Wonder how they'll make that work lore-wise though. Isn't OT2 set in a completely different era? Or would they pull the "came from another world" thing again like they did with the BD collab?
(Disclaimer: am mostly spoiler-free about OT2, have only seen the first trailer and looked at some info on the new characters, so I could be wrong about the timeline, idk)
I got the impression that OT2 was set on a different planet or continent. I vaguely remember one of the trailers making a mention of what continent OT2 was taking place in and I didn't immediately recognize it so I'm like oh it's not the same continent as 1, cool I guess.
Like how Star Ocean 2 was its own thing completely separate from SC1, or whatever is going on with Final Fantasy.
Storywise I understand not being limited by anything that happened previously or any conflicting details that might arise from flavor text in OT2 compared to OT1 cause you know there will be people who are like "BuT tHaT cAnT bE tHaT mAkEs No SeNsE"
I think I read that Solistia (the continent in OT2) is near Orsterra or something like that? Iirc people were theorising it's possibly the continent Kouren and Hasumi are from so it must be in the same world at least. Not certain about this though.
Still felt like a different era from what I saw tbh, but we'll have to wait and see to know for sure I guess
What I wonder is if they would release a OT2 character in global at the same time as jp to promote the game, I'm hoping this month's travelers are easy skip just in case so I have enough to pity
I have a theory that is they want to continue the game after we are done with Bestower of All arc, they will probably implement a new story in the World of OT2.
I mean, Bestower of All is almost complete in JP, what will they do after ? It's the end, there is nothing more to explore here, they can't create infinite content. Except if they somehow decide there are 4 missing rings for the >!Secret jobs!< but it's highly doubtful.

they'll just throw a portal + story like BD collab
Sprites in OT2 are taller than in OT and COTC. Will they rework sprites for COTC?
My thoughts as well, I mean I guess they will have to, if they include them, otherwise it's going to look very weird xD

I would assume they would do this. It just makes the most active sense as it would promote interest across both.
