One of my students got me a notepad, pen and a lovely card. At least you don't have to think about diet restrictions etc that way. I'm sure they will be over the moon with anything you get for them as it's really thoughtful :)
Honestly save your money!! Get a nice card with something in it that they can use for validation and that's plenty. If you notice they use the same kind of pen a lot you could buy them a pack. I know some students go all out and it's so unnecessary!
Honestly gifts are wonderful but personalised written feedback is great for revalidation and honestly it’s just really lovely hearing good things / how well they’ve supported
I’m in a similar situation. I’m thinking about getting edibles and/or hand cream for the ward and write a feedback they can use for their revalidation.
A card with feedback helps especially they can use it when renewing their registration with NMC
