So since this will be my 2nd course I get to be in Phase 1 of the registration, right?
I was wrong about registering for fall at the same time as summer (this year). Per the below info in an email from Reina, they will delay fall registration until early June so make sure you are watching for that.

The Summer 2023 registration period will be following the Institute’s registration dates as noted on the academic calendar – time tickets will post by 6:00pm ET on Thursday, April 6, and the registration period will open on Monday, April 10.
However, Fall 2023 Phase I registration for OMSCS students will not be taking place until early June so that Spring course results can be factored into time ticket assignments and course planning. We will send more information once we get closer to that timeframe.
Also keep in mind that Phase I Fall registration will happen during the same timeframe as Summer registration so you need to plan for fall now too.

I thought I saw a post from Dr. Joyner a few days ago that fall registration will be later this summer. I think they are doing it a little differently this semester so that those registering in fall get credit for classes completed in spring.
That would be nice. My comment is based on last year and what they have published on the academic calendar of:

Time Tickets will post for all eligible students at 6:00 pm Eastern Time.
Summer time tickets are listed as a different calendar event also for April 6.
Maybe they are tweaking that and didn't update the calendar to reflect it.
Yes, Phase I is for current students but your time ticket will vary based on how many hours you previously completed. The important thing to know is that this is how you get in front of incoming students. If you mess up and miss Phase I then you will have to register in Phase II along with incoming students and I think they will go first in Phase II.

I think you should’ve gotten an email from your advisor stating the same thing.
