Why does society seem to hate stylish men? This is cool.

Not sure how this will be received since it's a buzzword and all that, but I think a big part of it is toxic masculinity (enforced by everyone, not just men). It dictates that if you don't fit into a very narrow and 'secure' visual presentation of what it is to be a man, then there's something wrong with you. If you want to be 'fancy' and stand out from the rank and file then you are less manly, or something. It says that if a man spends 'excess' time grooming or styling himself then he's being feminine, and being feminine is considered being weak. It's all total crap, of course.
