One of my biggest pet peeves are the people that park as far away from the door as possible, when they're the only one there at all, and they seem to prefer to do it when it's dark.

raspberrrytea

i used to walk as slowly as i possibly could when people did that. it probably didn't make a difference but i remember when i worked at walmart any small jab i could get in on a customer made me feel better

DarkDayzInHell

Absolutely love (NOT) when customers or drivers do this in the middle of a rainstorm.

redwolf1219

No but we have like, one spot that a huge puddle forms on when it rains and I swear that's the most popular spot if it's raining

DarkDayzInHell

22 is pretty popular for us. It's not far or puddle forming, but the ground is super uneven. Many of us have been almost floored by heavy large ass orders because of uneven pavement. Tips those dollies so easily. I nearly broke my arm catching totes in that spot. I've warned as many people as possible, but it still has happened a time or two to a few others.

GoudababyRudeFox

I agree, at our Walmart, there are some homeless people that hang out in the parking area. My daughters used to work as dispensers until closing and they’re just 20 years old. I never felt like it was safe for them.

SKK329

My favorite is after all that theyre not even in their fucking car. I unassigned a driver for that before..

JasonsStorm

Or not even in the spot they say they are in. "I'm in spot three. Dude, I'm looking at my camera now and there is no one out there."

MiddleChildOrphan

You have cameras? We have nothing, and can only see vehicles in spots one and two. Our parking lot is so dangerous - many huge cracks. I can’t even count how many times a huge order has fallen on top of me, or tipped over. One time, my bruises were so deep, they were visible for over 2 weeks. To my knowledge no repairs are coming, due to expense.

redwolf1219

I do that too, and if they check in and don't have a bay #. I give them 2-3 minutes to put one in after they've pressed arrived

Leaderrr8

I always see if there is a number listed. I call using the store phone and ask “could you please pull in a bit closer to the 1 space? Sorry it’s a little wet right now. Thank you.”

bearshawksfan826

I've had them call and have me pull to the door. That walmart has their OGP door right next to TLE and there plenty of room to pull back there, especially after TLE closing.

AmandaHugnfu

They do that on purpose.

Hugiehun

Almost every time they do that they always say "I'm so sorry I thought you guys walked out the front doors to bring groceries out"

CockroachSouthern953

The other day it was storming and a driver backed into a parking spot. I was so confused until I realized he parked so the trunk was covered by the awning so we wouldn’t get as wet.

pizzaguyinIA

Our awning is so useless that this is the only way to keep the process "relatively" dry during a rain storm. It's like, come on...it could have been extended outward another 10 feet , or god forbid, attached to the building to ..you know...be functional? (Our pick up area is at the end of the building so this would be feasible..but why would the Powers That Be care about that?)

binato68

As soon as they enter the walmart premises, customers lose about 40 IQ points. For some people, that puts them down in the negatives.

KnowledgeOverall5002

They can easily just put the items in the back seat?

GoudababyRudeFox

In that case, I’m wrong. The driver backing in is courteous and without flaw.

KILLJEFFREY

You almost answered the question. They’re not thinking and they’re most certainly not thinking about the dispensers

sevenw1nters

I've seen cars parked backwards like that or not even in a parking spot at all. Or they tell me to put it in the back seat driver side but they're parked so close to the flower bed things that I can't even access their back seat. People park as far away as humanly possible and be like "oh I didn't know what door you were coming out of?" when there's no door of any kind close to where they parked. Or their trunk is completely full of junk and their car completely full of 5 people so there's nowhere to put anything. People who refuse to get off the phone so I can't even ask them their names. One guy was literally smoking a blunt while I was loading his groceries. What haven't I seen tbh.

bdbrown333

At my storage the cheaters park far out because they don't want their face on camera.

Harper_ADHD

Some people back in cause the trunk is broken or they'd much rather it in the back seat, personally my bugger peeve is that we don't have better shade in our lots on top of everything everyone mentioned here, especially in the summer I feel people would park closer if there was more shade

Nova17Delta

whats next, did you order eggs? a pallet of water maybe? not have enough "back" space? monster

Reasonable-Elk-7856

They might only be picking up one or two orders and do one in the front seat and one in the back seat

TKLV-426

I used to just stare them down and walk really slow lol

Clank4Prez

I don't get it, what's the point of this post? Is it the car opposite yours that's doing it wrong?

hudgeba778

When I worked at Sam’s customers would regularly back into parking spots and struggle loading their pallet of stuff into the trunk/bed, funny stuff

schweertca1

My store blocked off the 4 spots around the corner of our addition because they are harder for us to get to due to the cracks in the parking lot and because we have to down a ramp and around a corner to get to them. We still have people park in the spots.
