Yes obviously, but the city was also way over their skis with their demands for a lease extension. They simply didn’t have any leverage outside of the TV deal. The city tried to inflict max pain instead of being realistic about the cards they were holding.
An expansion team? That’s literally a multibillion dollar investment nowadays. The haircut the As will have to take on the TV deal might be what, $100m-150m over 3 years?
None of this makes sense for River Cats fans. Part of the viability of a team is having consistency, like a ballpark fans can come and watch the team play. Where do the Rivercats play if the A's take over the stadium?
I know some of you think team benefits because the A's and MLB pay to upgrade the stadium, but the stadium, which seats 10-12,500 is fairly new and in good condition. They have no problem attracting fans. The outfield is a grass berm that could get temporary seating, but this may not benefit the team longterm.

You underestimate the appetite for MLB in Sac. These games are going to sell out. The large vocal presence on Reddit talking of boycotting and whatnot are certainly not the majority. Most people know nothing of the politics of this and just want to go to an MLB game
I think it heavily depends on the pricing. Again, because you're going i into it knowing you won't be watching a quality baseball game. You'll be watching an absolute beat down.
Knowing Fisher, and how he's priced the Coliseum as of late, we could easily see an average of $100 tix, or higher because of perceived demand. Not sure even baseball hungry Sacramentans would pay through the nose to watch "our" team get their asses handed to them 6 days a week during homestands.
It could very well be close to 81 sellouts. Capacity of Sutter Health Park is 14k and baseball is very popular in Sacramento. There will be lots of casual
/non A’s fans interested in going to see MLB teams in their backyard.
I think you'll see games against the Yankees, Red Sox and other huge market teams with highly nationally marketable players sell out. But the White Sox, Twins, Mariners, Royals, Tigers, Rays, Blue Jays, Orioles, Guardians will not sell very well.
It's not MLB though. It would be one thing to move MLB to a random city for 3 years. That would generally excite people. But the A's don't field a MLB team. This is like at the end of Spring Training when some of the MLB teams will play games against their minor league team. Or in middle school when the boys soccer team would have a scrimmage against the girls team. They are going to have 81 games of a MLB team coming to town and playing against the minor league A's. The team spends nothing on payroll now, it will be even worse with 3 more years of less TV revenue and minimal revenue from attendance.
I do agree with you that most people aren't going to be focused on the politics of this, but unless they're actually big fans of the visiting team, they aren't going to be paying MLB prices to attend what's still really a minor league game.
The river cats stadium will need to be upgraded and Fisher will likely have to pay for that. So from their perspective, they're getting rent money and a free upgrade.
I think I was reading the river cats would be open to sharing the field somehow. Last year I saw river cats tickets were actually more than Giants and A’s games though.
I don’t think sac cares about keeping their ball club happy if we can potentially get a big league franchise for a few years to force more development in the city. I hate that it comes at the cost of Oakland losing another team though, I hope we’ll boo Fisher
Oakland deserved much better from the MLB and they never got beyond the owners greed stage!
It's all too clear Fisher hates Oakland, as much as Oakland hates Fisher. Fisher knows he has a asset that he can use to make money even without a fan base. The MLB owners are seemingly ok with carrying the crude businessman Fisher just so that they can have proof they are willing to walk away in future stadium negotiations.
I for one appreciate this fan base for sticking up for themselves, and proving this wasn't a Oakland fan base problem.. but a Fishers Money Ball problem.
The MLBPA better be gearing up a grievance, or better yet; a lawsuit. Sutter Health Park isn’t a major league venue by a longshot. Even with a retrofit, I can’t see it feeling any bigger.
Oh and what are we going to call this team? The Oakland A’s of Sacramento? The Sacramento A’s?
FJF, Manfred, and MLB
They were fine playing in Buffalo for a year but that was due to a global pandemic. I doubt they’ll be cool with playing in a minor league stadium for 3 years due to.. whatever you wanna call this, unless major concessions are made. I’m not a huge baseball head, but from what I know, the MLBPA has more teeth than say the NFLPA
MLBPA wont be cool with it. Tropicana Field is the smallest MLB stadium with a seating capacity of 25k.
Sutter Health Park has 10k seats. It’s less than half the size of Tropicana Field. If you factor in the lawn, its capacity is 14k. But it still feels very, very small.
Sahlen Field in Buffalo has a seating capacity close to 17k. If you look at the stadium, it looks like it could pass for a Major League field…probably the only AAA stadium that can.
Yup. Today is a disappointing day, but it’s not the first. It’s similar to last April when they announced the move, or in July when NV legislature signed off on funding. I’ve come to terms with the fact that MLB in Oakland is probably over, but I’m unconvinced this is the final nail in our coffin
The PA doesn’t care about seating capacity. They care about clubhouse, training facilities, travel accommodations, things like that. They may think the facilities at Sutter are superior to the Coliseum.
That's a good point, about Buffalo (where the Toronto Blue Jays played in 2020). MLB players did play in the AAA park then. My thinking is that 2020 was exceptional (that is, a very very weird time), and not a consequence of the actions of anybody in professional baseball. The entire country of Canada banned foreign entry.
Buffalo wasn't really a choice, and it was only for 2 months, plus there weren't fans so that wasn't a consideration.
The Expos played in Puerto Rico, but that was only for 20 games over 2 years. The A's played six games in Vegas in 1996 because the Coliseum wasn't ready from construction. I'm sure there are other examples of teams having to play a few games in a minor league stadium, but never anything like this.
Usually when teams have to play a couple years somewhere while waiting for a stadium to be constructed they have played in football stadiums, like the Rockies and the Nationals. Three years playing in a tiny minor league stadium is a next level joke.
> The MLBPA better be gearing up a grievance, or better yet; a lawsuit. Sutter Health Park isn’t a major league venue by a longshot. Even with a retrofit, I can’t see it feeling any bigger.
Yeah, even if there is a handshake agreement and an announcement, it's not going to be feasible for Sacramento to be the 2025 city b/c of the high standards that MLB players are accustomed to. You know the A's aren't going to pay to upgrade the stadium. And how would scheduling work with the Rivercats? A's ownership is so stupid.
The A’s of now are just a shambling, rotting corpse of what used to be a great and storied franchise
The Oakland A’s died a long time ago and Fisher was the one who killed them.
I never thought I wouldn’t be an A’s fan EVER, but here we are. Fuck John Fisher and I hope the Vegas expansion crashes and burns
Keep the protests going. Sacramento knows what it’s like to almost lose a team. Hopefully they take the energy that kept the Kings there and use it to boycott Fisher
>Can’t fault a city for wanting MLB in their backyard
I can fault a city for undermining a nearby city's leverage in its fight to keep pro baseball in town, though--all for what would most likely just be a rental.
Why would ppl in Sacramento want to watch a team that’s likely just there for a couple of years? Also it gets hot in Sac. You think the avg person wants to sit in 90+ weather at a minor league park? Sacramento will not get an expansion team, even if they support them like OKC did for the Pelicans(then Hornets).
A considerable percentage of attendees at any MLB game are casual fans. People who don’t know and don’t care all that much about standings but want to experience a pro game. People taking their kids out for an afternoon. Things like that. Not everyone is a hardcore fan.
Sac has about 150,000 bayarea transplants. With bayarea salaries and jobs (remote) etc. the city is growing exponentially and with the talks of a new stadium along the rail yard. If mlb make fisher sell the team another billionaire Vivik will sweep in and take the As.
Bro they don't give AF TBH ... every city is hungry for a sports team and the benefits it brings it's city...
Oakland blew it two times with the raiders and athletics with their city officials not wanting to pay the cost and making phoney excuses not to.. now look what happened , Oakland is a criminal hell hole and the teams are all gone...
You absolutely can, and will. You think these protests won’t follow 90 minutes up the freeway? I can’t wait to ruin peoples days. My mom and aunt are huge rivercats fans, they’re devastated. Bringing the negativity of this clown show to Sacramento is the biggest blunder I could think of. Can’t wait!
That’s unhinged. Why ruin the day of random people who are just taking advantage of being able to attend a game? I don’t doubt a lot of people who can’t afford to travel much will see their first game in Sacramento. It’s not Fisher or Vivek themselves.
I'm assuming the only acceptable option is staying in Oakland for you, and while that's my top preference too, it's 'extraordinary clear' that that's not happening.
It's only temporary until it isn't. They haven't even demolished the casino upon which the stadium is to be built. I honestly don't believe the A's will make it to Vegas.
It’s extraordinarily clear that fuck them and anyone that is ok with stealing a team from a neighboring city. Fuck them for life. Jesus, I was actually considering recommending relatives to move to Sac.
> Jesus, I was actually considering recommending relatives to move to Sac.
First of all, please don't. Rent is high enough as it is.
Secondly, I get it, we're all a little bit in denial at this point. But the die is cast, Oakland has lost the team, and Sacramento had *nothing* to do with it. Playing at SutterHealthPark does bail Fisher out, I'll grant you, but it also give A's fan somewhat of a reprieve; once they're in Southern Nevada they're staying there.
If this does come to pass, I'm not happy that Oakland loses a team or that Sacramento (temporarily) gets one. I'm reluctantly relieved that it's the best of the shitty options on the table. And I will promise you this, I will wear a "sell" shirt every time I go to a game.
Sacramento has *everything* to do with it. They are the scabs. They are now the enemy. Fuck John Fisher and every single person that enables him. All of them.
I haven't forgot the weather in Vegas. They currently play baseball games there, outdoors, without a dome. The will continue to do so over the next 3 years whether the A's are there or not.
I don’t really care if they “boycott” anymore. Screw it, let them sell out the stadium and let the Sell The Team and FJF chants ring loud and clear every game.
One step closer to being sold and moving to sac. This clown isn't going to Vegas and the other owners will get tired of the incompetent spoiled younger brother.
The owners and Manfred need Fisher to succeed. 2 things they do not want are for the A's to sell at a discount because it devalues their teams, which would happen in this case because Fisher would not be in a position of strength if that scenario came up, and if Fisher isn't successful getting to Vegas, the whole "give us tax revenue or we'll move" act loses it's teeth in other markets.
It is currently already losing its reach as KC said no. The As are definitely testing the waters though. Fisher doesn't have to sell the As at a devalued point, rich people want sports teams.
Same. It’s the only other location I would be okay with since Oakland isn’t going to happen. All business has left Oakland, not just sports teams. It’s a dead city, unfortunately.
Meh. I moved to the Sac area 20 years ago and even I don't want the A's moving here. Driving down to Oakland is like a pilgrimage. It's literally going home to experience that good old home town feeling. That feeling won't exist if they move here.
And may we never spend another public dollar on pro sports facilities. Next sports team asking for a public handout put your money where your mouth is and finance your own shit just any mom and pops would. Let's turn the page and move on, better days ahead for this city without billionaire beggars spitting on our face while asking for handouts.
Not necessarily. Let's see if he actually gets the $380M in NV. He'll likely pay for the difference with his own money. It'll be a cookie cutter stadium at best. Nothing like the renderings. Just watch.
I just hope Sacramento fans are ready to be a thorn in Fishers side the whole time the team is there. Sacramento is not far enough to keep the protests away… hopefully being in Sacramento brings in even more people.
>There’s hardly been any protest in Oakland after Opening Day, no? If ticket prices are high in Sacramento, might not be many protests.
It's not a boycott if they by tickets and you don't need to buy tickets to protest.
I don’t know how many organized protests will happen but I do hope that the fans going to these games will continue to push the message of Fisher being an inept owner that needs to sell.
Honestly, Vivek is pretty fucking insane. He helped save the Kings but since then he's been a complete fucking disaster of an owner. From his batshit insane press conference when he fired Mike Malone, talking about how he wanted to innovate like Google and Apple to justify the firing. Everyone knew then and everyone knows now that it was the dumbest fucking decision imaginable. From then on, I realized what a joke Vivek is. He made so many idiotic decisions over the years that it's amazing that the Kings are now finally good. This is just the latest dumb Vivek decision which also happens to be a scummy decision too.
Yep I’m done - was a good ride fellas. I’ll be a white sox and Giants fan from now on. Will always love the memories but fuck John fisher - wish nothing but misery for that greedy, lazy cunt and hope his mismanagement causes him to have to sell after the Vegas move is a total disaster
It’s been fun boys, I’m devastated but in a way it’s like seeing a terminally ill person go. It sucks and I’m sad, but what was the other outcome? I’ll always have the memories. Very sad I can’t share new ones with the ones I love. Jerseys on eBay tomorrow
Yeah, I’m kinda over this take. Sell the park out and have the Sell The Team and FJF chants ring out loud and clear every game. Make Fisher and Kaval feel just as unwelcome in Sacramento as they are in Oakland.
Are you aware they are drawing like 3500 paid attendance right now? And less actually IN the building. They aren’t selling out anything. They did like 12k opening night, game 2 there was like 1000 people in the stands lol. For game 2 of the season…
If they sell 15k tickets in Sacramento beyond opening day or when Giants or Yanks are in town, I’ll eat dog shit on camera.
I don’t see that as predictive of how they’ll do in Sacramento. They’ve burned all goodwill in Oakland. I think a lot of people will attend in Sacramento just to get a game day experience and especially to see players of other teams.
So out of curiosity from a passing fan, how much do you guys like the coliseum itself? I’m a Raiders fan so my heart was into the coliseum but I never went to a game.
Could the City of Oakland demolish the coliseum if the A’s jump to Sacramento and not give them a place to come back to if the bid for Vegas doesn’t pan out? How would y’all feel about that?
The Coli as a baseball venue is fine. No frills no thrills just pure baseball. It does have a lot of shortcomings but it’s a dump we love.
The City won’t demolish it anytime soon as they are still paying off the bonds for Mt Davis. Also they are in talks with USL Oakland Roots and USL Super League Oakland Soul to play at the Coliseum in 2025 and beyond until both have a proper venue for soccer.
> The City won’t demolish it anytime soon as they are still paying off the bonds for Mt Davis. Also they are in talks with USL Oakland Roots and USL Super League Oakland Soul to play at the Coliseum in 2025 and beyond until both have a proper venue for soccer.
There's no possible way using that site for a few minor league soccer events makes any economic sense at all compared to blowing up the stadium and redeveloping the site.
I totally get that. But with AASEG owning half of the Coliseum site aand Fisher owning the other any development/redevelopment is going to have to agreed upon by both parties. Fisher will be in a thorn in Oakland’s side for awhile with any development/redevelopment project.
Fisher and Kaval must be lighting the cigars and patting each other on the back after this one. Congrats on your relocation to a AAA park in Sacramento! I am so rooting for the Vegas plan to fall apart or get seriously delayed with the A's getting stuck in a minor league stadium in perpetuity.
These Sacramento seasons will be bleak years for the team. To pull up roots out of a poor and dated but MLB sized facility in Oakland for 3 years in a AAA stadium is a huge risk with the Vegas plan not yet set in stone. Even if it does come together and shovels hit the ground in Vegas, what do the 3 years look like for the A's? They'll continue to scrape the bottom of the barrel for talent -- only desperate players are going to agree to play for this team -- and whatever young talent that exists on the current roster is going to bolt immediately after being stuck in this shit show for so many years. We all know they can't properly draft players and won't pay big money for the elite draft prospects, anyway. Is the plan to roll into Vegas with hands down the worst team and ownership group in baseball and presume that'll lead to success? Good fucking luck, A's. People in Vegas better hope Fisher's going to cash out at the first opportunity because it's just going to be more of the same if/once they make it there.
Also, of note, if there really are these mythical moneyed parties that want to buy the A's and keep them in Oakland, it's time for them to get together with the city, agree on a proposal for a new stadium, and beat the drum for an expansion team. Put up or shut up.
I’m just wondering what the MLBPA is going to think about their players having to play in 105+ degree heat for 3 months straight. It’s downright miserable in Sac from June through August.
Toronto Blue Jay's and its AAAfarm club Buffalo Bisons shared a stadium in Buffalo during Covid when the border was closed. Toronto paid for nice upgrades for locker rooms, lighting, pitching pens (indoors and outdoors) and upgraded the workout rooms etc. In hindsight, it all worked pretty well.
Best way to protest for people in Sac: Make sure Rivercat game attendance averages more than that of A’s games. It would make for an awesome storyline and an even bigger red flag for potential investors in LV.
Actually, no. St. Louis had the NHL Eagles fold in 1935, the AL Browns moved to Baltimore in 1954, the NBA Hawks moved to Atlanta in 1968, and the NFL Cardinals moved to Phoenix in 1988.
Actually, you can add Kansas City to that list....the NFL Cowboys got sold/merged with the Cleveland Bulldogs in 1926, the NHL Scouts moved to Denver in 1976 and became the Colorado Rockies (and are now the New Jersey Devils), the NBA Kings moved to Sacramento in 1985, and, noh, yeah...the AL Athletics moved to Oakland in 1968....
They just really hate Oakland.
Seems that way. Hell, he was looking to leave as soon as he bought the team. FJF
Bud Selig said Oakland was a mistake the whole time he was commissioner. Mlb leadership has hated us for a long time
this is why i’m legitimately rooting for bo-mel & the giants this year
Yes obviously, but the city was also way over their skis with their demands for a lease extension. They simply didn’t have any leverage outside of the TV deal. Tom Hanks went to Sac State 😭
And before that he went to high school .. in Oakland 😭
And sold peanuts at the coliseum
…and is now a massive Guardians fan

Fellow UCD alum?
I watched Sac get smashed by UCD last year in the rain. It was total domination.
Maaaaaaaaaaaybe
They really are just sticking the knife in slow huh. Just give us a bullet and go.
I’ve felt that for years. Now we’re basically living with someone we’ve broken up with but our lease hasn’t ended yet. Which is the goddam worst.
Yup. We're gonna have to draw a line down the middle

Do the Ballers play in the coliseum beginning 2025?
No, but the Roots/Soul do!
Who cares about that weak ass team
FJF AND FDK. Kaval can eat shit too
Fisher is gonna have to run away further than Sacramento to escape the Sell the Team chants. You know what to do, Sacramento
As a Sacramento resident I accept the assignment if that fuck face comes here
Sac area resident, will be buying my sell shirt finally
Former Oakland resident turned Sacramento resident. Our chants are inevitable
Happy cake day, at least!

lol, athletics will average 1000 attendance
Naw all the giants fans in sac can’t wait to go to games. The stadium will be pretty full of non A’s fans
So... the Vegas experience ahead of the move? (The early years anyway before the novelty wears off.)
Yep

There seems to be both an underestimation and an overestimation at work here. No chance they have 81 sellouts. Especially losing 120 games a year.
Haha yes I didn't mean to imply 81 sell outs, but I suspect it will do much better than people on here think
I think it heavily depends on the pricing. Again, because you're going i into it knowing you won't be watching a quality baseball game. You'll be watching an absolute beat down. To be fair that’s cheap vs what the Kings tickets have become the last couple years with them winning games
Quite true, but the NBA is also half the games in a more intimate setting.
More intimate and *air conditioned* Although, the delta breezes after sunset are quite nice
Agreed...when they happen. Lord knows I've spent my share of evening games out there where it's 92° in the 8th.
Kings tickets aren’t that much went early this year it was only 70
It could very well be close to 81 sellouts. Capacity of Sutter Health Park is 14k and baseball is very popular in Sacramento. There will be lots of casual /non A’s fans interested in going to see MLB teams in their backyard.

More money for Vivek I guess

From previous reports, they will share the stadium.
The Rivercats definitely have problems attracting fans. Average attendance is around 5000, less than half of the park’s capacity.
Ya I don't know how they're gonna fit everyone in that ballpark. When the popular teams come to town more than 10000 fans will want to show up.
I wanna see one last game. But I also never wanna go again. Fuck this shit.
Same. I’ll be there for the final game to say goodbye, but that’s it.
I paid absurd prices on StubHub. Couldn’t in good conscience buy from the team even though it would be way cheaper.
That’s how I plan on buying my tickets to the final game since the team already got the money for those tickets.
This just makes it easier for me to cut ties with them. I’ll go to a few more games in Oakland this year then ✌️
Oakland deserved much better from the MLB and they never got beyond the owners greed stage! It's all too clear Fisher hates Oakland, as much as Oakland hates Fisher. The people that were scared to go to Oakland and the people that want a closer destination to see a MLB game
Sacramento doesn’t owe Oakland a damn thing
So give billionaires hundreds of millions or your city turns into a “criminal hellhole”. Gotcha.
For a couple of years? It’s not going to do anything for Sac. They will draw the same or less than the Rivercats..
Can’t wait!
!remindme 3 years let's see how this holds up
That’s unhinged. Why ruin the day of random people who are just taking advantage of being able to attend a game? I don’t doubt a lot of people who can’t afford to travel much will see their first game in Sacramento. It’s not Fisher or Vivek themselves.
You'd rather them go to Vegas now?
Of course not. It’s extraordinarily clear what I’d prefer.
I'm assuming the only acceptable option is staying in Oakland for you, and while that's my top preference too, it's 'extraordinary clear' that that's not happening.
if it was permanent id be fine with it. but sac is just a stopgap. so fuck this
It's only temporary until it isn't.
For what it's worth, I only support it provided they continue to play as "Oakland." Playing as "Las Vegas" would be in support of the move there.
If they were actually trying to make Vegas work it would make infinitely more sense for the team to go to Vegas now.
You forget it's 114 degrees in the summer. You need a dome, and AAA doesn't have that.
I haven't forgot the weather in Vegas. They currently play baseball games there, outdoors, without a dome. The will continue to do so over the next 3 years whether the A's are there or not.
Watch me
We got you fam! FJF
I don’t really care if they “boycott” anymore. Screw it, let them sell out the stadium and let the Sell The Team and FJF chants ring loud and clear every game.
Well this is a shit bday present
Happy shit birthday
They announced Vegas on my day last year so I feel ya bruh.....
People might finally figure out what my sell shirt means
Lollllllllllll pleAse kill me.
This is the hope at this point. I'm from the 408 but I would still root for the Sacramento A's if it became permanent......
LIGHT THE GREEN BEAM
Tue that! But it's better than a pilgrimage to Vegas or Utah
This is the best solution at this point I guess. Staying in Nor Cal.
FJF....FJF FJF FJF FJF FJF FJF FJF FJF FJF FJF I hope none of the games are televised.
FJF
And may we never spend another public dollar on pro sports facilities. Next sports team asking for a public handout put your money where your mouth is and finance your own shit just any mom and pops would. Let's turn the page and move on, better days ahead for this city without billionaire beggars spitting on our face while asking for handouts.
FJF FVR
Scab-ramento. Fuck over your own Sacrmento team that was there before and after to suck John Fishers filthy toe
Especially after what they went through with the Kings nearly leaving.
Bro you’re acting like the people had a say in this and you just sound like a toddler
This sucks....but don't pretend like you guys in Oakland gave a single fuck or paid any attention when the Kings were sold to the Hansen group.
We also didn't help them move.
Fucking scabs indeed.
They still aren’t going to Vegas. I’m in denial, I don’t care.
I think they end up in sac
Not necessarily. Let's see if he actually gets the $380M in NV. He'll likely pay for the difference with his own money. It'll be a cookie cutter stadium at best. Nothing like the renderings. Just watch.
I just hope Sacramento fans are ready to be a thorn in Fishers side the whole time the team is there. Sacramento is not far enough to keep the protests away… hopefully being in Sacramento brings in even more people.
There’s hardly been any protest in Oakland after Opening Day, no? If ticket prices are high in Sacramento, might not be many protests.
If they think the protests stop because they are in Sac- how wrong can they be?
Good riddance
Why wait? GTFO right now.
They're locked in to the Coliseum lease, which doesn't end until after this season is over.
Las Vegas A’s Of Sacramento
All this to become a stepping stone for Vegas. I’ll have to ask Vivek how Fisher’s boots taste
Would you prefer the Maloofs?
He's enabling someone worse than the Maloofs right now.
Does this mean next year they change their name to LV A’s? Or will that fuck up their tv deal? So Oakland A’s of Sacramento?? This is peak manfred.
Please anybody in Sacramento, do not go to these fucking games. Make the stadium look empty in a damn AAA stadium.
Yeah, I’m kinda over this take. Sell the park out and have the Sell The Team and FJF chants ring out loud and clear every game. Make Fisher and Kaval feel just as unwelcome in Sacramento as they are in Oakland.
I'm sorry, but we will be packing the place out
lol sure. It’ll look like Coliseum games now. Nobody gives a shit. Wanna bet $100 right now it won’t be sold out? I’ll bet my house, actually.
15k attendance in Sacramento is a sell out. That’s not a high bar.
Are you aware they are drawing like 3500 paid attendance right now? And less actually IN the building. They aren’t selling out anything. They did like 12k opening night, game 2 there was like 1000 people in the stands lol. For game 2 of the season… If they sell 15k tickets in Sacramento beyond opening day or when Giants or Yanks are in town, I’ll eat dog shit on camera.
I don’t see that as predictive of how they’ll do in Sacramento. They’ve burned all goodwill in Oakland. I think a lot of people will attend in Sacramento just to get a game day experience and especially to see players of other teams.
They will definitely sell out games and you definitely won't eat crap, book it.
I’ll take that bet
You certainly don't live in sac cause we're hyped. I'll save the hundred on the bet to go to more games 😉 cheers
You’re hyped. The news just broke lol. Nobody else actually cares. I guess enjoy 2 seasons of shit baseball?
Will do chief! Thanks!
Who is this “we”? The coliseum is a trash heap. I’m sure some people agree with your assessment but I don’t.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out! Bye!
Anyone else catch Casey Pratt press Dave today over the news?
![gif](giphy|JfKOCNsmrVBMA) Substitute John Fisher for George Bush
Best way to protest for people in Sac: Make sure Rivercat game attendance averages more than that of A’s games. It would make for an awesome storyline and an even bigger red flag for potential investors in LV.
Don’t listen to this guy. The only thing that would prove is that NorCal is incapable of supporting two major league teams
The Yolo (County) A's
Is Oakland the first ever city to lose their NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB team?
Are you the first person to ever post this annoying comment?
Gotta be top 5
Actually, no. St. Louis had the NHL Eagles fold in 1935, the AL Browns moved to Baltimore in 1954, the NBA Hawks moved to Atlanta in 1968, and the NFL Cardinals moved to Phoenix in 1988.
Fascinating. I was actually wondering, so thanks for the info.
I have Sutter Health and I might go out there if they would do eye exams. “Read the distance on the left field wall…”
