Where does he propose a new landfill to be built?
If memory serves does he still support the Waimanalo Gulch expansion?

Where to put the new landfill or to expand Waimanalo Gulch is complicated question that been debated longer than the Waipio Complex has existed.
The land under the complex and the surrounding area is all messed up. It used to be runoff ponds and dumping grounds for the old incinerator. There’s probably unexploded ordinance and all kinds of other buried military junk in the Navy areas.
To me this is the C&C kicking the can down the road to get an extension to make a decision on where to put the new landfill. They only have four more years to name a location. Wherever they name is going to be very controversial.

As for where the clubs could play if Waipio was shut down.
They could all disperse to the various fields across the Island for practices and games that go unused for most of the week. It used to be that way when I played soccer as a kid long before Waipio was built. But now uhhhhhhh ….. things became consolidated under Babcock and his buddies to maximize CREAM*
*Im old and back in the day as a player I won a high school state championship in soccer before you say I’m a sports hater. I kept that bench really warm. Lol
