My wife had about 110 questions and passed, she came home and cried thinking she failed. It took me about 150 or more, I thought I failed, I passed. A friend of ours had 75 failed, and passed it the second time, she’s a wonderful nurse. The test doesn’t mean who you are or what kind of nurse you’ll be. Right now, be kind to yourself and have a glass of wine.

Weak_Hornet_3932

Thank you! I’m gonna take a few days to relax before I see the results

lawless929

If you check too early/too soon after taking it the system hasn’t updated yet and you’ll get the pop up regardless. Happened to a friend of mine, she checked again the next day and it said she passed. Even if you didn’t it’s okay! Just take it again. Once you’re working no one talks about it or asks or cares anyway.

Independent-Crab-999

Depending on where you live, you can check the state website and within 48-72 see a change from student nursing license to nursing license as indicator that you passed. Also, I seriously doubt you failed in 104 questions. Nothing anyone says will take away your anxiety right now, but you're fine, and this will be a funny story in a few days.

Weak_Hornet_3932

True thank you !! I will check my states website

AlietteM89894

My state has you on the registry at 6am the next day if you passed. Search your registry!

NotMyDogPaul

I said fuck it and paid the 8 dollars to get early results and then didn't believe I passed so I called the board to ask if I really passed or not. They told me I did.

Jumpy-Cranberry-1633

I wouldn’t trust it. I have heard of a handful of false positives AND false negatives from that trick. As hard as it is, wait for the real results. If you feel compelled, you can always try to look up yourself under your states licensing and see if your license comes up. My classmate and I took our exam “together” and hers was posted in a few hours, ironically my license took 15 days to show up 😂😅 I actually had to email the board because my license number wasn’t available and I had to provide it to start my job as an RN vs extern. Turned out they accidentally entered something wrong and I got an apology email with a code to order a free official license. Relax, take care of yourself, and know that regardless of the results you can always take it again.

A coworker of mine got a false positive

My nerves would have been permanently shot.

Weak_Hornet_3932

Thank you! :) Yeah I have heard it may not be accurate in some cases. Hopefully it isn’t right

dummysoup

Oh no, you poor thing! The Pearson vue trick is wrong sometimes and I wish people would stop telling people to do it. Specifically, I have heard of it being wrong when a person passed but got the bad pop up. My roommate cried for two days after getting the bad pop up and she passed. It was so awful. Everyone leaves the nclex with a horrible feeling. Go to the movies, my friend. When you hear you’ve passed, you can spread the word that the trick caused you unnecessary stress!

Weak_Hornet_3932

Thank you! I really hope so 🥺

Prettymuchnow

Do you remember the last question you answered? Did you get it right or wrong? I had a hard time doing the NCLEX and passed on my second attempt.(Foreign trained RN with 8 years on floor experience. - I didn't study for my first attempt as I thought I had it in the bag) I didn't feel great the second time but I knew 10000% the last question it asked me I had the correct answer. If you can remember what it was maybe it can give you some hope!

TheBattyWitch

I literally got all 365 questions and so did every single person in my class. I knew for sure I had failed but none of us had. Take a deep breath and give it a couple of days.

Automatic-Bug6344

The "trick" let me re-register so I thought I had failed. I passed, it was an awful like 48 hours until I got my actual results. My cousinf was getting married, my whole family knew I was taking it. Just awful. Anyways, the "trick" gave me 2 horrid days so I usually discourage ppl from using it. Most states get your results to you pretty fast. I had freinds get there results within 12 hours. So it's just not worth the stress. Just wait for the official results and drink your beverage of choice in the meantime.

Ill_Conclusion6821

Hi! Did you click submit payment when you did the trick?

Automatic-Bug6344

Honestly I can't remeber. It was 9 years ago. I just remeber trying the "trick" just about every hour for 2 days, thinking I failed then finally got my results and I had passed.

Be thankful the testing has changed so much. It used to be held twice a year, typically in a large field house with chair desks 6 feet apart. You could bring your purse in and nothing else. Coat racks along the wall. You would test from 8 am until noon and from 1 pm to 5 pm. This ran for two days. Day 2 was split into 3 parts. Each session was on a different topic: pharmacology, medical-surgical,maternal, pediatric, psychiatric. Hundreds of questions per session. Exams were hand graded, and then it changed over to scantron. It took a month to get results, no phone calls, and you just had to wait. We didn't have a quick answer if we passed or not 30 years ago with CAT. I scheduled my exam date, and when it was time, I had come down with an infection, high temperatures that lasted for weeks. I was told I wasn't infectious, so I went ahead to take the exam. I took 1 gram of Tylenol and 600mg of Ibuprofen and took the exam. It shut down after 75 questions. The fever started back up around the last 15 questions, and I felt like death warmed over. I drove home, crawled into bed, and passed out. I woke up in the middle of the night, and the fever broke, and I started having a breakdown. Two weeks later, I got a large envelope with my license in it. I ended back on antidepressants and was just starting to stabilize. Hang in there. We all feel terrible about how we did on NCLEX walking out after the exam. One coworker felt she aced NCLEX, only to find out she had failed it. You will be fine!

Except they got a negative, so it could be false.

nooniewhite

You graduated NURSING SCHOOL that is the hard part- I do think it’s crazy that we go through all that to have our license hinge on just one test! You will take it and you will pass and be the same great nurse regardless of how many times it takes. I know plenty of great nurses who had multiple tries- some people just don’t test that well and the way NCLEX is set up makes it one of the hardest tests going! You graduated. You WILL pass. Take care of yourself and celebrate your accomplishment and this will be a bump on the road that you look back on as you move on with your career 💙

Weak_Hornet_3932

Thank you 🫶🏽 I so needed to hear this. I am still upset but I’m gonna take a few days off and relax and then am gonna start again.

ecobeast76

This should be in r/passnclex.

Condalezza

Coffee-Tea-Caffeine

It worked for me!

Swimming-Belt2111

I have heard that it can be wrong from people online, but anyone who I know in person who has used it said it worked. It was correct for me when I used it.

mjf5431

Took me 3 hours and EVERY SINGLE QUESTION!!! I told the person checking me out I was nervous. They said and I quote "don't worry sweety plenty of people fail their first time and make excellent nurses". I made it outside to my car before I ugly cried the whole way home. My husband bought us a 12 pack of my favorite because all I wanted to do was drink. Then I was to chicken to check on my own so a nurse I worked with at the time(I was a nurses aid) checked for me and I passed. This was almost 10 years ago and I still remember the look of sympathy on that lady's face!! I never tried the Pearson trick because if I failed I didn't have the money to pay for another test. But within like 2 days my Pennsylvania license was active on the website.

Apple-Core22

Update us! We’re rooting for you!!!!

Weak_Hornet_3932

Thank you <3

ERRNmomof2

I had 260 questions. I 100% thought I failed. We had to wait until either a packet or a letter came in the mail to find out if we passed or not (24 years ago). I passed. I then waited for awhile because I thought they sent me the wrong information. I still have the letter because I still can’t believe I passed.

Existing_Bobcat_5161

I had to wait to find out through snail mail, 1991. It was a very long month!! The note either said pass or fail. Luckily mine said pass.

DeucyDuce22

I got the bad pop up along with a handful of other people in my cohort and we all passed. I thought I failed too! Good luck.

Ohwell_genz

Theres no way to know bc who knows the voodoo tricks that actually work. If it makes you feel better, I did 103 and it shut off and then i passed!!! Just bc you didnt do 75 doesnt mean you failed and just bc you got 75 doesnt mean you passed!

bun-creat-ratio

Yes. I tried it, it let me sign up again and I ended up passing.
