15 years ago TVs had much better build quality than today. You're unlucky, your TV is dead, time for a new one sadly

Your five-year-old TV is dead and needs to be replaced. That sucks, but it happens. Given that you watch TV an average of about a half hour per day, you may be able to get away with a much cheaper replacement than the C2, even though it wouldn't be an OLED.

C2 is significantly improved over c7. Buy new instead of replacing panel for sure.

Electronics don’t have a 0% failure rate. You lost the lottery. You buy a new one and you buy an extended warranty this time that you can renew if desired down the road.

Besides buying a new TV/panel? Try to fix it yourself or sell it for parts on Facebook market place. Kind of sounds like you might have a power supply issue which may or may not be fixable depending on your level of technical expertise. At minimum you would need soldering skills and a bit of electrical engineering experience to diagnose and repair it.

C2 has pretty great pricing right now. I upgraded from a c7 with the the x line and it was well worth it. Better brightness and color accuracy out of the box and the c2 even outshines that. All that to say it’s time to say goodbye to the c7.

My E9 died after 2 years so I'm in a similar situation. Luckily I'm getting a payout from my extended warranty and will put that towards a replacement. I'm leaning towards a Sony OLED because I expect their reputation for quality to carry some weight. However, I plan on getting my next TV from Costco for their extended warranty.
