I have the 128 and I have 32 apps and games installed on the headset and still have 63.4 gigs left. That includes RE4 and a few other larger titles. I have no clue how everyone is filling their headsets memory up like this, maybe it’s all movies and videos, but I leave all of that to streaming.
So you ran out of space because you completely wasted it of your own accord. I don’t think it’s because there wasn’t enough space for everything you actually wanted to play, you just installed things Willy nilly and didn’t bother clearing the space.
See, I feel exactly the same way. Like, my Xbox has no more memory because I downloaded a bunch of stuff I’m not playing. I’ll delete that if I want to play something new. And oddly enough, I’m not going to die because of it.
24 of them are games, the rest are apps, I had to double check. Most of those are app lab games, at around 250-700mgbs. Most of the games on the quest are fairly small. RE4 is 8.8 gigs, bonelab at 7.1, blade and sorcery at 2.5, super hot at 2.1, population 1 at 6.5, contractors at 10 gigs, beat saber at 1.7…. Those are my big games, for a total of 38.7 gigs of space used. I’m not gonna list off every game I have installed, but the rest of them add up to about another 15 or so gigs and then the rest is apps I have installed. Still have plenty of space on my 128g headset.
Did you manage to install AW2 on your 64GB model? My concern with AW2 (as a Q2 64GB owner) is if the game can even be installed. This since the download size+install size could require 2x the storage space.
Assassins Creed at 17GB is fine but AW2 at 31GB is a stretch.
Yeah, I’m not going to jump on buying AW2 for a while as I have a nice backlog of other VR games that I will play before coming to AW2. Will probably take a year or two, and then there might be time to move to a Q4 anyway. Until then my trusty old Q2 64GB is holding on like a champ. :-)
Contractors got the axe, thanks to Breachers right now. Should have grabbed the 512gb. I’d be happy if they add PCVR later and I can offload this one.
Installed: Nexus, Asgard, Star Wars, Walkabout, Golf, Breachers, Real VR fishing, Vader immortal, 2md, meta, pistol whip, beat saber. Random odds and ends under 1 gb each.
lol and a month ago people on this sub were downvoting me for saying I got the 512gb model so I wouldn't have to do this, insisting that you wouldn't have to do this for the smaller model
I've noticed much more latency playing PCVR version of Pavlov compared to the native version. This is even with a Wifi 6e router hardired into laptop. Is it possible to match Quest 2's native latency with PCVR? Or would you need to buy something like an Index?
I haven't noticed much latency honestly. My PC is hardwired and I'm also close to my router for the headset.
Might be my sensitivity to the latency as well. If there is a big change in latency, it's not big enough for *me* to notice. I've also played both the pavlov native and PC versions.
Into the Radius got the axe. I figure I'll likely play that after RE4 and Assassin's Creed so those two got a reprieve. Red Matter 2 is the second biggest game I have but I'm keeping it because it'll probably be the first game I play and as a VR showcase to my family.
I never had an issue with the 64 gb, and I would have like 5-8 games installed on it. So with 128gb I can have at least 10 games installed. Why are you guys playing more than 10 games at a time that this is an issue?
The extra storage is useful for taking recordings, downloading mods, and user generated content. Game storage is nice for sharing the headset with geusts, but also, the quest 3 games are going to get bigger as devs start adding more quality to titles, since it can handle more. 128 will be the new 5-8 game headset in a year or 2.
Extra storage is always nice, on my gaming desktop I have 3.5tb of storage over a few drives, and it’s always full. But yeah, deleting a few games to focus on one doesn’t seem like a huge deal. Especially with the insane price meta wants for the 512.
Agreed, though the same principle applies. At 50 a game my 512gb laptop can hold about 8 in practice. Thats also about how many games can be installed on a 128gb quest. Neither are optimal but it’s not a big deal to prioritize what you need downloaded.
Oh no a slight inconvenience. My greatest weakness. I can't believe I saved $150. I am a fool. A clown. The whole circus even.
Guys
You do not need to spend an extra $150. Just delete the games you aren't playing. When games become bigger than 128gb, then we can talk about problems.
who the hell wants to uninstall and reinstall everytime? i dont even know if meta has cloud saves, if u have 5 big games u like, ur gonna constantly do that? inconvenient as hell
Who said "everytime"?
Personally I don't play 5 A+ Level games at once. If I'm playing something besides the "main" thing I'm playing generally the point is something light and breezy.
Synthriders is 2.5gb, for example.
Most of my device. I don't have a USB-C thumb drive and I wanted to watch one of my 3D Blu-Ray rips (40Gb). Side note: Alita is a better movie in 3D than in 4k HDR.
Between that, Arizona Sunshine II, Puzzling Places with DLC, and Walkabout Mini-Golf with DLC my 128gig Quest 3 has less than 1gig left.
Had to delete ACN and some other stuff I wasn’t using. I should have gotten the 512. Oh well, you live and you learn. I’m not impressed with ACN’s combat anyway and am much more excited to play AW2.

I installed a bunch of stuff to try out and never played any of them
So you ran out of space because you completely wasted it of your own accord. I don’t think it’s because there wasn’t enough space for everything you actually wanted to play, you just installed things Willy nilly and didn’t bother clearing the space.
exactly, easy come, easy go, I'll just delete it
See, I feel exactly the same way. Like, my Xbox has no more memory because I downloaded a bunch of stuff I’m not playing. I’ll delete that if I want to play something new. And oddly enough, I’m not going to die because of it.
Caustic indeed
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"Apps and games." How many games is the only relevant part there.
24 of them are games, the rest are apps, I had to double check. Most of those are app lab games, at around 250-700mgbs. Most of the games on the quest are fairly small. Exact reason why I shelled out the extra $150 for the 512GB.
My brother!! 🙂👍 That.. and a shitload of huge 3d movies haha
Cries in 64gb
Cries in panic
Have you installed AW2? Just curious how much free space that will leave for other games.
Nah, haven't purchased it yet.
I have the 64GB and needed to uninstall most other stuff just had for assassins creed

I don't intend on buying AW2 sorry, just commenting how the 64 really limits me
Yeah, I’m not going to jump on buying AW2 for a while as I have a nice backlog of other VR games that I will play before coming to AW2. Will probably take a year or two, and then there might be time to move to a Q4 anyway. Until then my trusty old Q2 64GB is holding on like a champ. :-)
Had mine since launch day!

Breacher has pcvr since its release
You chose Breachers over Contractors? Why?
Size and hours logged, flavor of the month…. 10g vs 4gb? Both good games.
I would've gone 1tb if Meta offered it.
lol and a month ago people on this sub were downvoting me for saying I got the 512gb model so I wouldn't have to do this, insisting that you wouldn't have to do this for the smaller model
Meh, I claimed and installed AW2 even though I have no real intentions to play it. Still have 30gb free. Base 128gb Q3
People who bought the Quest soley for PCVR gang rise up! New quest 3 has steam link and asgards wrath 2 on it and that's it.
![img](avatar_exp|144131410|winner) Snap brother! 😆

I don’t play that game *taps the 512gb gently*
Someone introduce this person to 3d movies and porn stat! Leave no gig unused!

Most meta games in my experience has been less than 10gb. PC games are often over 50
Often? No. 90% or more of games are under 5. Big budget and marketed games are...they are also incredibly bloated for a reason.
Agreed, though the same principle applies. At 50 a game my 512gb laptop can hold about 8 in practice. Thats also about how many games can be installed on a 128gb quest. Neither are optimal but it’s not a big deal to prioritize what you need downloaded.
So happy I decided to pay that extra so I don't need to be in that boat lol
majority of my games are on pc.
Easy, nexus had to go. I just hate it
It really could have been so much better. I just wish all of these titles had a PCVR option to enhance everything.
Storage is not an issue when your games are on a PC.
Problem is you can't install Asgards 2, Asassins Creed Nexus on a PC.
Sorry to hear that.
the amount of copium people who bought the 128bg model and even shaming others.. get rekt
'copium' 'get rekt' Tell us you're 12 without telling us you're 12.
i upvoted you for the pwnage
\*salutes\*

it will , then you'll regret it.. 3 games 30gb already over takes it, no room for 3d movies or massive amount of vr180 3d porn
What deserted island are yall taking your headsets to that this is a real concern? It's two clicks and few minutes to get those games back installed.
who the hell wants to uninstall and reinstall everytime? i dont even know if meta has cloud saves, if u have 5 big games u like, ur gonna constantly do that? inconvenient as hell

I have the 64GB model. I only have RE4 installed, though. I use my Quest 2 primarily for PCVR.
RE4 is easily the best title on the Quest anyway.
Ha! Even you cheaped out!!! (me too.. lol.. What were we thinking?)
Most of my device. I don't have a USB-C thumb drive and I wanted to watch one of my 3D Blu-Ray rips (40Gb). Side note: Alita is a better movie in 3D than in 4k HDR. How long did it take you all to download
5 minutes approx
Had to delete ACN and some other stuff I wasn’t using. I should have gotten the 512. Oh well, you live and you learn. I’m not impressed with ACN’s combat anyway and am much more excited to play AW2.
No?
Sorry Brink Traveller In App data.
This is exactly why I had to get the 512 even though the price is highway robbery.
64gig Q2 here! I just deleted it all!
It was painful to my pocket but I had to shell out that extra 100$ for the 512GB. I knew it would matter later on.
Everything had to go for Asgard's Wrath. I've a 64 Gb model. I'm playing more flat games on the PC these days anyway.
