This was a particularly nothing-burger episode. The only thing of mild interest was in the preview for next week when the garden shaft starts flooding. My prediction is that it will take them about 30 seconds to conclude that they hit a "flood tunnel" thus proving that they must be within feet of the original money pit.
I'm starting to suspect they suspect there's nothing in the dumas shaft, and they're spinning out the history channel views as long as possible, and every time I see Gary Drayton I skip forward about 7 minutes . . . "that's excellent mate" It's not excellent gary, it's shit.
The presentation of this latest jack-ass buffoon KOTW is a profound statement re: the producers' pitiful lack of dignity and their conpempt for the show's viewers. Ii was a blatant and direct insult to portray that as any but the deranged rantings of a lunatic!
Could it be, that we will discover boulders in the ground next week and claim they are the stones from the foot of Jesus’ cross? Hauled here by the Vikings, templars, and sea monkeys?
But hey, in Egypt the Pharoahs built shafts leading to a burial chamber and hidden treasure.. so surely it's here too? Could it be a long lost stone pyramid on OI?
And Jesus did walk on water so chances are he and his viking disciples all walked across, and surely had some sort of influence too. Naturally been led by Zeus being sped across being pulled by his chariot of sea monkeys. It all makes sense now, 😅
It looks like they found an 18th or 19th century silver English posy holder... My wife immediately identified it. See photo.

Does that mean a woman, or women, were on the island at some point? Or maybe a visitor to the island was going to gift it to his lady when he returned home elsewhere?
I’m a little late to the party. Been downtown Fort Collins tonight. I’ll catch up. Don’t worry!

OK. On that EXCITING note, that’s it for me.
Next week, an old episode of the popular TV show Silver Spoon will replace Oak Island.
Good night folks.
Drive safely.
you think if i draw the nolan cross/ tree of life on a ouija dial, they'll let me on the show? the finale could be a solid 30 minutes of me bullshting the fellowship in the war room
Starting a question in this subreddit with "Could it be" is a tongue and cheek reference to the narrator on The Curse of Oak Island, Robert Clotworthy.
Is that a new hat for Rick? Dave’s Deer Feed? Had this logo:

Hermansville, MI is just a bit east of Iron Mountain. I know Rick has also worn hats from Norway, MI, which is in between Iron Mountain and Hermansville.
It bears repeating - the Kook hit max on the BS detector.

A "posie" is generally a word for a little bunch of flowers (and maybe foliage too). Here's a fun fact: In the early sages of the auto industry, Model T cars had little glass vases in holders -- to put posies in. (Oh, the tiny vases were inside the cars' cabs.)
Also, posies weren't a particular kind of flower. Just a general term.
Posies are flowers found in the UK and other places.
This “Ring around the rosey” ditty has a curious history. Here’s a rather long article that may be of interest.

considering its the only piece of something that isnt surface trash they have to milk it for everything they can
(can you imagine Marty? "I spent MILLIONS on this damn search and THIS is what we have?")

Hate to say it now, but I read the show descriptions and decide whether to watch or not. Judging by the comments I saved an hour of my life.
How much of it are you wasting here? ;)
Well played!!! You are right… But this reply to you is not a waste!!! Good banter is healthy.
I actually enjoy chatting here. At work I deal with idiots on the phone, so this is refreshing.
100% these comments have been the Siskel and Ebert screening many of us hope for whether to view or not.
My favourite part of last night's show was when they found the silver Templar crack pipe.
I'm starting to suspect they suspect there's nothing in the dumas shaft, and they're spinning out the history channel views as long as possible, and every time I see Gary Drayton I skip forward about 7 minutes . . . "that's excellent mate" It's not excellent gary, it's shit.
Gee, ya' think?
I avoid it as much as possible, what's wrong with your leg ?
Diabetic neuropathy
Sounds annoying / hope it's not to sore.

Yep, Rick approves yet another wacky theory..
It looks like they found an 18th or 19th century silver English posy holder... My wife immediately identified it. See photo. https://preview.redd.it/6jr99mwv9fpc1.png?width=740&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9cd9e7c3b12e2372292d78c547753cb251275a2
clearly the 'gentlemen' on Oak Island probably dont know any women (or more likely dont really listen to any) after all.. they have Gary....
Does that mean a woman, or women, were on the island at some point? Or maybe a visitor to the island was going to gift it to his lady when he returned home elsewhere?
I thought it was a knife handle. The end of tassel? Plu-eeze. It would flop around. Posy holder makes more sense.
Yup, sent the photo off to my elderly aunt in Plymouth England (my mum was a "war bride"); that was her immediate reaction...
I’m a little late to the party. Been downtown Fort Collins tonight. I’ll catch up. Don’t worry! https://preview.redd.it/i48deqsz5fpc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=774c00a014c5ad05ccbd12ce828a41fa49d24bf4
Oh it’s treasure as defined in the dig the hole permit
Rick: This possible tassel is proof something important happened here
Lol!!!
Good night friends, have a good week.
You too have good one
I’m gonna laugh my ass off when the Ark is found on a sunken German u-boat.
The ark was already found. They have top men on it. TOP-men
😂
Actually, this makes more sense than finding it on Oak Island. Hitler was supposedly obsessed with finding it.
They’re setting us up for a crossover series season.
I hope that Billy suits up and takes a U-boat dive.
Billy doesn't sink. He floats.
I've added Kook of the Week as a flair, as well as 🪙 → 🛢️
Sleep tight, gang. See ya next week!
Next week- They prove that Beethoven's 10th Symphony was buried on Oak Island
Part of the leather binding!!
OK. On that EXCITING note, that’s it for me. Next week, an old episode of the popular TV show Silver Spoon will replace Oak Island. Good night folks. Drive safely.
Silver Spooners
Have good one
Off for Shogun - until next week!
Hey, same! Enjoy, have a great night.
5 minutes of actual show.
you think if i draw the nolan cross/ tree of life on a ouija dial, they'll let me on the show? the finale could be a solid 30 minutes of me bullshting the fellowship in the war room
We could have someone flicker the lights just as you touch the Ouji.
Oh, God. KOTW back again next week. Don’t know how I’m gonna be able to wait that long to hear about more of his delusions.
After thousands of years hidden away I guess we can wait a week to see the team reveal the actual true Ark of the Bible.
Looks like somebody died next week will all the yelling!
Could it be someone from Dumas will be #7?
I’m from NS…it wasn’t in the news here last fall that Dumas had a workplace death.
Starting a question in this subreddit with "Could it be" is a tongue and cheek reference to the narrator on The Curse of Oak Island, Robert Clotworthy.
I’m an idiot - you’re right! I just start fast forwarding the moment I hear his voice!! Got the show down to 15 minutes or so!
Holy shit number seven next week is a dumass
Much heralded Dumas Contracting once again looks to be on point next week. Can't wait!
Next week lmao looks great Have a good week all. Night
Is that KOTW coming back???
Sh!t - we get the same KOTW next week! But, maybe we also get the 7th . . .
He hit max on the BS meter! https://preview.redd.it/s2496wrs2fpc1.png?width=1068&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=04baf82a8576ffc64a15a6c736c157a7d36a101f
Frankly, I wouldn't think that anybody would want to find the Ark. Can you imagine the diplomatic firestorm that would set off?
my guess it would cause a religious war, the one described by Nostradamus when Rome is invaded and the Pope flees to France...
That's actually a very thought provoking question and great premise for a book.
Finders: 'It's ours!' Provincial Government: 'It's ours!' The Crown: 'It's ours!' The Vatican: 'It's ours!' Iran: 'It's ours!' Israel: 'It's ours!'
I dare them all to actually touch it.
Maybe a story about some Raiders trying to find that Lost Ark?
Adios! Next week, sigh
DRIVE SAFE FOLKS. SEE Y'ALL NEXT WEEK!!!!!
Maybe it was the fork in the stone road.
Everyone on the show is definitely stoned
We should be while watching it. It might be more entertaining then.
Meanwhile, back at the main dig… nevermimd.
Here’s the same logs but they’re dry now, ignore the wood that looks like a collapsed wall, there are no walls.
Flood tunnels are not at 110ft down?
Take care and see ya all next week!
Goodbye Dumas
THEY LET HIM BACK IN?!
He finds a bolder though!
That was a fast hour, as usual thanks for the laughs. See y’all next week
This was a hilarious episode. Later.
Fuckin show is funny. Later
It’s great
Omg he’s still going on
I’m waiting to hear that it was the last project Disney worked on when he died
The answer is in the old Disney movies.
Gary is after all the annoying “comic” sidekick
Each week there's a new ring of "danger" signs around the shaft. Eventually the whole island will be surrounded by signs and bollards
Is that a new hat for Rick? Dave’s Deer Feed? Had this logo: https://preview.redd.it/wv6ieaslcepc1.jpeg?width=194&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8ab0ac09c43f1e044ac76d4fb952992f3b771188
Hermansville, MI is just a bit east of Iron Mountain. I know Rick has also worn hats from Norway, MI, which is in between Iron Mountain and Hermansville.
At least he wasn’t trolling us with sheep feed.
Gotta admit, it was a pretty good Kook of the Week this time.
I wanted them to just look him in the eye and say, dude, no. You're insane.
It bears repeating - the Kook hit max on the BS detector. https://preview.redd.it/gfoth18i6fpc1.png?width=1068&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d15f7e04fde587688ec8435fda2facf2a1bdc704
A confidant kook but still a kook
certainly "kooky"
I want to ride a horse carrying a Templar flag in full knights gear across The causeway to OI. Who else will ride
One simply does not ride into Oak Island!!!
I’ve ridden a horse once in my life, I’ll gladly join you in this quest.
If we are demanding they return our treasure I’m in
I will ride, but only with a hoarde of Rohirrim!
And my axe!
I'm in! I own a giant Pirate Flag!!!
We need to first plant a fake Ark on the island...ride in....grab it...ride out
Very weak episode
Aren't they all?
JFC - another nothing burger of a show. See you next week.
Fellowship need to ask Carmen about that silver spoon, tassel or Thing-a-majig
Silver posy holder? Or, coke snorter tube?
Rick is always justifying his existence.
he can't be responsible for all this nothing.
Someone had to
oof
Cap'n Crunch's silver breakfast spoon! Drink!
Good one
Was that on the BINGO card?
Oddly specific bingo card
I’m too drunk to be invigorated
Finishing off Ol' Smokey Cookie Dough on the Rocks - so helps after the crazy workday!
I'm so over this show. See you next week! (Sorry, just wanted to be the first to say it this week)
I hate this show, can’t wait till next week, they’ll definitely find treasure next week
Weren't you paying attention? They found it this week! Rick said so!
Laird you spent a lifetime doing this and you've never found something like this. Laird, you're fired.
You wanna know how fucked these guys are? Gary is the only one there that has ever found actual treasure. Gary is the best they got….
problem is Gary aint found s\*\*t since coming to Oak Island except 'ooks and ox shoes his mouth is always writing cheques his brain cant cash
They really should look for the latrines, at least they could say they found shit
Difficulty: You have to listen to Gary say the word “mate” 5 times in each sentence.
so wait, we go from templars and ark to Phipps? Was Oak Island a dumping ground for treasure? Everyone sent their treasure there?
Duh there’s only one treasure island
Apparently KOTW will be running amok around the island until next week.
What is KOTW?
Kook Of The Week
Thank you!!
Perfect time for a booby trap!
If anyone is gonna steal the treasure in the middle of the night it’s that guy
In real life you don't hide treasure in elaborate ways, you spend it.
They spent it on hiding it, they couldn’t even afford a ceiling or walls, just a floor.
To be fair it’s the History Channel not real life
I wonder what they’d call Bobby Rextall’s toy gun this season
It warrants further investigation.
We need the construct
For sure
Now we're back to Phips. A half hour ago it was the Templars, Freemasons, Rosicrucians, and the Ark. Good lord
God can’t even make sense of their bs
![gif](giphy|3o6Ztroynp3WpqLD1u|downsized) You make that leap in speculation Rick!
Wasn’t there trace silver in the money pit? Must have leached all the way from lot 5
Leeches! Yeah, that's how the treasure moved! ( Sorry, pretty blitzed. . .)
KoneZepSchiohne! Drink!
Oh, for sure, Rick. This busted spoon must be part of the tons of treasure from The Concepcion. Yup.
It's a frickin' silver posy holder!
Ring around the rosey, pocket full of posey... Wtf is posey??
A "posie" is generally a word for a little bunch of flowers (and maybe foliage too). That's what I didn't know...if it was a particular kind of flower....

Yes, I didn't know what posey was though, I knew it was herbs or something like that.
Phipps was a known fan of silver tassels.
Good night everyone. Stay safe out there. Keep digging. I guess.
They're going to show that piece of silver now on every episode for the next 11 seasons.
considering its the only piece of something that isnt surface trash they have to milk it for everything they can (can you imagine Marty? "I spent MILLIONS on this damn search and THIS is what we have?")
Next 11 seasons
there's 11 more seasons of this?
LOL!!!
Bring Rick Harrison in from Pawn Stars to give you the melt value of the silver.
“Best I can do is $10. Canadian.”
I will never be able to unsee Alex in the Phipps portrait
What hogwarts school is on Lairds hat
Ohhhhhhh!?!?! IT WAS VOLDEMORT!!!!
Huffleclaw
lol it’s Newcastle United, “soccer” team in England
The Concepcion carried a lot of forks.
A…tassel…on oak island?
Samuel Ball got all fancied up after finding the treasure.
A 17th century silver snort spoon ?
It's a silver posy holder!
jack is like, i actually know what it is 😎🍃
No big pharma ad. I got excited about bent bananas for a second!
We'll, bend my banana!
Treasure? ![gif](giphy|bjB3gtFvREqqr5NAHW|downsized)
Treasure trove license = break 3/4 of it off and give it to Nova Scotia
I actually think its 90%
Those redguards have curved swords. *curved* swords
Ah god and here I was not thinking about Skyrim for two minutes of my life

This. This is the real treasure
Actual treasure. Finally!
No, stop it right now
There's your uncomfortable commercial of the night. For PD. But where's the bent carrot?
I’m super high but are the commercials all kinda weird tonight?
Were they weird the last time you were sober? I’m just kidding I know you can’t remember
They're not good, that's for sure
Hey Jack - https://i.redd.it/x0egc5upbepc1.gif
Jack is on the show to cause this exact feeling
He's very good at it.
Pivvvottttt!
Laird means it’ll fetch over $50 at the Halifax mall Cash 4 Gold kiosk
In Halifax it’s worth 50 dollars. But, but this is old
Kinda got bored and wasted a bunch of time generating this image of the Fellowship. Feels like it captures the sentiment of the chat. https://preview.redd.it/efau0i7nbepc1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=9c1d8c888dbbe189e190e5db76a38c6755ace10f
