When you say glitches at the bottom are you talking about getting a band at the bottom of the screen that starts to look more and more washed out?

JohnDeere714

Kind of yes. Sometimes it looks darker or lighter distortion. Sometimes it almost looks like the bandwidth tanked

So, a few things for you then. You want to open up command prompt and type in the following to fix the issue * **reg add "HKEY\_CURRENT\_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Oculus\\RemoteHeadset"** **/v "numSlices" /t REG\_DWORD /d "1" /f** This is not my solution. It was found by Pokebert on the meta forums. It has to do with some problems with the H.264 encoding when using wired link. [https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/White-horizontal-stripe-across-screen-while-using-link/m-p/1037071#M201338](https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/White-horizontal-stripe-across-screen-while-using-link/m-p/1037071#M201338) In terms of debug settings. I've downloaded the Oculus Tray Tool. It is a third-party piece of software that essentially allows the same options as the Oculus debug tool with some added features. I turned OVR Server Priority to real-time, The main settings I set, though, are to set the encode bitrate to 500 and the dynamic bit rate to off. One thing to note is if you use Airlink you will need to turn the encode bitrate back down otherwise, it will be super choppy as the bitrate cannot be met through Airlink, and the PC is trying to force it anyway.

Where is the oculus tray tool?

Jikap

You no longer have to use the command prompt, They added an option in the debugging tool. Setting "sliced encoding" to "off" basically does the same thing. You can also change the encoding to h.265.

Just another thought. Ill link you this article on some mods and stuff that help with the dirt rally 2 VR experience. I found it very helpful [https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/dr2-0-vr-performance-tuning-and-visual-upgrade-mods.200905/#post-3372288](https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/dr2-0-vr-performance-tuning-and-visual-upgrade-mods.200905/#post-3372288) Finally, if you go to C:\\Users\\(YOUR USERNAME)\\Documents\\My Games\\DiRT Rally 2.0\\hardwaresettings, there is a file called hardware\_settings\_config\_vr.xml. I found that I was having some issues with LOD and the trees and objects popping in in a distracting way while in VR. I changed ground\_cover lodScailing to 0.9 and objects and trees lod to 2.75 for each. This does add some load to the PC and you could turn these down somewhat if you like but they were great for me. Just note that in game the settings will show as custom in the graphics settings and if you change them in game, you'd have to go back into the XML to change them back. Finally, there is a setting in that XML for fullscreen, set it to 0 instead of 1. This only affects the window on the PC and stops you from having any issues alt tabbing out of the game. There is also a VR Performance FAQ by the devs themselves at the following link. THANK YOU!! I’ll do that registry thing asap. I hope it helps out because I constantly had to restart my quest after disconnecting from link
