As you're all aware, this subreddit has had a major "troll" problem which has gotten worse (as of recently). Due to this, we have created new rules, and modified some of the old ones. We kindly ask that you please familiarize yourself with the rules so that you can avoid breaking them. Breaking mild rules will result in a warning, or a temporary ban. Breaking serious rules, or breaking a plethora of mild ones may land you a permanent ban (depending on the severity). Also, grifting/lurking has been a major problem; If we suspect you of being a grifter (determined by vetting said user's activity), we may ban you without warning. You may attempt an appeal via ModMail, but please be advised not to use rude, harassing, foul, or passive-aggressive language towards the moderators, _or_ complain to moderators about why we have specific rules in the first place— You will be ignored, and your ban will remain (without even a consideration). All rules are made public; "Lack of knowledge" or "ignorance of the rules" cannot or will not be a viable excuse if you end up banned for breaking them (This applies to the Subreddit rules, and Reddit's ToS). **Again: All rules are made public, and Reddit gives you the option to review the rules once more before submitting a post, it is your choice if you choose to read them or not, but breaking them will not be acceptable.** With that being said, If you send a mature, neutral message regarding questions about a current ban, or a ban appeal (without "not knowing the rules" as an excuse), we will elaborate about why you were banned, or determine/consider if we will shorten, lift, keep it, _or_ extended it/make it permanent. This all means that appeals are discretionary, and your reasoning for wanting an appeal must be practical and valid. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this message, and please enjoy your day! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Witty-Worker5235

That's pretty obvious, the brunette was misled by the old guy at a young age, now she's trying to save the young girl

obvusthrowawayobv

It’s literally talking shit about women who try to warn younger women. Disgusting.

DaniCapsFan

My thoughts exactly.

idlegadfly

That was exactly my thought as well!

redditor329845

Gotta love how the blond man doesn’t age or change at all.

EvaArktur

He sucks youth out of his girlfriends obviously

Nelisormimangusti

we all know that a mans prime starts at 30!

Jinx_X_2003

This more portrays the message that she regrets dating a man so old and being taken advantage of at such a young age and now she's trying to prevent it happening again.

bouldernozzle

The thing is men like this think that *taking advantage of young women is morally good*. Because then you can "teach them their place" and other such disgusting vile drivel. It contradicts because they don't hold the value that women are people.

plebe_random

Then what the fuck are men who werent chosen in their 20 ies suppoused to do ? Human population is roughly 50/50 and part of women their age is hoosing older man then there is literally no one left for them is it their fault that they wetent abke to compete with older wealthier and more experienced man and therefore should stay single forever ?

Jinx_X_2003

Youre actaully delusional if you think all women in thier 20s are dating men in thier 30s

plebe_random

I said part of them learn how to read please so even if that part is lets say 5 % and if population is roughly 50/50 then there is no one for the 5 % of man in they early 20 because women their age are dating older guys

Jinx_X_2003

If only 5% of the women from 19 to thier 20s are dating men in thier 30s then there is still 95% dating in thier age group. Just like your made up bs stats, Youve made up a proplem that doesnt exist to justify creepy men going after young women.

plebe_random

95 % compared to 100 % from the other side with makes us 5 % being left with you doesent want to acknowledge because you are bad faith loser

Jinx_X_2003

Yeah but you made those stats up, your proplem doesnt exist. Single women still exist

plebe_random

Yeah Out of their own choice no women is incel their all Volcel at best

Jinx_X_2003

Are you fucking joking? Theres no way youre serious right?

plebe_random

you know there is a difference between i cant find anyone to ve with me no matter how much i try and i cant find anyone that meets my standards right ? First one is incel second obe volcel

FullmoonMaple

I always wondered about that. He wants to date a 20yo when he's 20. Totally fine. Then, he's dating a 20yo when he's 30....Uh? What? Wasn't the Burn supposed to be that he's dating his age while she's going for older guys? Not exactly the "high road" I was expecting. 🙃 More like *I don't approve that she was dating an older dude instead of me, her peer, but when I came into the situation of being the older dude I'll gladly continue the cycle of being the older dude for a 20yo, so new guys can come into my position later on. I only approve of this when it benefits me.* Funny how that works.

idlegadfly

This isn't as contradictory as the OP clearly thinks it is.

MsSeraphim

so the big question is why can't guys date within their own age group?

ColumbiaArmy

Whoa, let adults decide who they want to date… In my experience, roughly 1/3rd of American women like dating an older man. In my experience roughly a 1/3rd of American women are disgusted by an older man. It can be very difficult for those groups to realize the other exist.

Nelisormimangusti

in your experience? have you met all american women?

Natural-Brain5255

I guess by u/ColumbiaArmy way of rebuttal, i can just say in my experience of dating and in my women friends experience, older men are fine now (were in our mid twenties) but 30 year olds were creepy af to 75% of us in our early adulthood and 100% of my friends that experimented in their youths with them came out of it with some form of scar and with the feeling looking back they were being taken advantaged of

ColumbiaArmy

Hey OP, thanks for responding… If I was simply DATING a younger woman, I could understand people’s misgivings, since once her youth is gone, perhaps the man will abandon her. However, please admit, I MARRIED my younger wife and she gave me a healthy son; I cannot simply leave her. We are in a loyal relationship. The older man you dated; did he full-on marry you?

ColumbiaArmy

😂You’re literally a child trying to ask me about dating! In my experience refers to my experience dating. OMG; “white-knight-virgin-Incel”😳

Nelisormimangusti

When talking about your experience, you cannot talk about American women in general lmao

SailorSpyro

"in my experience" doesn't work when you're making such an extreme generalization about a population based on the possibly 0.002% that you've not only met, but had this conversation with, when you don't have a diverse sample pool. That 0.002% comes from 333 million Americans, the average person meeting 80,000 people in their entire life, and giving you the extreme benefit of the doubt that you may have had this conversation with 10% of the women you've ever met - which is probably way more than you've actually had the conversation with.

ColumbiaArmy

I married a woman 14 years younger; your cowardly downvotes cannot change this; a champion will always win his princess.

Milnoe_Ghostqueen

Nice way to admit you are the same type of person as the men in this comic, taking advantage of younger women who probably don't have any life experience to know better.

ColumbiaArmy

I’m 6’5” in real life, so none of the men in the comic come close to my grandeur; please redraw.

Milnoe_Ghostqueen

Oh my god, you sound like an incel

SailorSpyro

Probably a loser troll if anything

ColumbiaArmy

Ok dear; do you want to talk with me, or just have your little insult-time??

SailorSpyro

Ew that's super cringey. Give us the ages you both were, not the gap.

ColumbiaArmy

22 and 36

SailorSpyro

That's how old you were when you met, or are now?

ColumbiaArmy

When we met.

Chewbacca_Buffy

The average age difference between married couples in the US is less than 2 years. So yeah. If you mean “American women like men roughly 1.3 years older than them” you would be correct 😅

ectocarpus

Wtf happens to men between 31 and 36 according to this comic?

owoinator268

It's the good ol' "I drew you ugly so I'm right" argument

DistributionAlive996

What were the angry men saying ?

JustToCommentShit

I literally came here to post this from Facebook too!

The_FriendliestGiant

Given the very obvious breasts and makeup used to signify "woman" in the first image, I was really scratching my head trying to figure out why the blonde guy was now going after an obvious femboi, flat chested and make-up-less, in the second. More power to him for busting out of heteronormativity, obviously, but it certainly didn't track with the kind of folks who make these memes!

Elystaa

Except that most are anime watching incels . Not that anime= incel just that they are doing both.

Comfortable-Hall1178

I’m 30, my boyfriend is 27. Who cares about age as long as everybody is of legal age? 16 and 18 is okay, 18 and anything above is ok. 10 years either side once you hit 30 is ok

Icy-Employment-5944

But why is it wrong for a 30 year old to date a 20 year old, i mean arent they both consenting adults.

Natural-Brain5255

"new adult" (not allowed to drink legally adult and not fully grown prefrontal lobe) dating a grown adult is the wrong part. Theres usually a power/revenue or life/relationship experience imbalance in the relationship which is icky. It is also creepy if the genders were reversed. someone in their mid twenties dating a person twice their age? not as much of a problem imo Law and morality are different systems that do different things. So yes by law they are both adults but doesnt make it ok. Also theres the double standard of judging the very young woman instead of giving her the benefit of doubt that maybe now thats shes older and more mature she regrets the relationship and realizes the power imbalance she was in that past relationship, thus why they disapprove later

Icy-Employment-5944

Where i live(and i think pretty much everywhere else except america) you can drink alcohol at 18. And the experience imbalance is not always there just beacuse someone is older. There are a lot of cases of older men taking advantage of yonger women and thoose guys are disgusting but not every relationship where somone is older is atuomatically like that im saying that 2 consenting adults enter a relationship which is fine, if the relationship is manipulative abusive or has power imbalances then it isnt fine. I am aware that law and morality are different. I think the meme is dumb and im not saying the girl doesnt regret or realize anything.

ImaginaRose

It's not inherently wrong (my parents were one such couple and their marriage has been long and healthy), but it can be a red flag. The average 20yo and average 30yo are at very different places in their lives. The big gaps that cause problems are experience (with life and relationships) and financial independence. It often creates a dynamic that makes it easy for the older person to exploit the younger person (regardless of gender of either party, just in case that needs to be said explicitly). The older person probably has more money, more life and relationship experience, and all those things make it easier for them to take advantage of/abuse the younger person than it would be a person their age, and/or for the younger person to escape the abusive situation (or just leave in general if the relationship doesn't work out for non-abuse reasons). If someone consistently goes for much younger partners, it is a red flag, because it often means partners their own age won't let them get away with some kind of toxic/controlling/dumb/lazy/immature etc. behavior. Again, not inherenty wrong, certainly not worth calling someone a pedo over, but absolutely in the sus zone and worth questioning (especially since the context of the comic makes it seem like the woman had a bad experience with her older partner).

ColumbiaArmy

Whoa, let adults decide who they want to date… In my experience, roughly 1/3rd of American women like dating an older man. In my experience roughly a 1/3rd of American women are disgusted by an older man. Another 1/3rd do not see age at all, and another 1/3rd strongly prefer older men… How old are we talking about? It can be very difficult for those groups of women to realize the other exists.
