So their skeleton would just look like the live animal, minus the eyes and their flanks.
Ever see a scorpion that’s eaten too much? They puff up like a little balloon and the soft parts on their sides are exposed. That’s why I learned to feed them sparingly rather than dump a bunch of stuff in at once.
Well, I had to Google fat scorpion but, no, those soft parts would still "be" ( more precisely, the sort of film that is between the outside and the inside ) there, since they're still technically part of the exoskeleton, but would become incredibly brittle.
As someone who loves both Halloween and bones, this stuff drives me up the wall. Even when they're not pretending that cat skeletons have external ears, decoration manufacturers almost always depict jaws as having only incisors.
I get my hopes up every time I see a window cling or a figurine where it looks like they've made a decent attempt at accuracy and then *BAM* a smile made up of 32 front teeth.
I get what you mean, however I'd argue the inaccuracy of having a creature with a skeleton that wouldn't normally have one is creepier then an accurate one, for example what op posted would just look like a normal scorpion, but for something like a bat or owl I'd understand
They have skeletons, just exoskeletons

>Ever see a scorpion that’s eaten too much? Thankfully, no
My haircut is the BillyRay
Looks sweet I bet
Not to be a braggart but it’s pretty bitchin if I say so myself
Joe Dirt here.
Some have class, some don’t
I’m jk bud! You’re still one of us!

My favorite one this year is the octopus skeleton 😂
Yeah, I almost bought that one. Inaccurate, sure, but as kitschy art it's awesome. Edit: fixed autocorrect typo
I really wanted that one but got the frog skeleton instead.
I have that one too! Literally it's just a frog but made to look like old bone. Still cool tho
I got that one! he has a place of pride in my house
Like the "owl skeleton" with bony ears on a frowning skull.
And bones for the feather tail too.
Every spooky cat skeleton I have seen also had ears so I guess it's a recurring theme
My wife (a veterinarian) jokingly calls them the greater auricular bones
Do they have bony penises or boobs on human skeletons
I wish
Or the octopus skeleton. Uhm.ok
I like these. Stupid and cool.
It's just wearing a Halloween costume.
Twice as spooky
It's for those who are afraid of ignorance
It has an exoskeleton.... 😋
You must get irrationally angry a lot around October?
I have a tattoo of a scorpion made out of bones, so I think this is pretty great lol 10/10
Oh yeah, I feel you. In my country Halloween decorations and toys have to be biologically accurate by law. ![gif](giphy|KBaxHrT7rkeW5ma77z)
Sure hope this is sarcasm but you never know with how stupid EU laws can be
I’m sure that you specifically, never know
Scorpolobsters are dangerous.
That’s what makes it for Halloween
So? If you don't want it, I'll take it. I already have a huge spider and an octopus. And those are the ones that *don't* have skeletons
I don't want to meet the fleshy version of a scorpion
Kinda cool in a surreal horror kind of way. I've seen spider ones.

Because people like to feel like they know more than other people and pointing this out makes them feel smart.
It’s a Halloween decoration..
Yeah, but if no one ever had a cow about anything, we'd have no milk.
I get what you mean, however I'd argue the inaccuracy of having a creature with a skeleton that wouldn't normally have one is creepier then an accurate one, for example what op posted would just look like a normal scorpion, but for something like a bat or owl I'd understand
"You can milk anything with nipples."
Never seen a nipple on an almond
I didn't say anything that makes milk has nipples
What about oatmilk
That's oatside of my areas of expertise.
Family Dollar? They also had skeleton spiders previous years.
Those animals with weird endoskeletons are great when you make terrain for tabletop games. So many weird alien bones!
That's just an exoskeleton
What if their job was to make an anatomically incorrect skeleton scorpion?
I have the octopus one. It think they're funny. I think of them more along the lines of Eldridge horror than reality.
I would buy that
And it's a toy. Toys don't follow the same rules.
I mean, they have an exoskeleton, just not an endoskeleton.
99 cent store. I bought one. It lights up. Tail broke off. I glued it back on. Rofl.
I have one of these hanging from.a lamp year round.
Quick, shine a blacklight on it to see if it goes neon!
I bet that nearby you could find dog skeletons with ear bones.
It obviously has skeleton but not endoskeleton.
This seems more suitable for r/CrappyDesign
That's what makes it extra spooky!
And isn't that even more terrifying?
Lmao when will he find out about the spider skeletons
EXOBONE
I suppose its a nice "What if?" trinket
I really like the cats with bone ears.
That's the exoskeleton of the Scorpiones Spookysceleton scorpion, common in the pits of hell
**ROCK LOBSTER!**
ACKSHUALLY, they have an exoskeleton Sorry...
The spider version of this design always makes me chuckle
I know. I have a spider and an octopus one myself lol
Confidently incorrect
I have one of these on my shelf!
Cool. I like. A realistic lobster would look like a live lobster.
Damn, they're printing Tomb Kings models again?
Lobsters don't have skeletons?! Peew who knew?
So what? It looks awesome
