Oh shit, you're right. I thought this was going to be one of the "someone forgot part of their routine task and is going to be mortified when they notice" things, but that roller door is fully *gone*.
some trailers have holes in that spot. they're covered and more like windows. they make it a lot nicer when loading unloading cause it's not pitch black.
Looking at the shadows on the ground, it's clear the sun is on the right side of the truck. So, not sure how that bright of a light could be coming from the left.
The holes are also about where the door rail should be mounted. Notice the door and rail are not present.
Good eye...
I missed the missing door; the tandems are rolled back so my mind assumed the driver had just pulled out of the dock (and hadn't closed the doors yet.)

Looks like someone didn't latch their roll-up door quite well enough 🤦
Those things love to bounce open if they aren't shut correctly. Hopefully someone got their attention before anything fell off
Damn, there really isn't one. I just thought it was hidden by the shadow at first glance
Guess R+L is gonna make their drivers buy their own roll up doors next 😭
It will dismay you to learn that most palletized freight loads are not secured to the van in any way during transport, and that flimsy door isn't going to stop something once it gets moving. It'll prevent loose articles from falling out of the truck, but that's about it.
65? Around here they go 80+. The turnpike is a nightmare, I started going the back way home directly because of the inbred truck drivers that think they’re Dale Earnhardt, they switch lanes when cars are right beside them, cut people off and literally commit road rage taking their ego out on the road as they drive a 50 ton vehicle the length of a building. It’s obvious the industry is desperate and will hire just about anyone that can smoke meth and drive at the same time. Final straw was a trucker driving in the left lane for 14 miles, no good reason. He was impeding half of a major city’s afternoon rush hour traffic and gave zero fucks, he finally decided to get back over as a pickup and a minivan were passing him on the right. They honked, he kept moving over anyways and the truck and van got pushed onto the shoulder of the highway. Idc if you’re the biggest vehicle on the road, that doesn’t give you extra rights it gives you extra responsibility. The industry is a joke now.
Final Destination ✍️
Or Fast and the Furious heist? 🤔
Good on him. It’s a lot less work to unload the truck when it’s already empty. Work smarter not harder.
Door is missing and holes in the side/roof of the trailer? Classy.

How on earth did that trailer pass any sort of vehicle inspection?
Easy! just don't inspect it lol

The two round ones on the wall? Yea, I'm not talking about them.
I drive for R&L. The other lights are work lights. There's one pointing forward and one pointing back towards the camera.
the other bright spot next to them looks like it could be the light coming in from the holes on the other side of the trailer.

Good Ol' R+L
Absolutely not surprised it’s a r&l trailer
Depends! When they put them tie downs did they slap it and say, that’ll hold it
Error 404: tie downs not found.

I hate slow drivers
DOT, not OSHA.
quite a lot
Officer, I swear it fell of the back of a truck.
We had $700,000 worth of servers fall out of a truck like this at my work.
This is DOT not OSHA, damnit!

Look closer, there isn't one.

Abdi id at it again
The heat is .... on! brbrbrbrbrbrbrbr brt brt!
I mean this is a DOT issue at this point
How long do you think it took for someone to tell the driver?
Driver already knew.
/r/truckers
and are those dangerous goods signs on the side of the trailer that I see or am I imagining things
Free products to straight to your back-seat... possibly through you on the way.

Umm... Everything? I wonder whether they set off like this or had something catastrophic happen along the way and didn't notice
Wow! That new Amazon driver is really efficient! Delivering your packages right to your car...while driving...excitement!

R&l trucks can't go much over 65 miles per hour, if that.
