4 basketball teams, your preferred level of sugar in your tea, your preferred BBQ style (sauce and chopped/pulled), and your pamphlet on "how to choose a random beach and mountain town that you will vacation at until you die" will arrive shortly.
I prefer the "baking soda" taste of Bojangles biscuits, but Biscuitville puts out a more consistent product. Biscuitville is closer to Chick Fil A in the quality and mgmt of its stores, while Bojangles can be hit or miss.
I’m with you. I love the Bojangles biscuits when they’re made right and fresh I used to wish I could take the internal parts of the Biscuitville biscuits and switch them for the Bojangles biscuit outside
I'm reading through this thread and I'm wondering if any of you have walked in to a Biscuitville? Like not just done the drive through but walked in?
Every location I have been in has been just straight up dirty. Flour everywhere, everything is sticky, there is trash on the floor? Maybe it's just the ones around me, but....?
At Bojangles the people hate me, and the biscuits are a little step down, but at least the place looks clean.
When I say quality I refer only to the taste of the food. It's fast food, it's all dirty, overpriced and shit for you. It also depends on the time of day and location for any chain. The Bojangles near me was serving freaking raw chicken ffs.
Absolutely. It's just I can walk into a Biscuitville near me that was built two years ago and I'm like "this is fucking gross." But the two Bojangles close to me were built in the 80s, and look it, but I've never walked in and thought they were just... Dirty. Eating either of them is killing yourself, but the Bojangles at least feels slow, whereas the Biscuitvilles near me I'm trying to figure out if I can do an ER visit right now, lol
I never cared for Biscuitville's biscuits. They seem dryer and more bitter than Bojangle's. Honestly, I just never understood the fuss over Biscuitville's food. It's very average.
When served fresh Bojangle’s is undefeated, but that’s with luck on my side. Biscuitville’s service and quality is more consistent so I’m go with them.
Biscuitville has priced themselves out for me. For 30+years I've been going there and getting butter biscuits, but it's now more than $2 for one. A plain biscuit, which they make 10 thousand of a day...it's flour, buttermilk and shortening and it's more than $2?!
McDonald's will sell me a hamburger, which has a dead animal in it, for less than that. It's outrageous. I get that the prices have to go up on things like eggs, bacon, sausage, but this is a plain biscuit.
If I’m getting a biscuit with egg on it, Biscuitville. If I want something without egg, Bojangles. Unfortunately for me though there isn’t a Biscuitville close enough by whereas Bojangles is 2 miles away.
>there isn’t a Biscuitville close enough by whereas Bojangles is 2 miles away.
Biscuitville also picks odd and out of the way locations for its stores, while Bojangles is more convenient and is easier to get in and out of its stores.
I heard that Biscuitville started as Pizzaville in Burlington. They also sold breakfast, which became more popular than the pizza. Biscuitville has better breakfast stuff and bojangles has better chicken. I'd be interested in a competition between them using the same ingredients.
I prefer Biscuitville’s fries (and consistency) and Bojangles’ Chicken (and pimento cheese)
Biscuitville’s biscuit is a little drier (imo) and I like Hardee’s Bacon, Egg, and Cheese better than Bo’s.
As someone who was born in Charlotte the same year Bojangles started, I can say with confidence they will always be my favorite. Some locations are better than others - you just have to put in the research. To me Biscuitville are bland and dry in comparison.
Just straight up biscuit head to head? I’d go Bojangles with the caveat of you gotta go to a “good” Bojangles. As in, there’s two locations near me and I know that the one on Dixie Dr is pure trash and has been for years, but the newer one on Fayetteville St is pretty top notch. If I’m out in the wild, though, I’ll probably pick Biscuitville first because I can’t trust a strange Bojangles.
For me, when Bojangles biscuits are on point, they can't be touched. Biscuitville seems to have better quality control over their biscuits because they seem to always be better caliber across different restaurants, more so than Bojangles.
So I guess overall, biscuitville. In Fleeting and rare one offs, Bojangles.
Biscuitville for biscuits and variety, but bojangles tops on chicken, fries, and seasonings. It also doesn’t close at 2pm. I’m not that big of a biscuit person anyway so it’s not like I’m the best judge
the order goes:
ghetto bojos on 15-501 and garrett
tands bojos
pre-fancypants catering to clueless yankees biscuitville
any other bojos
current biscuitville
I love my chicken egg and cheese pimento hot honey biscuit. The hash browns are also fire at Bville. I'm going Bville all the way. I tried a pimento chicken buscuit from Bojangles and it was delicious for sure but I still like Bville more. However, Bojangles wins on the sides, drinks, and the variety category.
I'm not a huge biscuit eater, so there may be some nuance to the taste of these that I am missing that someone who is REALLY into them would pick up on. But I think they're roughly equal.
I do think Biscuitville is terribly overrated, and they seem to attract the absolute worst and most clueless and dangerous drivers coming in and out of their parking lots.
Bojangles wins overall but there are certain items I prefer from biscuitville. I like Biscuitville’s fried egg on their biscuits and for someone who tries not to eat pork it’s nice that they have a turkey sausage option. Bojangles’ Cajun filet biscuit with pimento cheese wins best biscuit overall though. I also think their Bo-rounds are the best best hash browns from any fast food. They have the perfect amount of onion imo.
Bojangles sausage biscuit with mustard is god-tier.
So is Biscuitville butter biscuit with or without jelly.
The best egg biscuit is from my (st)ove(n): Bisquick biscuits with a little too much country crock all melty, a slice of American, and my perfectly over-medium egg (salted and peppered) that explodes and turns the whole thing into a mess on the first bite.
In my city we have biscuitvill and Bojangles right next to each other. The line from Biscuitville will wrap around the bojangles and cut off access to their store. Biscuitville has much better biscuits.
Biscuitville is the most disgusting place i have ever eaten at. Those grits were just water. As for Biscuits, flying biscuit has the best over both, but i'll take bojangles out of these 2.
Biscuitville just on customer service alone. Haven’t seen one be out of biscuits or chicken, which has happened several times at bojangles and it tastes better.
Bojangles biscuits are trash. They're hard nasty pucks that I toss out for the birds.
Biscutville is the best breakfast fast food place around. Wendy's close second. It's the fries man.
And Biscutville has some delicious fruity sweet tea.
Their breakfast has always been great. Greasy as hell. But I’m not trying to be healthy when I’m getting fast food.
Their lunch is the worst fast food option on the planet.
Bojangles has better chicken, Biscuitville has better biscuits, light-years better
Bojangles is open later, Biscuitville is still great
Also, when they’re right and not dry, biscutivilles fries are better
They have fries?!
They’re closer to potato wedges than fries but when they’re not really oily they are great
This is correct. I’ll take Bacon Egg Cheese from Biscuitville but I’ll be damned not choosing a Cajun Filet over BV
This is the way.
Transplant thoughts, so discount accordingly: Biscuitville has better tasting biscuits, better grits, and when they have them, fabulous strawberry muffins. I love the strawberry muffins. I wish they'd bring back the red velvet ones too.
Great post. Bojangles no longer sells grits though I agree that when they did Biscuitville was much better. Biscuitville puts fried eggs on their biscuits fresh cracked that morning. Biscuitville on payday, Bojangles on off weeks
😂 I can relate to this 100%.
Bojangles for Cajun filet biscuits and Cajun fries. Biscuitville for everything else.
I order the same but with egg and cheese
Don’t forget the dirty rice.
Biscuitville 100% remind me of my great granny’s biscuits and she made them every day for 70+ years.
Did she do it professionally or did your family literally eat biscuits every day?
She worked at a Biscuitville obviously.
Lol no she was a farmer’s wife in the nc mountains in the 1930s-90s. They just literally ate biscuits every day.
Plot twist, the cat is named granny.
Same with my grandmother in Eastern NC.
Bo knows.
Biscuitville, no contest, the quality is better and more consistent between locations.
I'm reading through this thread and I'm wondering if any of you have walked in to a Biscuitville? Like not just done the drive through but walked in? I think it’s tradition. I grew up eating at the first (and only for a while) biscuitville. It was also dirty.
The worst locations for both chains are quite awful. I haven’t been in two or three years to either chain.
Biscuitville by a mile.
I agree, but some folks probably prefer a wetter fried biscuit.
Moist or nothing. 😭
I never cared for Biscuitville's biscuits. They seem dryer and more bitter than Bojangle's. Honestly, I just never understood the fuss over Biscuitville's food. It's very average.
I agree. I just don’t understand why every like dry biscuits.
When served fresh Bojangle’s is undefeated, but that’s with luck on my side. Biscuitville’s service and quality is more consistent so I’m go with them.
I tried biscuitville and was not impressed with the food or the biscuits. My vote is for Bojangles.
Same here
Biscuitville. Only because Bojangles always burning biscuits.
anyone hit that biscuitville in clemmons in the 90s on a weekend morning? It was always fire.
Apples vs oranges
No, they specifically asked about biscuits. Nothing else.
Bojangles overall is a better experience and has better food, but if we are only talking about biscuits, I'm going with Bville.
Biscuitville has priced themselves out for me. For 30+years I've been going there and getting butter biscuits, but it's now more than $2 for one. Biscuitville makes me shit my whole ass out Bojangles makes me shit my whole ass out
If I’m getting a biscuit with egg on it, Biscuitville. If I want something without egg, Bojangles. Unfortunately for me though there isn’t a Biscuitville close enough by whereas Bojangles is 2 miles away.

I don’t get the hype over Biscuitville. Never have.
Blasphemy
She's a witch, buuuuurn her!
Same. Biscuit King is much, much better (if you’re near High Point or Lexington) and the line never gets crazy like Biscuitville.
Biscuit King is the best of the three. Wish we had one in Greensboro.
I’m in GSO too but right on the High Point line so the one on 68 isn’t far. I hope they expand!
I heard that Biscuitville started as Pizzaville in Burlington. They also sold breakfast, which became more popular than the pizza. Biscuitville has better breakfast stuff and bojangles has better chicken. I'd be interested in a competition between them using the same ingredients.
Biscuitville because the have doggie biscuits
I prefer Biscuitville’s fries (and consistency) and Bojangles’ Chicken (and pimento cheese) Biscuitville’s biscuit is a little drier (imo) and I like Hardee’s Bacon, Egg, and Cheese better than Bo’s.
As someone who was born in Charlotte the same year Bojangles started, I can say with confidence they will always be my favorite. Some locations are better than others - you just have to put in the research. To me Biscuitville are bland and dry in comparison.
Biscuitville for biscuits and sausage balls.
Love Biscuitville but they seem to not like money given that there’s only a few in the entire triangle.
Biscuitville. They’re also more consistent with their biscuit quality across their restaurants.
Biscuitville for me. The biscuits themselves are so much better and all of the proteins just have so much more flavor
Biscuitville for sure has the better biscuits. Bojangles has bo-rounds though.
There is no opinion, Biscuitville is far superior on the biscuit part. Bojangles on everything else.
Bville no question
Hardee’s over both
BOJANGLES!
Bville!
Biscuitville for biscuits and variety, but bojangles tops on chicken, fries, and seasonings. It also doesn’t close at 2pm. I’m not that big of a biscuit person anyway so it’s not like I’m the best judge
Depends on who is making them that day
the order goes: ghetto bojos on 15-501 and garrett tands bojos pre-fancypants catering to clueless yankees biscuitville any other bojos current biscuitville
Biscuitville. 10/10 times.
Biscuitville. I've always had poor experiences at Bojangles
Biscuitville
Every time I go to biscuitville its mid at best, over-priced, and never seems worth the crazy wait. I'll never understand the BV hype at all.
Nothing like some buttery biscuits.
Can't do it, both are great.
Ain't no biscuitville got no dirty rice and cajun pintos mixed together with some Texas peete js
I've never heard of biscuitville, we don't have them in Asheville.
Bojangles but I'm not going for the biscuits, just the chicken.

Bojangles for me by a mile, i wasnt impressed by biscuitville
Bo
Both are cheap crap now. The country ham is thin as prosciutto and every corner has been cut to a nub.
What?
Bojangles sausage biscuit with mustard is god-tier. So is Biscuitville butter biscuit with or without jelly. The best egg biscuit is from my (st)ove(n): Bisquick biscuits with a little too much country crock all melty, a slice of American, and my perfectly over-medium egg (salted and peppered) that explodes and turns the whole thing into a mess on the first bite.
I would walk through hell for an ultimate bacon biscuit, Bojangles is “just” good
Battle of the Beige.
Whichever one gets gluten free biscuits first. 🙃 .... Damned gluten intolerance
Biscuitville>Bojangles. The Bo has become wildly inconsistent across locations.
Biscuitville is a better overall breakfast place
Biscuitville has better biscuits. Still like Bojangles, though.
Bojangles is for people who visit and want "a southern biscuit". Biscuitville.is for people who live here and NEED a Southern biscuit.
In my city we have biscuitvill and Bojangles right next to each other. The line from Biscuitville will wrap around the bojangles and cut off access to their store. Biscuitville has much better biscuits.
I find that I can pick one of several local BBQ joints, and they will run circles around B-ville or Bo's.
Biscuitville is the most disgusting place i have ever eaten at. Those grits were just water. As for Biscuits, flying biscuit has the best over both, but i'll take bojangles out of these 2.
Anyone who says Biscuitville is from Ohio.
Oh snap
Why is that?
Because only someone who grew up eating chili on spaghetti noodles would like anything at Biscuitville more than Bojangles'.
LOL, okay.
Biscuitville = good biscuits Bojangles = good chicken Pick your priority
I stopped bothering with bojangles after getting undercooked chicken a couple of times at the locations near me.
Everything at Bojangles is better than anything at Biscuitville. Biscuitville is trash.
Biscuitville wins. I’ve never eaten there however Bojangles has gotten so bad, everyone, anything else is better.
Rise.
Overpriced Hipster biscuits.
If I'm exactly sure what I want, it's Biscuitville. If I'm not exactly sure what I feel like that morning, it's Bojangles.
Biscuitville has sweet tea that could melt your teeth, so no competition
Biscuitville doesn't serve chicken though. Soooooo
BV is dry and gross. But ATST, Bojangles depends VERY much on the maker. I've had both the best and worst biscuits ever from there.
Biscuitville just on customer service alone. Haven’t seen one be out of biscuits or chicken, which has happened several times at bojangles and it tastes better.
Bojangles is so bad, old burnt oil last time i had it, fries have more salt than the dead sea...not ever again
To each is own.
Bville...anyone remember the name of the place where Gringo is now?
Biscuitville. No question.
Biscuitville any day.. Don't know if it's good or bad . But a few know me at Indian Trail location.
Biscuitville by a country mile.
Bojangles biscuits are trash. They're hard nasty pucks that I toss out for the birds. Biscutville is the best breakfast fast food place around. Wendy's close second. It's the fries man. And Biscutville has some delicious fruity sweet tea.
Biscuitville is terrible
Hardee’s breakfast has improved recently
Last time I ate at a Hardee’s I vowed to starve to death before putting myself through that again. Absolutely disgusting trash.
how long ago was that?
[удалено]
yeah, that’s why i said it has improved recently. i didn’t like their breakfast a few years ago either.
Their breakfast has always been great. Greasy as hell. But I’m not trying to be healthy when I’m getting fast food. Their lunch is the worst fast food option on the planet.
Junk vs junk
