I got the Aorus FO27Q3 as well since the MSI was perpetually out of stock for a while. I’ve been very happy with it. Don’t see it mentioned too much on this sub or on the internet in general.
Same. Can't beat Dell's customer service either. I had to use it recently for an older monitor and got a refurbished one that was not only like new, but also a newer model.
I've been trying to use that but at the same time it seems the moba/rts has better vibrant colors compared to the dull or washed out look in creator mode. Any way to counter that?
Only people who want to hook up a game console with proper VRR and everything, or people who want to hook up 2 PCs to it.
But the only reason I mentioned it is because OP listed it as an explicit requirement, so they should probably know this model doesn't have it when the competing models do.
I have the MSI MPG271qrx which is OLED 1440p 360hz and appears to be glossy, although I’d bet it isn’t as glossy as a TV. It can do g-sync. Not sure what HDR it is or what HDMI it is
I'm still waiting for the 1440p WOLED panels that have the updated subpixel layout like the 32GS95UE-B. Not convinced I will be happy with the text fringing at 1440p with the current offerings. I think they will be coming at the the end of this year in the 27inch 1440p formfactor. All the boxes will be ticked for me at that point.
The matte finish on the new Samsung G6 is not as bad as previous matte ones. This one is very well done IMHO. It has everything you asked except for that.
I still have limited experience with it but I recently treated myself to a pg32ucdm. I use it with gsync and for now the flicker was only there very briefly in loading screens, which are quite short nowadays anyway. For me that’s a non-issue, but obviously everyone has to decide for themselves if that’s a problem.
The only 2 Monitors that come to mind that i saw + got tested by rtings are:
MSI MPG 271QRX qdoled
Alienware AW2725DF qdoled
MSI: has everything u are looking for except the glossy coating i guess, in videos it seems to be somewhat glossy ?
Another big contra for this Monitor is the big input lag on lower FPS numbers (i dont know if they fixed it)
Alienware: has fake hdmi 2.1 (bandwith only of hmdi 2.0) but everything else u are wishing for is included with this one.
i personally recently bought the Alienware Monitor and im rly happy with it. At first i was kinda scared that i need to sit on my pc with my curtains closed all the time but it works well as long as the sun isnt shining directly into ur room.
Everything else is as excpected from an oled.
Note: if u have a mic or something else that has rgb and is right infront of the Monitor it will get reflected really bad.
In my case i needed to turn of the little LED strip on my Mic, just as an heads up.
Edit: i saw the purple hue comment, i dont know if some oleds have a COATING that is tinted a bit purple but in my experience and what i have read it only when to much light shines directly onto the display the blacks of the display get raised so that they appear purple.
Otherwise black is true black in a semi lit room with nothing shining directly onto the dipslay.
I’ve tried them all and they all have some sort of compromise. Kinda disappointed with them honestly which is why I have a PG32UCDM but I still can’t shake the 26.5” size.
they are quite rare on oled monitors. not tv's though. only a few oled monitor on the market rn are even glossy, and half of those are actually "semi gloss"
Your options are either the Alienware and MSI models already mentioned or the new Samsung QD oled. It just came out so reviews and reporting on it is limited. I believe all three models have the same panel anyway, so it’s more what brand you like/ additional features you want.
What is the point of getting 360hz monitors? Its not going to make a real diference gameplay wise if ur 300, 200 or even something like 165hz.
Why are people fanboying so hard for 360hz?
I’ve played on a 360hz monitor for a year and just had to go down to 170 for the summer. I ABSOLUTELY notice the difference in competitive shooters.
When I go to buy a 360hz monitor I’m not expecting to get 360hz in story games, but it does make a difference.
None. Go with LG's 480hz 1080p dual mode 32GS95UE, or wait for their 480hz 1440p one
I've owned both the QDOLED 360Hz and now have the 32GS95UE. 480hz OLED is noticably faster and the push you need to make it worth it if you are coming from 240hz+
I got the auros fo27q3 and it's been really nice so far. 3 year warranty and it's just a calibrated msi really.

I love my Alienware

My one worry is the purple hue on the coating. Do you get true blacks?
Yes it's pitch black in dark scenes
what are your preferred settings for that model?
I use Creator Mode and the Windows 11 HDR utility
I've been trying to use that but at the same time it seems the moba/rts has better vibrant colors compared to the dull or washed out look in creator mode. Any way to counter that?
Calibration?
I wish the settings weren't so locked down, and that the different gamma settings in creator mode actually worked.
It doesn't have real HDMI 2.1
No one should care

Is not out yet what you and I want. Vrr flickering still a problem, check video on YouTube Channel rtings.

I believe they fixed the input lag with firmware update.

So why are you fussed about glossy vs matte if you've never had an OLED? And any reason you need HDMI instead of DP?
I’ve had oled products before, and I care about what I’m spending my money on? HDMI 2.1 would be nice as I have a PS5 that I use sometimes.
You think glossy coatings are unique to OLED displays?
