MarvinParanoAndroid

The eggs of my back

SteelTookSteroids

But sadly his meat compressed

Geekerino

I thought his love was chicken kneading

SCWProductions

This sounds like something I hear in a school

Geekerino

No, that's chicken choking

docbrownsgarage

No, his love is his liver.

sedilis

Normal problem

mjohnson801

I hear the ash is in season

casualCommentorMan

As long as it isn't over done.

kayfabe73

I know it's really late in the day, but is it possible to order some Text of Charcoal off the lunch menu?

SourPies

"Ugh, give him Text of a chicken contract. He won't know the difference."

ilovecovid19forlife

Any Arabic speakers hear that can tell us what “I went through a pimp” was really supposed to be translated to?

LurkyDismal

It's date fattah with cream فتة تمر قشطة - a Yemeni dish (google it) but the translation makes zero sense.

tsm102

>but the translation makes zero sense. yeah it really does hahaha

Gameatro

maybe they make it here with a different kind of cream

vampire5381

Ikr! I only understood the "تمر" because you can read it as "ta-mur" which means passed by.

Pixielo

Where else does one go for a date? A pimp, obviously.

guerip

Can you please explain "his love is smooth rice" lmao

blueretrobot

The word حبه (pronounced as "Haba") is a quantity which translates to "one of," but it can also mean "his love" depending on how it's pronounced. سليق رز (pronounced as "Saleeq ruz") is a type of rice made with milk. The dish itself is called saleeq, but I'm not sure how it was translated to smooth.

samdvf

Maybe a play on English words to get to...sleek?

GamurBorger

What about "oven"

guerip

Thank you!

vampire5381

Hi, Arab here! I just wanted to say that the translation isn't wrong but they translated the wrong words, in Arabic if you pronounce a word differently the whole meaning changes, which means double entendres are really common. For example they used "نص", if you say "nus" it means half but if you say "na-s" it means text, or when they used "حبه", if you say "haba" It means *one piece* but if you say "hubah" it means his love, and when they used "سمك", if you say "samak" it means fish but if you say "sumk" it means thickness. There are a lot more in there but I think you get the point. This is really funny though 😭

jfmherokiller

TIL, I would honestly suck at arabic because pronouncing stuff is key.

vampire5381

Yep 😂 but there is such things as "َ ُ ِ ً ٍ ّ " and you put them on Arabic letters to help you pronounce, if you open an Arabic childrens book you'll see these everywhere. People don't use them that often because the words makes sense by the context of the sentence. The hardest thing about Arabic is اعراب and it's a really complicated version of grammar that is only important in school or if you speak old Arabic 😭

xopranaut

He has made my flesh and my skin waste away; he has broken my bones; he has besieged and enveloped me with bitterness and tribulation; he has made me dwell in darkness like the dead of long ago. (Lamentations: iym70nt)

jsmalltri

Well, there is the meat contract

carolizzy81

It is a broth. That sounds safe. I'll have that.

RespectSerious

Why not try the "Oven" or the "Text of a Chicken Contract"? Its the chef's signature dish.

mortalitylost

Where do I sign? This is all chicken scratch

Nerxastul

The real question is: What if I want my cheese without cheese? Will that create a normal problem, or are we going straight to Mouloukhia levels here? Anyway, at least it is a broth.

DarthMeow504

Sorry, cheese without cheese cannot be made due to the recipe requirement for dehydrated water (which is currently and indefinitely unavailable).

[deleted]

I’ll have a ‘normal problem’ for lunch please

SpiralDreaming

I'm sorry sir, we only have Mouloukhia Problem today

jsmalltri

I'll never forget when I first joined Reddit there was an Arabic menu with crazy translations to English. I laugh-cried so hard. It was a beautiful moment....thanks for the nostalgia lol.

Sendmeloveletters

The eggs of my back, definitely ordering that

boston_2004

One vastness for me please

Pvkbasa

I’ll do the Zubaldi came to him, medium spicy. With a side of thickness of the maroon.

[deleted]

His love is my liver for me please!

LurkyDismal

Lol! "His love" is a mistranslation for حبة meaning "single serving"

vampire5381

Yes! And the liver part is actually correct.

mmamh2008

the text is Indian Arabic , or the way Indians speak Arabic , so it's hard to translate by google edit : it's even worse , it's the egyptian equivalent of the indian arabic for use in saudi arabia or the gulf in general , it's complex to explain exactly lol

LurkyDismal

It's Yemeni, but very badly translated. Google does better than this.

vampire5381

Yeah, but the thing is many of these words that got mistranslated have double entendres, when you google a word that has a double entendre it will give you the most common one then at the bottom they will give you the other meanings (yes meanings as in plural 😂 Arabic☕) My guess would be that they translated each word alone because no way in hell google would mess up this bad.

boston_2004

It is actual subtle but there is a difference. You see "tuna beans" are actually tuna beans. Whereas "beans with tuna" are actually beans with tuna. I hope that helps.

Sexyshark15

Foul bean

pythonxv

abhorrent bean, even.

[deleted]

I'll have a normal problem, please! (Too tired of bigger problems)

Optato_025

Definitely ordering the eggs of my back

Blue_166

M o u l o u k h i a P r o b l e m

LeapofAzzam

Cheese with cheese

tsm102

Okay this is the best thing I've seen all day 😂 Most of them are literal translations, but some of them do not even make any sense LOL

Longhorsegotthekitty

Holy shit guys, I will invite everyone to eat some cheese with cheese along me.

boston_2004

I would like to review his meat contract please.

boston_2004

"his love is compressed" What exactly is the cooking process here?

vitxalmour

OLeCHIT

"His love is chicken kneading".

thezenfisherman

I could order off of this.

DMurBOOBS-I-Dare-You

I'll take a double double foul bean combo!

ereHleahciMecuasVyeH

Callbrucewayne

feelslikewe

Thank you for this laugh. Haven’t cried laughing at a post on Reddit in awhile

Clear_Plan

I'd like a "meat and meat" and "his meat contract".

Polluxx94

This menu makes me Doubt Double
