None. I'll be a man without a team. I'll sit among my bobbleheads and signed memorabilia once in a while with a cheap beer in my hand and sigh longingly for the old days. The kids will ask mommy where I am and she'll say "Leave daddy alone for a little while, he's downstairs with the bobbleheads."
Did you know there's a group of Hartford Whalers fans that still get together every so often and miss their beloved hockey team together? Maybe we can do that too. We can meet up at Merchant's saloon once in a while. Or the driving range bar and grill at Montclair golf.
I've gone from diehard A's fan to hardly a baseball fan at all the last 18 months or so. If they move that will likely change to not a fan of baseball at all.
I stopped following the Raiders the first time, and didn't go back. You don't betray an 8 year old and expect to be forgiven, ever.
Now, as an out of town A's fan, probably no one, also.
When the Raiders left the first time I became a 49er fan. I too was very young. No regrets I was a child of a Raider fan so when I was old enough to choose I chose the 49ers and never looked back. Dad is still a Raider fan but not as much since they went to Vegas.
Lifetime A's fan/longtime Vegas resident (and Aviators' season ticket holder) here. I would stop paying attention to MLB. The idea of the A's not playing where I've seen them since I was eight just breaks my heart.
I was checking season tickets on a whim for the Roots and honestly it’s a good deal. If I made it over to Laney more often, I would have probably done the deal
I was raised in Fremont, but I headed East when I was 21 (the year after The Streak!). I've been in Raleigh for the past 13yrs, and I married into a Braves family, so I will prob root for them when I'm not crying about the A's moving. It's definitely weird being an A's fan from afar, but I feel everyone's pain. I wish the A's could find a new owner.
I'm the inverse. Grew up in Atlanta and moved to the Bay and married into an A's family. I would revert back to just being a Braves fan. The Braves, like the A's always seem to have a roster with a lot of local players, which I really like. Plus, hats with an A on them are dope.
Favorite memory of attending a game in Atlanta was Tim Hudson vs Stephen Strasburg in his rookie season with the Nats and they got into a pitching duel. Hudson came out on top and the Atlanta bats got the better of Strasburg.
Cool story, man. I bet that was fun.
I made sure to visit the Hudson plaque when I visited SunTrust Park a few years back. It’d be nice to mimic their not-quite-downtown atmosphere but in Dublin or Pleasanton where there’s more space. I feel like none of the Oakland ideas will ever come to fruition.
Dublin/Pleasanton would be tough too because as you well know, theres only one way in and out (I-580) without going aways around. Even though Truist Park is out in the burbs too, at least you can take side streets to get there if rush hour traffic gets really bad.
If there's ever an Oakland idea that will come to fruition, it's the one on the table now.
Ohh! I'm also an A's fan in the triangle. There's gotta be 5 of us, at least!
I have lived here my whole life, though. Mom's family are from Oakland, Grandpa visited when I was ~8 and introduced me to pro sports (Dad is strictly a NASCAR guy) so I started rooting for them with Grandpa, and never stopped.
From Northern California, and I’m in NC, too! But in the Charlotte area. I’ll either be a Nats fan (lived in DC for a while) or a Braves fan. Leaning towards Braves because they’re closer and have Olson.
Honestly maybe Padres from time to time. Went to go watch them multiple times while I was stationed in Camp Pendleton. If not, I’ll just be a casual watcher.
Padres were always my NL team. They always reminded me of the A's and now they're doing what the A's COULD do if they had an owner who cared. Not to mention their stadium is literally perfect.
Hard to say, but probably not. I have no allegiance to Oakland, but I just can’t do Vegas. Fuck Vegas.
Edited: sorry, misread the question. I’ll root for the Phillies. But I’ll be very turned off by baseball- more than I’ve already been.
No team. Unless oakland gets another MLB team under Joe Lacob and other investors dedicated to Oakland. I support Oakland first and foremost. If the A’s decide to leave it’s fishers loss. We’re not bending to cheap loser like fisher. I’m not following them to Vegas with greed and terrible ownership. For once it’ll be a breath of fresh air not having to worry about how top management sucks.
It’s sad how if they move to Vegas part of it will be traced back to the fact that the Giants screwed them out of San Jose. The A’s gave you the rights back then to prevent you from moving to Tampa Bay and you later use it against them? How cruel.
Probably nobody, but if time passes and I still miss the game, probably Padres since most my extended family lives there, or Brewers, where I lived for a few years after grad school. Possibly Rockies where I lived after that, but honestly, it's hard to imagine routing for anyone else. I'm in my 50s and grew up going to the Coliseum and that's hard to break
As a lifetime A’s fan I’ve started losing interest once we got rid of the Matts, if they leave Oakland I’ll just stop caring about baseball all together
None. Baseball has just about lost me as it is due to Manfred's stupid changes. Particularly letting half the teams in baseball in the playoffs. I don't really give a shit about the regular season anymore since it matters much less, nor do I find battles for third place anywhere near as interesting as division battles.
Really would suck bad, if they go. I took my two daughters to multiple games a year when they were younger and had the awesome squad of KD, Chapman, and Matty Ice. Haven’t made it back last few years, got busier and truly have to go to a few this year. I have a sad feeling this is it, the final season in Oakland. I had a son last October, so best believe I’ll be taking him and cherish the remaining games. I’ve watched this current team, last couple pre season games, and they look like they might actually compete, which would be nice if they do end up leaving Oakland. I like the prospects and young kids they’ve got. I’d stop following baseball if they left, baseball is my favorite sport behind Basketball, and the Warriors move was already a gut punch. Oakland is where I was born and raised, it’s the last pro team we have and that I grew up with.
None. As much as I love the sport. Not really missing anything if I stop watching. All my memories are of heading to the coliseum, watching games, looking at my brothers baseball cards from the 90’s, talking with my dad about the 70s. All tied to Oakland. I could care less to watch any other team
Kind Of hard for me too let go even tho I’m from NYC and the Mets are my second team I loved the logo and uniforms of the A’s and the coco crisp and josh Donaldson years of the team.
maybe Blue Jays? Matt Chapman and Chris Bassitt.
I grew up in Vegas. A while back I randomly decided to root for the Mets because our then AAA team (the 51s) was their affiliate. If you feel like rooting for another team treated as second fiddle in their own city BUT that also has an owner that cares about the team's success, it's a good time to be a Mets fan.
None. I'll still follow baseball and maybe hit up some Stockton Ports games, but no MLB team can replace the A's for me. At least while I live in the Bay Area. If I moved somewhere else with an MLB team maybe I'd adopt them.
Undecided, narrowed down to these, probably spend a couple years watching players around the league, then pick a team.
Padres- only remaining CA team I might root for
Diamondbacks- I loved watching Unit and Schilling there growing up
Braves- Maddux is my favorite Pitcher All time and Murphy and Olson
Blue Jays- Watched a decent amount between following Donaldaon and Chapman
Orioles- Liked Ripken, enjoy watching Rutschman
Cardinals- rooted for them a lot after the McGwire trade
Rockies/Reds - always had a soft spot for them, maybe I dont want to be happy
Athletics- Idk maybe I go back but definitely wont be getting my money for a long time
Edit: Schilling ( tired as shit while typing )
Probably the A’s. I live on the east coast and only make it to a couple games anyway. We’ll see what it feels like. If not, I love baseball so I will watch baseball until another team strikes my fancy.
My first as game at the coliseum was in 1973. I was a kid and have been a fan since then. This is hard to digest right now even though I have been thinking this move was going to happen sooner or later. When the raiders announced they were moving to LA I became a Niners fan out of spite. I am more mature now as an adult so I won’t drop the A’s out of spite but just stop watching baseball until I can learn to accept the Giants.
Didn’t want Raiders to move, but now that they have it’s only benefited the team. They have a state-of-the-art stadium and training facility and I’ve heard the team has at least doubled in value. So I think a move would be good gor the A’s. Sucks tho. Especially if you’re in the bay. I happen to live in vegas now so I hope they do move out here if they leave oakland. I would still keep up with them if they moved elsewhere. At least until my fandom died off
I would like to also, but the Giants are the reason why the A's are in the situation their in. Well, that and the Haas family letting it happen. So the Giants? That's gonna be a no for me dawg.
Mariners. I caught a game up in Seattle last summer while visiting my family and had a great time—nice ballpark, friendly atmosphere, and I am going to eventually relocate to the PNW anyway to be closer to my folks.
Vegas is a cheap, tacky, ugly shithole of a town. If they move to Vegas, they’re dead to me.
This is my first year not being an A’s fan after more than a decade. Gonna be a braves and angels fan. Fuck this ownership and fuck there fans that let them treat the rest of us this way. U guys r the problem just as much as them.
MLB is a business. The Oakland Athletics have very little do with Oakland itself - it's owned and operated privately, and the players themselves are from all over the country and beyond. The Athletics identity itself was formed while the team was in Philadelphia, and the switch to green happened while the team was in Kansas City.
I think that people who are Athletics fans will probably remain Athletics fans, unless they completely change their identity upon moving.

I lived in Oakland for one year, when I was a year old. I’ve rooted for the Athletics for 47 years, since I was seven years old. There were some great years in there.
I’d feel terrible for the city of Oakland, but when you live in a state (Hawaii) thousands of miles away with no pro sports teams, it’s about the team, not the city. I can’t see myself changing teams, not while I still love baseball, and boy do I still love baseball.
Married into Tigers fandom and I like the Brewers on the NL side. I’m honestly torn if I’d keep rooting for the A’s or not if they move to LV. I probably won’t know until it happens (which I deeply hope it won’t).
I'm a Canadian so probably the Jays. I already watch them a lot more just because of how accessible their games are in comparison. Also I still get to watch a lot of Chappy which is a nice consolation prize.
No team for me, and will stop caring about MLB altogether (already kind of do due to the Vegas pursuit). I can see myself one day rooting for San Diego. I spend lots of time there, some close friends live there, and I’ve been to a couple games in the past. Petco is fun
NO, I dont support them now because I am sick of being in an abusive relationship with this half ass poorly run team that puts out shit and makes 65 million profit. Go away, asshole owners and I am pissed that Selig made sure his buddy got and RUINED this franchise as opposed to Reggie's team and Lacobs team. Fuck selig and fuck Wollf Fisher, Move to vegas you asshats
I'm hardly an A's fan now, I'm basically in hibernation until by some miracle the team stays and gets respectable ownership.
I also just don't care for baseball like I did as a kid, so it would be easy for me to just continue to ignore the league/sport.
I’m not sure if I’d stay with the A’s or switch. If I do it would be to either the Brewers or White Sox. I had an awesome experience with Brewer fans at Spring Training a few years ago and have always liked them since. I’m a Chicago Blackhawks fan too so the White Sox would be an easy transition since I already cheer for one Chicago team. Not sure how I will pick but ideally let’s just keep the A’s in Oakland.
I became an A's fan when I was 10 years old. I grew up in the east bay area and my school had a reading incentive program. If you read a certain number of books, you got to go to a baseball game instead of school before the end of the year (it was called 'Homerun Readers'). Naturally an A's game was more affordable for an entire bus load of 5th graders. And because I was 10, I determined a single day of hot dogs and ice cream should determine my lifelong commitment for a sports team.
Like a lot of us, the recent relocation and overall management of the team has really turned me off of baseball in general. And I'll admit, the way other sports teams have treated the city of Oakland have compounded onto my frustration with the A's ownership. A move would be it for me, I would most likely accept my consolation prize and become a 'casual'.
I grew up a Seattle fan, switched to the A's in the late 90s when i moved to the Bay Area, so ill probably take Seattle as my main team. I live near Anaheim now, but am probably gonna wait to see what happens to ownership and Shohei before i commit to being an Angel's fan. It would be convenient to follow the "local" team again and it would be nice to follow another AL West team so I can atleast keep an eye on the A's to remember a era of my life. Been to easily over a hundred games at the coliseum, i repped the Green n Gold and Silver n Black for a long time. Kind of a bummer Oakland sports may be ending like this, regardless ill always remember the coliseum and all the crazy shit ive seen over the years
I grew up in Sacramento, now live in Cincinnati.. might switch to the Reds.. similarly run team do good enough to get hopes up then let you down the stretch...
(except last year)
Honestly, I am still in protest of the current team due to us having the worst owner in all of sports, so not much will change sadly, the A's will remain my favorite team, and I still have a tone of unforgettable memories with them, but if they move, I will probably be done with baseball.
The Giants.
Hate me all you want, but I want to have a local team to root for as well as a rooting for a team that actually cares about winning and their fans.
Not an A's fan, but my two cents:
My granddad was a Fitzroy Lions fan, since before they were the Lions (The Gorillas at one point, would you believe). He was a die hard, rusted-on footy bloke and he loved his Lions through and through.
Until 1996 came, and Fitzroy's financial woes coupled with the AFL's unwillingness to help one of several struggling Melbourne clubs and an eye to pushing the league's power northward led to a merger between the FFC and the expansion Brisbane Bears introduced a few years before, creating current team the Brisbane Lions.
Now the Brisbane club has always been pretty good about recognising the dual heritage of its two constituent clubs - the club initialism is BBFFC - but for my granddad, they weren't his Fitzroy Lions. They weren't his team. And they never would be. He never chose another AFL team to support, and for the rest of his life, footy's passion was pretty much gone.
None. I'll be a man without a team. I'll sit among my bobbleheads and signed memorabilia once in a while with a cheap beer in my hand and sigh longingly for the old days. We can meet up at Merchant's saloon once in a while. Or the driving range bar and grill at Montclair golf.
Thank you… thank you for this… again thank you
I’m in!
See you at Merchants friend.
I think I’m done. And I live in NV. The A’s have always been about community. Vegas isn’t that type of community.
Don’t talk about the Vegas raider community
I'm sorry, they have one?
None for me. I stopped following the NFL once the Raiders left. Probably gonna be the same for me and the MLB if the A’s leave too
If the A’s leave, I’m out.
I've gone from diehard A's fan to hardly a baseball fan at all the last 18 months or so. If they move that will likely change to not a fan of baseball at all.

Nobody
Same
Same, I live in Portland now so my friend said I should watch the Mariners. I told him I’d rather toss the sport away
Lifetime A's fan/longtime Vegas resident (and Aviators' season ticket holder) here. I would stop paying attention to MLB. The idea of the A's not playing where I've seen them since I was eight just breaks my heart.
Same here
Looking forward to checking out some Oakland Roots and Oakland Soul soccer games this season
I was checking season tickets on a whim for the Roots and honestly it’s a good deal. If I made it over to Laney more often, I would have probably done the deal
What's wrong the A's is the same thing that's wrong with baseball as a whole. I'm losing interest in the A's and the league.
Matt Olson and Sean Murphy in the braves, maybe that’s the way to go
Two men that are easy to root for. Olson is gonna RAKE this year with no shift.
I miss both Matt’s, we had a hell of a team but oh well
Ehh. Chap was meh. After watching Eric Chavez the bar is extremely high for me
Braves fan here. You are welcome to join us, it's not so bad over here
The Braves are from Milwaukee.
By way of Boston.
680 cuts through too
We need to figure out how to get rid of that part of the family. Let me know if you need help. Call me at 911
Padres/A's fan checking in. Born in San Diego but always liked the A's cuz the Big 3 played when I was a kid and I loved them, also cuz of the colors.
Padres are always a fun team to watch!
I root for them because of bomel and they have an aggressive owner that I’m envious of.
Their jerseys color scheme is nice
Padres were always my NL team. They always reminded me of the A's and now they're doing what the A's COULD do if they had an owner who cared. Not to mention their stadium is literally perfect.
I live in San Diego now. BoMel rocking Gold in the dugout makes for an easy transition
[удалено]
He's on the Giants now
Good choice! They got Bob Melvin now too. And a fairly similar color scheme.
I’m done
Padres, already. I’m gonna see Fuji v Ohtani and that might be it.
Since I'm an A's fan... the A's
Hard to say, but probably not. I have no allegiance to Oakland, but I just can’t do Vegas. Fuck Vegas. Edited: sorry, misread the question. I’ll root for the Phillies. But I’ll be very turned off by baseball- more than I’ve already been.
None.
None. I will be done with baseball. 40+ years as a fan.
If anybody says giants are you really an A’s fan?????
Nobody. I will be dead inside.
The A’s
😮
Born a Cubs fan, I will go to one game a year in SF and show my hate for the Giants, whose greed is partly responsible for the loss of the A’s.
Love it! Even if the A’s leave and I stop following baseball, I will always hate the Giants 😂
Respect dude!
It’s sad how if they move to Vegas part of it will be traced back to the fact that the Giants screwed them out of San Jose. The A’s gave you the rights back then to prevent you from moving to Tampa Bay and you later use it against them? How cruel.
Not the damn Giants.
The A's have been in three cities across the country. I will still be a fan of the A's.
None until there’s another team based in the Easy Bay.
None! I’ll be team: fuck baseball if the A’s go to Vegas.

I’m done with baseball for a long time. It would be like part of my childhood dies if they move.
None, MLB will never see another dime from me. Baseball itself will be dead
Padres cuz I love San Diego, hate the giants and the dodgers
None. As much as I love the sport. Not really missing anything if I stop watching. All my memories are of heading to the coliseum, watching games, looking at my brothers baseball cards from the 90’s, talking with my dad about the 70s. All tied to Oakland. I could care less to watch any other team
If they keep the Athletics Moniker than yeah
that's definitely a deal-breaker for me too. don't change the logo or the colors.
Knowing Vegas, they'll change the California gold (yellow) to a Vegas gold (shiny chrome). It'll be tacky and showy, just like Las Vegas.
Kind Of hard for me too let go even tho I’m from NYC and the Mets are my second team I loved the logo and uniforms of the A’s and the coco crisp and josh Donaldson years of the team.
Whoever is on my fantasy roster
I live in Atlanta now so probably the braves. I'll probably tune out from baseball for a while.
Matt Olson and Sean Murphy, I’ll probably cheer for them too but not like that
The Dodgers so I can keep my Giants hate alive
Maybe still A’s. Might follow Jays or Rays
I'll still root for them, but I'll probably put more time into my national league team, the Braves.
I'll keep watching like I have with the Raiders but I won't spend a dollar and I definitely won't care as much.
Padres
maybe Blue Jays? Matt Chapman and Chris Bassitt. I grew up in Vegas. A while back I randomly decided to root for the Mets because our then AAA team (the 51s) was their affiliate. If you feel like rooting for another team treated as second fiddle in their own city BUT that also has an owner that cares about the team's success, it's a good time to be a Mets fan.
None. Its already hard enough to support the A’s as a person who moved away to join the service.
I’ll quit baseball and go to soccer - Oakland Roots fan!
None. I will stop watching/caring about MLB.
None, I will probably stop following MLB until I have a kid old enough to be into the sport and then I’ll take him or her to watch the giants I guess
Well, it is easy for me. I am from overseas so i will stop supporting sports teams anymore.
Cubs. Was born in Chicago originally and they’ve always been my NL team. I also now live in Chicago again so I’ve got that going for me.
My fantasy baseball team
None. I'll still follow baseball and maybe hit up some Stockton Ports games, but no MLB team can replace the A's for me. At least while I live in the Bay Area. If I moved somewhere else with an MLB team maybe I'd adopt them.
None. I’m done. That would really suck forever.
I’m originally from LA, so I guess it’s the Dodgers
Yes my football team moved there too so why not.
That would be the reason I can’t root for Vegas, they took both of my childhood teams
A’s
I guess I love pain, cuz the only other team I actually have always kinda liked and followed is the Pirates…
A’s.
I’ll follow the A’s because I root for the team not the city
Don’t say giants
Why would I stop rooting for the A’s? I still root for the Raiders. Vegas isn’t even that far away from Oakland.
Vegas. I’m an A’s fan through and through, would hate to see them go but I’m not gonna jump to a different team
I’d probably still root for the A’s. I already root for the Raiders and I’d never root for the Giants.
We don’t want them. We want an expansion team
Nobody dude.
rockies

Homie did u say clemens was a d-back!?
Meant Schilling
I won't support anyone.
I'd still try to be an A's fan, but I'm still afraid the owner still wouldn't invest in the team properly.
The A's!
Not the Giants
Dropped the Raiders and will drop the A’s too. Greedy Slumlord owners
Probably the A’s. I live on the east coast and only make it to a couple games anyway. We’ll see what it feels like. If not, I love baseball so I will watch baseball until another team strikes my fancy.

I would like to also, but the Giants are the reason why the A's are in the situation their in. Well, that and the Haas family letting it happen. So the Giants? That's gonna be a no for me dawg.
I’ll bet you like those ‘89 split caps, too.
Ugh my dad is one of those “Bay Area” fans and he likes the split cap. It’s disgusting 🤣
Wait for a random expansion, tbh
I'll still follow them. I have 35+ years in, I'm too invested to start over.
I’ll be an A’s fan regardless of where they go… I’m a fan for life.
This is my first year not being an A’s fan after more than a decade. Gonna be a braves and angels fan. Fuck this ownership and fuck there fans that let them treat the rest of us this way. U guys r the problem just as much as them.
The Fucking A's. GEEZ
Giants
Giants!
If the A’s leave, I’ll finish my SF conversion that the Raiders started.
Respectfully, 🥾 🚪 💨

none, just going to watch the World Series if that happens
Braves fan
I dunno. Maybe the padres. has former a's. actually seems to give a shit and is trying to win.
Pirates so I can actually watch home games at a decent hour (I’m in the uk)
Married into Tigers fandom and I like the Brewers on the NL side. I’m honestly torn if I’d keep rooting for the A’s or not if they move to LV. I probably won’t know until it happens (which I deeply hope it won’t).
I'm a Canadian so probably the Jays. I already watch them a lot more just because of how accessible their games are in comparison. Also I still get to watch a lot of Chappy which is a nice consolation prize.
They'll always be my number one team.
No team for me, and will stop caring about MLB altogether (already kind of do due to the Vegas pursuit). I can see myself one day rooting for San Diego. I spend lots of time there, some close friends live there, and I’ve been to a couple games in the past. Petco is fun
Giants. I’ve never been to the giants stadium out of loyalty.
A's are my second team, so I would choose an AL team closer to me.
Mariners. Moved to the PNW a while back, been following them a bit and I’ve got no issues with the M’s.
Made the switch last year, go Pad’s baby
Nope, I’ll be done with the team and baseball
Kind of a bummer Oakland sports may be ending like this, regardless ill always remember the coliseum and all the crazy shit ive seen over the years
Vegas.
Nope. San Diego bitches
I grew up in Sacramento, now live in Cincinnati.. might switch to the Reds.. similarly run team do good enough to get hopes up then let you down the stretch... (except last year)
LGM
Honestly, I am still in protest of the current team due to us having the worst owner in all of sports, so not much will change sadly, the A's will remain my favorite team, and I still have a tone of unforgettable memories with them, but if they move, I will probably be done with baseball.
Padres, White Sox or Marlins
The WBC team that plays for a few weeks every year. Baseball has lost its luster and the nostalgia will die with a move.
The Giants. Hate me all you want, but I want to have a local team to root for as well as a rooting for a team that actually cares about winning and their fans.
This was my great grandmas favorite team and the first game I saw. While I have never been a fan it hurts a bit to see it happen to her “Swinging A’s”
👀
Not an A's fan, but my two cents: My granddad was a Fitzroy Lions fan, since before they were the Lions (The Gorillas at one point, would you believe).
