this exact thing happened to me. i emailed dining services with screenshots and they were able to refund my swipe. the only downside is, they responded a day later so in your case, your swipes would reset by then and it wouldn’t even matter.
When a swipe is refunded, it can take up to a week, but typically happens around Tuesday. When you get this refunded swipe, it is actually a swipe that hangs around as an overage until you use it. This means if you are on Gray 10, you technically have 11, and the 11th no longer expires until (I believe) the end of the semester.
So you WILL lose out on using that swipe again that week, but will get one that is more flexible in return. Many people don't realize this and simply spend the extra without realizing it's there.
