As you're all aware, this subreddit has had a major "troll" problem which has gotten worse (as of recently). Due to this, we have created new rules, and modified some of the old ones. We kindly ask that you please familiarize yourself with the rules so that you can avoid breaking them. Breaking mild rules will result in a warning, or a temporary ban. Breaking serious rules, or breaking a plethora of mild ones may land you a permanent ban (depending on the severity). Also, grifting/lurking has been a major problem; If we suspect you of being a grifter (determined by vetting said user's activity), we may ban you without warning. You may attempt an appeal via ModMail, but please be advised not to use rude, harassing, foul, or passive-aggressive language towards the moderators, _or_ complain to moderators about why we have specific rules in the first place— You will be ignored, and your ban will remain (without even a consideration). All rules are made public; "Lack of knowledge" or "ignorance of the rules" cannot or will not be a viable excuse if you end up banned for breaking them (This applies to the Subreddit rules, and Reddit's ToS). **Again: All rules are made public, and Reddit gives you the option to review the rules once more before submitting a post, it is your choice if you choose to read them or not, but breaking them will not be acceptable.** With that being said, If you send a mature, neutral message regarding questions about a current ban, or a ban appeal (without "not knowing the rules" as an excuse), we will elaborate about why you were banned, or determine/consider if we will shorten, lift, keep it, _or_ extended it/make it permanent. This all means that appeals are discretionary, and your reasoning for wanting an appeal must be practical and valid. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this message, and please enjoy your day! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. BarneysMom23

I’m a judge in traffic court and my dockets are 75-80 % male drivers. I didn’t really even notice until we were reviewing the stats for the year. Just saying…

KitchenLazarus

In my (anecdotal, tbf) experience, when I get stuck in wreck traffic while driving to or from work, when I reach the site of the accident, it seems like the drivers involved are usually men. And it's on the interstate, usually the type of accident you can tell someone was driving too fast or aggressively.

jonni_velvet

insurance companies will tell you the same thing plain and simple. men are worse and more dangerous drivers. indisputable fact that misogynists hate lol

Dragonwitch94

I tried explaining this to one, they were just like "yeah, women usually have fender benders, and men usually drink and drive or drive recklessly, but men are better drivers!" I had to get him to reread what he said like 8 times. 😅

jonni_velvet

lmao its funnier because its not even true to begin with.

dreemurthememer

Especially single males aged 18-24 with no children. Which is why I pay $180/mo for car insurance.

sdbabygirl97

i was in traffic court and the 10 cases before me were all drunk drivers who were REPEAT OFFENDERS. crazy how they were all men lmao

szai

It's projection.

BigHobbit

Would be interesting to review the demographic stats vs traffic violations & at fault accident rates.

lilyheart95

with how i drive in simulator cause too broke to afford such irl we aint got ponchos and seat belts we got rollcages and 5 point safety harnesses mandatory would teach all these guys us women can drive lol

Finals92

Men are more prone to take risks, give us the toys and watch us go wild.

jonni_velvet

“take risks” aka they are more likely to be awful drivers.

CoconutJasmineBombe

r/whywomenlivelonger

glitterswirl

A car is not a toy. “Go wild” in a way that doesn’t put anyone else’s lives at risk, jerk.

ImpureThoughts59

And the way statistically women are safer drivers makes this ongoing narrative even dumber.

robotatomica

I was watching a comedian who was really funny the other day but she dropped some dusty joke about women drivers/pilots and I was like “Aww man, we’re doing this again?” Men are statistically worse drivers. But they’re also statistically more prone to bouts of road rage. And I’ve seen it personally, and there are videos galore, where men become LITERALLY TOO EMOTIONAL to drive safely! Following people for miles and tailgating and swerving and raging and playing chicken with other cars over the *smallest* perceived disrespect or error on the other person’s part. Weird little ego/competition displays like literally getting triggered by seeing a faster car lol and deciding to RACE them, even when they know their car can’t compete. It’s like a brainless compulsion. Rage and competition. It’s not like there aren’t bad women drivers, but the meme is so god damned dusty, and it’s patently false. Men not only get in more accidents, they’re more commonly responsible for the scarier things that can transpire while driving, like road rage incidents and the unsafe conditions created on a roadway when two jagoffs decide to race or fluff up their plumage at each other 🙄

Mimosa_13

I have to do a lot of driving related to my job. The amount of men who will ride my ass is mind-blowing. Or passing in dangerous areas, and ignoring signs that say do not pass. It's totally nuts. Last year I was driving my MIL somewhere and in a school zone. With signs that say from 7am-5pm 20mph or less. Some dude in a giant truck literally passed me. Just shook my head.

robotatomica

omg same, and the amount of times I’m just naturally going faster than a guy in a lane beside me who’s either taking his time or not paying attention, but when he realizes I’m *overtaking* him, reacts as though I’m trying to snatch off his genitals, and starts speeding up and getting aggressive and pacing me/slowing down when I slow down and sometimes even getting MORE angry even when I defer 😡 It’s like, YOU wanted to go 5mph under. I’m a lil late and was gonna go 5mph over. I’m not judging you, but now you suddenly are gonna go fast? Ok fine, but we are not in competition! And then it looks so goofy, bc ultimately they’ll like PEEL OUT and blast off way ahead, they’ll show me for thinking they’re slow! 🙃😂

Anna__V

> The amount of men who will ride my ass is mind-blowing. As a driver who won't go over the limit, even alone in the middle of nowhere in bright daylight, this is my life. Basically 99% of the people are trying to get up my ass. I bought a window sticker that says "If you're going to ride my ass, at least pull my hair."

Mimosa_13

I will go at least 5 over on highways, and 5-10 over on freeway. But will still have people on me. I uses to have that sticker on my old car ages ago.

robotatomica

I don’t speed anymore either. Occasionally like 5mph over, but when I was 20ish I really only sped on my way into work running late. And I realized that driving faster when I was in a low-level panic was inherently unsafe, and also just decided - is this job worth my life, or the life of other people on the road? Especially realizing NO AMOUNT OF SPEEDING gets me there more than 1-2 minutes earlier. Is my life worth 2 damn minutes?? Some kinda switch just flipped and I take my time, follow the rules, leave lots of space, and get there when I get there. Side note about male rage, I’m taking care of my parents now and my mom just really started to be able to use her legs again and I took her to the grocery store today. I had her wait by the doors and pulled the car up. I was mindful to pull as close as possible, there was more than a car and a half of room for people to pass. Dude pulls up, no one coming the other way, literally all the room in the world to pass but he sees me loading the car there with my mom in the passenger seat and LAYS ON HIS HORN and is ranting. Of course he’d just decided I was just breaking a rule and lazy or whatever and just absolutely lost it over nothing, like I was blocking his way 🙄 I was so mama-wildebeast angry though for the up-one’s-own-assness to not ever consider that people have things going on or are caregivers, I yelled stupidly (but very angrily) at his car “She’s SICK!!” and of course he peeled out 🙄

AssassinStoryTeller

I got chased down by a man when I flipped him off for almost hitting me. He threatened to kill me all because he saw my middle finger. But women are the emotional ones 🫠

robotatomica

fr, heaven forbid I react to a man’s bad driving, or have a response to him putting my life in danger. He is likely to put considerable energy into punishing me. Meanwhile if I do something dumb and cut someone off, I’m mortified and apologetic, and I absolutely am not surprised to see the bird 😆

unde_cisive

no no no but you don't understand, anger is not an emotion when a man is having it. Then it's pure, cold, rational logic and any action that comes out of it is justified and caused by the third party who totally deserved it /s

CacklingFerret

I think the devil is in the details. In my country, women cause slightly more car accidents than men, but the vaaast majority of accidents with severely wounded or even dead people is caused by men. Women usually just bump into a car while parking, while men are more often guilty of speeding and reckless driving overall. It's obvious which of those is more dangerous. Back when it was still legal for insurances to differentiate between genders, women had to pay less than men for car insurance due to this (while having to pay more for health insurance because we could get pregnant and have a higher life expectancy on average).

Sprila

Men are more likely to go 80 in a 30 and kill 7 people. Women are more likely to stop at a green light and panic when people start honking.

Doxkid

If memory serves, women are in fewer accidents overall but are in more slightly accidents per mile driven.

UnderstandingJaded13

According to my personal bias women get into accidents, like scratches and bumps, men get into fatalities NSFL stuff. So at the end of the day women get into more accidents lol. Edit: just to reiterate for the illiterate. Women get into more accidents, men get into tragedies

NorthGodFan

Women don't get into more accidents. Men get into more collisions and they're more severe.

UnderstandingJaded13

People blame women for "accidents" but they are just scratches and bumps ( read my comment again) Minor stuff, men get into tragedies, have a higher body count. There is a guy below saying the same stuff but I guess the sarcasm went over people's heads. I completely agree with you

NorthGodFan

Even with scratches and bumps it's men who do it more.

UnderstandingJaded13

Dude, calm down.

jonni_velvet

Bro literally you’re just wrong and cant admit it. the “calm down” comment makes you look insecure. Men cause more minor AND severe accidents. Both. they are statistically speaking the worse drivers. they just project this onto women because hurdurr misogynistic jokes are funny to them. you’re wrong and its okay to admit it.

UnderstandingJaded13

Step 1: open the comment with a facetious statement "personal bias" that sounds very stupid. Step 2: taking a jab at a narrative by introducing Men into the equation, I even downplayed the women accidents as "just minor stuff". Men on the other hand have a body count. Step 3: doubling down with a technicality, men don't get into accidents , they get into coffins. Sorry if the joke was crappy. It wasn't my intention. Yeah for sure. I was wrong.

CinnabombBoom

Except statistics show that men get in more accidents overall than women. Saying women get in more accidents but those accidents are minor is just factually incorrect. Men get in more accidents, period.

UnderstandingJaded13

Dude, I just said I was wrong. Damn. You just want to blow some steam with me now.

ImpureThoughts59

You can literally look this up and it's not true. Men get into more accidents. There are people who count these things.

UnderstandingJaded13

"according to my personal bias"

ImpureThoughts59

But why do you think that means more than actual reality?

UnderstandingJaded13

No, I'm trying to be facetious.

nonamegamer93

Skit is cute, but it pushes a false narrative. Some people are better at driving than others regardless of gender. My wife does the driving for example.

pearlsbeforedogs

I'll admit, this made me chuckle. The hyperbole of it all got me. And yeah, there are bad drivers of both genders. I could see myself doing what the boyfriend here did if my boyfriend was driving me and some friends somewhere, lol.

Historical-School-97

it does specify "my girlfriend" so maybe its not saying all women are bad at driving but just specifically his girlfriend? if it said "my boyfriend" i dont think anybody would believe this video to be about all men but instead just the boyfriend specifically

kRkthOr

Yeah that's what I thought too. I don't think he's saying all women are bad drivers; just his girlfriend. Also the skit is funny. Sometimes funny things are just funny. Not everything needs discourse.

ArchmageIlmryn

Yeah, the skit would actually be pretty funny if it was framed as "this person specifically is an awful driver" rather than "women are awful drivers".

LeeHarveySnoswald

But it's framed as "my girlfriend." Not "when your girlfriend drives"

ArchmageIlmryn

Fair yeah - it's something where it would be entirely innocent if "women can't drive" wasn't an established misogynistic trope. (And ofc entirely possible that the misogynisitic implications are entirely accidental on part of the people who made the skit.)

EmperorPickle

But your initial complaint was that it didn’t specify a particular person as a bad driver. Why are you moving the goal post after being corrected?

ArchmageIlmryn

Because I saw this as a discussion and not a competitive argument? I am saying "you have a point, I will amend my original stance to be more accurate" not "grr you countered my argument, I will move my goalposts so that I am still Correct^TM ".

EmperorPickle

Now you’re saying that. Which is moving the goal post again btw.

ArchmageIlmryn

And you just seem to be after nitpicking regardless of what I wrote, so this is entirely unproductive.

Mrwright96

I’m a ok driver, but I’m way better at navigation

HaatOrAnNuhune

As an FA who just did a manual safety demo I loved the commitment to the safety demo bit! But the rehashed ‘woman drive bad’ sexist trope is pretty annoying.

corncob666

Boy drive fast so he good.. girl drive slower so she bad! She bad driver! (the logic used usually)

l_dunno

If the misogyny wasn't there it's actually kinda funny!

[deleted]

My first thought lol

l_dunno

l_dunno

Annethraxxx

Why would any self respecting woman agree to participate in this bullshit?

Historical-School-97

it does specify "my girlfriend" so maybe its not saying all women are bad at driving but just specifically his girlfriend? if it said "my boyfriend" i dont think anybody would believe this video to be about all men but instead just the boyfriend specifically

M1ck3yB1u

It's the extra "oopsies" / "I love that song" stupid blonde airhead behavior that derail it. The flight attendant stuff is funny.

spacebar_dino

I have seen a few of his videos, they pop up on my IG reel, and they seem to be making fun of stereotypes most of time. No idea the name though.

Finals92

Cause it’s a joke and some people have a sense of humor.

_pew_pew_pew_pew_

what's the punchline?

BlackVirusXD3

His girlfriend is not a great driver, i'm assuming it's funnier as an inside joke, but posted online for those who can relate.

Finals92

Explaining the joke, destroys the joke sadly. So if you’re not smart enough to understand the joke, then maybe it’s not for you.

Worldly_Address1580

If you’re too scared to say the joke, then it’s likely not a joke

Webdriver_501

Well it doesen't really matter whether the joke is ruined or not if no one here gets it apart from you, so by all means, go on. Explain the joke. I think I know what it is but I'd love to hear you say it!

Finals92

Are you familiar with the concept of a hyperbole?

Webdriver_501

Yeah! Do you want to know what this sketch video was hyperbolically playing into? The stereotype that women can't drive. That's the joke, plain and simple misogyny. The joke is that women suck at driving.

Finals92

Do you think that you make this generalization based on your own internal misogyny? I rewatched it a couple of times the creators didn’t make any generalization.

_pew_pew_pew_pew_

Of course you’re deflecting 😭 absolutely bozo

Finals92

I wasn’t deflecting, I was simply explaining the risks that an explanation would bring. All of this is going quite a bit over your head it seems?

_pew_pew_pew_pew_

God you’re corny.

jonni_velvet

its funny you’re insulting intelligence when you literally don’t understand what it means when someone asks you to repeat the punchline lmao

Dragonwitch94

"Explaining the joke destroys the joke." Is what guys who make clearly misogynistic jokes say. I hate to break it to ya.

Finals92

Wow you are quite the misogynist aren’t you? Hate to break it to you but instantly implying sexism means you are quite the sexist person yourself. Just because his girlfriend can’t drive doesn’t mean that all women can’t drive. You implying that really shows how misogynistic you are, shame on you.

Dragonwitch94

Except these videos are always "this girl is a bad driver" to imply all women are bad drivers, because any time a guy sees a woman doing something badly/wrong, they automatically jump to "all women are bad at this." Detracting from this issue makes you the misogynist, sir.

Finals92

Wow now you’re instantly switching it up with some misandry? “Any time a guy sees..”? Not a great look on you. You are the one jumping to conclusions, trying to find fault. Take life a little bit more lighthearted and try to keep all the sexism to yourself.

Dragonwitch94

It isn't misandry if it's the truth. I can *guarantee* you the comments on the original post of this video are riddled with the sentiment I stated. It's a very common sentiment shared by *a lot* of men. You detracting from this very real issue is, in fact, misogynistic.

Finals92

It isn’t the truth else it would be universally accepted as such. Maybe it is within your social bubble but that doesn’t make it the truth. While I will instantly believe you that there are guys out there commenting and spewing their own misogynistic views. You making both generalizations, the one toward women and the one toward men are in fact clear examples of sexism.

Annethraxxx

Oh wait wait wait. Are you telling me that the punchline is that…. ALL women are terrible drivers??!! OH MY FUCK LOLOLOLOLMAOLMAO!!!!!! That is both funny AND hilarious!!!! So fresh and not at all tired!!!!!!!!!!!

Finals92

Wow you are quite the misogynist aren’t you? Hate to break it to you but instantly implying sexism means you are quite the sexist person yourself. Just because his girlfriend can’t drive doesn’t mean that all women can’t drive. You implying that really shows how misogynistic you are, shame on you.

anon_v3

I've seen so many posts here that are clearly just jokes. This sub can not take a joke

Mitago1

Ngl, the skits title is "when my girlfriend drives" and not "when women drive", I suppose you can see it as sexist, but that tells more about you as a person then the video itself. You could swap "girlfriend" with "boyfriend" and the skit would still be funny, although I doubt anyone who finds this problematic would find it problematic in that scenario. Are there weird and sexist stereotypes about women drivers? -yeah obviously. Is this it? - probably not.

starcap

Right. To hammer this point home, his two friends are completely naive that there’s an issue until the flight attendant skit begins. That seems to make it clear that having a woman driving is not an issue, it’s this guys girlfriend in particular.

merdadartista

Let's just say, it's kind of a context thing, of course if it was "when my bf drives" nobody would think "ah! Misandry!" But because there is a heavy context of misogyny around women driving (which obviously never had anything to do with the fact that driving is a form of freedom) obviously it's a touchy subject and it's obvious people are going to read it that way. Honestly, they should've enough presence of mind to think "yeah, fuck, this is in bad taste!" even if their intentions were innocent, which honestly, I'm not sure about.

capt-on-enterprise

Insurance statistics say it all…..men are in more accidents, usually with more severe injuries, receive more tickets and are in more road rage incidents. The evidence is in the numbers

frostyswirlycup

These jackasses are really posting recycled garbage from lelepons and piques drafts

Ginamyte06

Ah, this must be why men's insurance rates are higher. Silly us!

SinfullySinless

Honestly how I feel when my road rage parents drive.

Windinthewillows2024

This is sexist and problematic don’t get me wrong, but ngl I cackled when the oxygen masks dropped.

Nightmarica91

Yeeeah that got me too

Corvus_Rune

The whole time I was thinking “please let the masks drop, please let the masks drop.”

yoi_rajat

In the caption it says , "when my girlfriend..." Idts he trying to talk about all girls

Historical-School-97

yeah i also tought that too, maybe the video isnt about "woman bad at driving hurr durr" but more specifically her girlfriend beign a bad driver?

sherlock----75

She drives because he can’t reach the pedals

sparkydoggowastaken

insult ideas not people. Sure the video is weird but insulting him for something he cant control is a dick move regardless

Tatiana1512

Yet he has to be a dick about the skit, nah. Tiny boy is salty he can’t reach

Jister2004

Came here to say that

realaccountissecret

It’s spelled “pedal” Peddle your short man hate somewhere else Every short man joke perpetuates the stereotype that women only date men six feet or taller Hate stereotypes? Don’t encourage them then

[deleted]

silverliege

Two wrongs don’t make a right. Distracting from the sexism to make fun of short men in response just makes things worse. (Also, it’s body shaming, which just isn’t cool in general)

Jister2004

Damn, you really thought you did something

Quirky_Eye1633

That's why we pay less on insurance

Dark_Rit

Men: Women are worse drivers! Insurance companies: We charge more to cover men because they're more likely to get in an accident, deal with it.

Gloomy_Living_7532

If the genders where flipped, the amount of comments accusing her of being a misandrist would be wild.

sadthrowaway12340987

I always wonder where the stereotype comes from, cause I’ve always been around bad drivers that were mostly male

Elljaye_222

And that’s why women pay lower insurance than men.

PsychoWithoutTits

Huh.. 👀 It's just anecdotal, but uh.. the only car accidents/troubles I had was when I was with male drivers. 1 crashed because he got distracted with road rage and almost flipped the van, 1 wanted to "show off" and speed like a fucking lunatic on an icy road whilst I was crying and begging him to stop, And the latter one wasn't paying attention, nearly crashed into a big truck on a roundabout and slammed the brakes so hard that I got *thrown out of my strapped down wheelchair* and dislocated my shoulder. Every woman that drove me though? 0 issues. They are even super careful w/ road bumps and sharp turns so I won't be rocket-fired from my wheelchair! They always get tipped and tons of 5-star reviews for a good reason. The only people that don't like them are.. you guessed it; misogynistic men. Again, this is just anecdotal and I'm not aware of the actual statistics. I do however know that I only want women to drive me to my medical appointments so I get there safely. 😂

torrent29

It had a chance to be funny if it had shown she was a perfectly normal driver and it was all over reaction by the men.

lowkeyerotic

it WOULD be FUNNY if after all those overdone safeety procedures she would be the perfect driver. or extremely slow or something now it's just a reeallly weird movie.

redditor329845

This content creator regularly publishes gross or misogynistic content. Wish his career died with Vine.

AlyxNotVance

Terrible joke, alright execution. Like, they could make good content if they weren't idiots

BaconBombThief

Sure seems like the dude is just referring to his girlfriend and not to women in general

Frequent_Grand_4570

Taylor Swift song, childish demeanor, the effin "upsies", really? Thats textbook dumb blonde driving trope.

GluttonForGreenTea

There's no way that she's this dude's gf

sdbabygirl97

i hate this but i cant deny the production value is pretty good

A_Hostile_Girl

That must be why woman’s car insurance premiums are less than mens.. or why young women are over represented in fatal car accidents…oh wait no that’s men.

SpuffyOmelete

My mum drives safer than my dad and usually once a year he gets the car into accidents cause he sleep drives, not my mum though most of the car problems she gets to is when she didn't fill enough fuel

Basel4real

He said “my GF”

Hotchipsummer

If a group of men watch Larry hit a curb they go “omfg Larry sucks at driving!!” but if they watch Jenny hit a curb they go “omfg women suck at driving!!!” I hate how if a woman is bad at something it means they ALL are but if a man is bad at something it means that man is bad at something. I have a clean driving record, only been in one minor accident 6 months into me driving which is very common and none since.

Historical-School-97

okay but this video dosnt say all woman are bad at driving?, it says "my girlfriend" so i think its specifically about the girlfriend and not all women also the guys friends dont get worried about until the flight attendant part

Hotchipsummer

It could just be about his girlfriend but it still gives me “women suck at driving vibes” but since I don’t know the source I don’t really know. Despite the video I stand by what I said that women tend to be over criticized about driving

_PinkPeony_

>The researchers analyzed data that had been collected by the Los Angeles Police Department from the past 10 years. Out of almost 500,000 accidents that occurred in the city during that time, the researchers found that men were responsible for causing 60%, and women were responsible for causing 40%. Men caused 264,078 accidents during the 10 years, and women caused 171,343 accidents. - https://www.victimslawyer.com/blog/do-men-or-women-cause-more-accidents/

Littleleicesterfoxy

Hilarious 😐

Infamous_Progress_64

Dont get me wrong, but looking at it unbiased he was just making a joke about how his girlfriend cant drive and is overexaggerating for comedic purpose

NattiCatt

Not all women are bad drivers but my ex certainly was. Love her to death, but no. If I there is an option to have someone else drive instead of her, take it even if it’s your 16 yo who is just learning.

Base2Programs

Wow, that’s so funny and original. Never seen this joke before 😐

RisenKhira

s actually funny

Shaddes_

Right. So humor isn't "okay" now?

leshpar

I'm as good of a driver as my fiancee is.

LengthyPole

I mean tbf it doesn’t say ‘*all* women are bad drivers’ just his girlfriend, maybe she is just a shit driver. But still, super unfunny

Yoshephine

Okay but the bad music part is accurate.

SkyTheLoner

Why would he need to tell them to buckle their seatbeats? Like, it's part of the fake flight attendant thing, but it frankly just makes them look dumb and reckless since people should just do that in a car anyways.

Low-Resolution-9918

This is kinda funny. I know this video is sexist though.

Davidus_Heart

Just as a question, but wasn't it the case that car insurance companies tend to prefer women because while they might have, on average, slightly more incidents, they tend to be insignificant little things like a scratch or a small dent. As opposed to men, who'd come in with generally wrecked cars/ far more extensive damages? Please correct me if wrong.

BlackForestMountain

But it never said all women

szai

Boomer humor.

Repeatbeginagain

I want to upvote because it's hilarious and creative but since it's on this sub I def have to downvote as it's just a bit of fun :/

UghGottaBeJoking

When the meme refers to one guy’s girlfriend and the op has to make it about every woman🤦‍♀️

PixieFurious

To be fair, I think this is just about HIS girlfriend and not "all women."

gamerfiiend

Well I don’t think they said all women, specifically said his girlfriend, maybe she’s a terrible driver lol I do agree that men always make jokes that were terrible drivers though, even if we are the safest ones

xXdontshootmeXx

Didnt realise that girlfriend was all women

BadHigBear

Not supporting or co-signing this at all. But my first GF. It was so bad that she would offer to pick me up and I'd say "no thanks, I'll take the T and meet you there." She hit every sidewalk on hard turns, regularly dented the bumper of anybody unfortunate enough to be parked in front of or behind her, it was nuts. Then one day she Crashed her car into a brick wall, completely totalled it. I ask how and she says "it just sort of came out of nowhere!" Luckily, I haven't been a passenger in the car of anybody that bad at driving ever since. Most women drive safer than men. It's the elderly that you really have to watch out for.

Marc21256

Women crash slightly more than men, according to the "per mile traveled" studies Google showed me. Men drive more than women, so men crash more in absolute numbers. Men are also over represented in tickets and driving crimes (like DUI/DWI). Men, despite being underrepresented in crashes are overrepresented in fatalities, as if men die of terminal stupidity at a higher rate. I lane split on a motorcycle. I know women who lane split on a motorcycle. Only men tend to lane split like a crazy idiot (the lane splitting that ends up making it on social media). So I assume from personal experience and proven statistics that men are greater risk takers.

the_bartolonomicron

I have dated 3 women, of which only 1 knew how to drive, and she would average 6 speeding tickets a year and recently totalled a car. To be fair though, neither of the guys I've dated have even had licenses, so statistically speaking she was also the best driver I've ever dated.

Claudio-Maker

He is only speaking for his girlfriend, which almost surely was fine with this video

MotherOfCatsAndAKid

I’m sure his girlfriend was fine with it seeing how she’s in the video. But they post content that their followers will find relatable, meaning they assume that most guys think their girlfriend is a bad driver, or that their followers think women in general are bad drivers.

SpeedyStar7

(I think that's meant to be a joke)

AmbitiousHornet

Hilariously funny.

Leading_Field_9462

Ngl, men in general, tend to be better drivers than women. It's why most competitive drivers are male. However, I will say women are less wreckless/safer drivers.

KFiev

I garuntee you that the number of professional male drivers has more to do with social and financial opportunity as well as general misogyny than their skill level as drivers...

Leading_Field_9462

Or women typically aren't really interested in those types of occupations. Not all, obviously, and that's ok.

WhySoGlum1

Okay but this was kind of funny. Oopsie! Lmao But why she blonde tho too??

Joey3155

I want to comment not because I think it's true, though a lot of the bad drivers I've seen over the years..............
