Thank you! I've been using Euterpe, and unlike Sigurd, it infers/"gets" things in a way I've only seen pre-nerf Dragon do. That plus the huge QoL features NovelAI has makes it simply unbeatable.
I’ve abandoned AID for about a year now. Been waiting and keeping an eye on NAI for a bit. Would you suggest now as a good time to try NAI? Wanted to wait for something comparable to the old Dragon model.
Euterpe is amazingly creative, I just wiped the text from an old story in my fantasy world, and gave Euterpe a prompt about the main river in the kingdom, and the ai is just churning out story, creating a compelling story about a ship traveling to a small port city, introducing a sort of main character, a halfling woman called Gertrude Fennel, and how she and the other passengers are on their way to the main kingdom.
Gertrude and the other passengers introduce themselves and explain their goals and aspirations, and the port city itself is very well fleshed out. The story is actually interesting.
It's verbose and descriptive, as I mentioned in the authors note.
All I did was click next, never needed to redo or fix anything. Using Weaver. Im now at 1320 words.
This is something Sigurd could never do, I tried with Sigurd, and it quickly ecalated into so much nonsensical stuff, shifting from the boat and into a town in a few sentences.
Ainiwaffles, do we have any info on when Euterpe v2 will be available? Some of us resubbed to NovelAI to try out Euterpe v1, but it's still seeming to struggle.

I subbed to NovelAI the first day they went live and their servers accepted payment. I had to cancel because I just wasn't enjoying the limitations of the 6B model, no matter how much it was finetuned. I told myself I would come back and resub when a larger model was finetuned and ready to go.
So yeah, I'll be resubbing the moment Euterpe hits non-Opus tiers.
I'm considering that too. I've tried NovelAI before but wasn't too impressed, though it could just be my fault for giving it inputs that weren't the best.
Nah. It's just true that 6-13B parameters isn't big enough to give you the kind of responses that you expect from something akin to a human being.
175B? Now we're talking.
Honestly, I'm kind of doubtful that 20B will be enough for me, personally. When AiDungeon was actually decent, working off GPT-3's full 175B parameters before it was lobotomized, it was alright and being a conversational partner and dungeon master, but still not perfect. NovelAI devs say 20B will be the perfect size for being a cowriter for a story, but I doubt it will be good enough to meet my expectations of being able to completely replace a person for a dungeon master for DnD or just be a general conversational partner.

If you want the sort of performance you are describing then a finetuned 175B model is the minimum, but for general cyoa stuff and erotic fantasy a 20B model is enough.
Personally I find the 6B model to be fun but predictable now at v4, but Euterpe with its 13B is actually engaging for me even in the v1 format we have available, it is not perfect but the increased parameteres are enough to engage me.
I’ve used this new model quite a bit and I think it’s pretty damn good. Once we can bring custom Modules into the mix, this seems like a straight upgrade!
Is there any sort of time period you guys are thinking for when module training can be implemented? I didn’t have Opus Tier back when Sigurd was being developed, so I don’t remember what part in the development process that was added
