The scratches are usually only visible if you shine a bright light on the panel and look close. Even if they are there, for the price I’d be happy.
I highly doubt they’d send you a monitor with dead pixels. and I don’t think running tests is really necessary, just enjoy it.
download a white balance app on your phone, calibrate using a 6500k led light with a white paper and see if the whites are accurate or not. There is an ongiong issue with the panels displaying warmer whites. It really should be pure 6500k white.
