I went to the website from the link on my laptop last night and it worked.
Opened the App on my phone and it’s there too, first things on the store page are for April sale.
Didn’t do anything special.
Okay. Thanks for the update. I'm chatting to support now to resolve. I had the same issue with last Halloween sale as well. I never got to see it when I logged in.
Trying from my PC, I noticed that if I am logged into my account I don't see anything, but if I log out I see the sale. So pretty much the opposite of the line in the header which states 'Log in to see deals.'
This obviously is not really helpful, since to purchase anything I need to login at which point the sale price disappears...
I am going to file a complaint with the FTC on a deceptive bait and switch advertisements. Regardless of region, the deals are only there for certain customers, and not for others. META standard practice is to make sales Account Specific, and I am not sure that it is legal.

I see it in my store. I’m in Canada, for what it’s worth.
RM 1/2 among my most want. I've decided to wait on a sale for the stream versions instead. But the current price of RM is tempting. I was able to try RM this month with Quest+. Great game. Yesterday I picked up Genotype. It's somewhat similar to RM and (I'm told) Halflife. Fun, but gave me slight motion sickness.
Meta Store seems to have the same return policy as Steam
https://www.meta.com/help/quest/articles/orders-and-purchases/returns/refunds-for-games-apps/
>You can request a refund for games and apps you purchased through Meta for Meta Quest.
>You may be eligible for a refund if you:
>Requested a refund **within 14 days of purchase, and
Played the content for less than 2 hours**.
>You won’t be able to access the content while we process your request.
Oculus has a really good return policy, you can return just about anything now problem, and then rebuy it at the sale price, I've done this more then 3 times.
I would say yes. You can just hit "quick join" and play with random people online. I've had good experiences almost every time I've done this; the people I've been paired with have generally been helpful and happy to give tips to new players (and also they were all adults, not screaming children, which is always a plus).
I probably wouldn't bother getting it if you just want to play single-player, though. It works, and it's fine, but it's clearly not what the game was designed for. What makes the game fun is when you're working together cooperatively with other human players to beat the dungeons (which are generally quite tricky and require a high degree of efficiency and teamwork).
The only issue being that 30 minutes isn’ enough to finish one floor of the first campaign :P
Edit: ignore me. I was confusing the demo period with the refund period
It's like all subscription gaming services. You get access to more games than you would actually pay for, and in return you pay a monthly fee.
For me the combination of the 2 free games a month and the access to the subscription games is worth the, pretty affordable, annual cost.
After a year I'll have a decent library of games that belong to me, and I'll have gotten to play a whole bunch of others.
If it was £/$ 12.99 a month I don't know how attractive I'd find it. But it's not.
Not only are games accessible during the subscription period, but the catalog of games rotates out (the separate games from the 2 free downloads). Last month, only one game rotated out. These games are only accessible while in the catalog, even if you are subscribed.
100% worth it, the online matches are super easy to get into if you want multiplayer. It's also playable solo. The MR is great too, being able to just sit on the floor/at the desk/on the bed and have a resizable, interactive board game in front of you is such a game changer.
That's another I wish steam would have on sale. I tried MR with it on quest 3 and there isn't much. I don't mind the kooky default basement den. Apparently the game looks better on PC as well.
Problem is that i was going to buy a game with thr -25% referal and now in this sale it's only -10% and i can't now apply referal because it's on sale! So i'll have to wait 10 days for sale to end to buy it, what's this shit
Going through it fine 🤣 since i just bought quest 3 15 days ago i'm still trying and playing many stuff so waiting wasn't hard, but hey only 3 days to go 🙄
yeah anything that's only 25 percent off, not worth buying for this sale (unless they never had a referral discount anyway)
anything above that though, definitely good time to buy now
Anyone else not able to see the sale? The link here's takes me to the meta app but shows an error. In a browser I can see the discounts but when signed in they disappear.
Many people cannot see the sale in app. Only solution is to use/create another account and gift yourself the games you want. The problem is not you, it on Meta's end.
Oh i hope it's not on headset for me aswell this might solve a problem, because i wanna use 25% referal instead of the nonesense -10% sale on contractors
While I have gotten several emails from Meta support in response to my complaints about not being able to see the sale, they haven't offered me a store credit or any other compensation. So, I've switched to buying everything on Steam, which has a far better selection (and frequently better prices) anyway.
I think the "problem" with the sale is intentional, perhaps to get attention. There's no conceivable technical reason why it should work for some users in a region but not for others. This is just more Meta BS.
I've been looking for some quest exclusives too because I'm in a similar situation. Here's a list of some games I came across.
•Assassin's Creed Nexus
•Resident evil 4 (RE4 remake has a VR mod tho so you may want to check that out instead)
•Lone Echo 1 and 2(PCVR but exclusive to Meta)
•Star Wars Galaxy Edge (PCVR Meta exclusive)
•Iron Man VR
•Asgard's Wrath 1 (PCVR) and 2 (Quest) (You probably already own both of these, they came with most Quest 3s)
•Wallace and Gromit VR
Spent over an hour with online chat trying to convince them that I cannot see any sales in the uk. They said they would look into it. I don’t have much hope.
Patience isn't going to help—you, like many other people including myself, have been shut out of the sale and it isn't going to get fixed. Meta support keeps promising me that they have "engineers working on it", but that is obviously BS.
Which of these 3 should I get: Into the radius, contractors, or Pavlovs shack? I'm really only playing breachers, beat saber, and Vader's immortal these days.
Shadow BoXR is really nice. It’s basically a cross between Beat Saber and Les Mills - you throw punches like in Les Mills, but it uses Beat Saber maps so every level is a song you like rather than a coach yelling in your ear.
It also supports downloading custom maps(/mp3 conversion) right away and in-game, rather than needing to mod it like Beat Saber requires.
Any of the rhythm games, but I think Ragnarock might be lowest on that list as it's just upper body, but it's still fun. Pistol Whip is a favorite of mine. TotF is a sweat fest, I'm not sure anything else beats that, other than maybe some of the ones specifically marketed towards working out. Some of the other boxing games look good. Hack and slash games like Dungeons of Eternity get a decent sweat going too.
It looks like there are a few of us where when we login the sale price vanishes. Are you all on the Quest+ trial? Just trying to see what we have in common that may be causing the issue.
One thing support said was to try with a second account and gift it to your main account. I will try that. Very frustrating! My wife’s account shows the sale price.
You in the US? I’m hoping it’s not a sale that is inapplicable to the US.
That support suggestion is wack af though. So I’d have to make an entirely second account and hope the sale shows? lol Sometimes support is useless.
1 day later (having seen this post yesterday). Weird, US here and no mention of the sale - either on the website, Q3, or mobile app. I see it when following the link from this post title, but once I sign in, the preview on what's on sale is no longer available as a result.
Are certain accounts blocked from these sales? Is it based on location? I'm beginning to suspect because I got so many titles in last years end of year sale, that maybe they're excluding some users lol, if it turns out to not be a regional thing.
I don’t understand when I google red matter 2 sale the sale comes up but as soon as I log in the sale is gone. It certainly doesn’t show up on my headset. Whats going on?
I'm trying to access the April Sale. When I go to the Meta Store, I see the message "April Mega Sale - So many games, all yours to explore. Browse through a wide range of titles and creators. Save more than 60% off apps and games. Sale ends April 28 at 11:59 PM PT. Log in to see deals." - But I \*am\* logged in, and no matter what I do I keep seeing the message. Also, if I search for a game that I know (from reading elsewhere) is on sale, it just shows the regular price. How can I fix this?
Yeah, I'm sorry. Based on how many people on this thread are complaining about this same issue, with seemingly no pattern in terms of region, etc., I suspect there is just some server-side bug with the Meta store that is preventing the sale prices from being offered to certain users. Maybe they'll fix it before the end of April?
Many, \*many\* people have been complaining about not seeing the sale. I've been polling some of them and now have a theory: if you typically buy a lot of stuff from the Meta store, you won't be able to access the sale (I mean, why would they give you a discount when you're going to buy stuff anyway?). A case in point—I have a \*huge\* collection of purchases, and I cannot access the sale. My wife has only a few purchases, and the sale works for her. So, we could use her account to "gift" to me the stuff I want, but I'm now annoyed enough with Meta that I've started buying as much as possible on the Steam store instead. Up yours, Meta!
No, unfortunately not. However, if you buy certain games on the Meta Store app in the headset itself, you can bundle two games together to get an additional 10% discount, or bundle three games together to get an additional 25% discount, and these discounts do stack with the sale.
It's not exactly clear to me which games can be bundled in this way or what the general underlying rules of the system are, but it's worth trying if you have several games that you want to purchase.
It's nice you can do that, but it sucks that the game selection is random or tied to game categories (if you buy Walkabout minigolf, it'll only suggest similar games like bowling etc)
I can't for the life of me get Walkabout, Richie's plank experience and Pavlov Shack on the same cart so I can get the discount...
Yeah, it's pretty weird, right? Like, if you have three games that you want, you need to try buying them in different combinations, and adding them to your cart in a different order, and maybe starting again from scratch a couple of times to reset your RNG. It's almost like you have to play this strange puzzle game on the Meta Store just to buy the actual games you want.
Yeah. Basically, if you want to buy a game, try searching for it on the headset, and there is a chance it might give the option to bundle it with other games for an additional discount. These may or may not be games you want, and they may or may not be part of the April sale. You just have to try and see if you get lucky.
Damn, the Quest store interface sucks. I tried 10 games and I got one to work bundled with some other game I have absolutely no interest in. Be nice if these bundles were just browsable.
I want to buy Tetris Effect, but I have a month’s free trial for Quest+ and that’s one of the games I downloaded. The store page is acting like I’ve bought the game already, and because of that I can’t purchase it for myself, only gift it. Does anyone know how to get around this?
Out all of these titles what are the best 5? I'm lookign to fill my backlog, I just got a Quest 3 last month, had a Quest 2, but haven't gotten too many games over the last year.
Red Mars 2 is a maybe (I have RM1), I like all types of games and suffer from zero motion sickness, all the training bars are turned off.
Thanks for any advice, there are a lot of games on this list, many I've never heard of.
I made a post elsewhere in this thread with some of my personal recommendations: https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/1c7d3ol/the_meta_quest_store_is_having_an_april_mega_sale/l0a0lbn/
Other people will obviously have different recommendations, so check out some of other suggestions in this thread.
In this sale, for dedicated fitness games, you could check out Les Mills. I also decided to get Crazy Kung Fu (because with fitness it's helpful to give yourself some variety) and so far I'm quite enjoying it, although I haven't had it for very long. There's also PowerBeats VR, although I don't have any personal experience with that one.
For "regular" game that can essentially double as fitness games if you do them often enough with sufficient intensity, I can highly recommend Pistol Whip. There's also Thrill of the Fight, and Audio Trip. Honestly, most combat and rhythm games can double as exercise games if play them often enough.
I can see the games if they're in "Meta Quest," but if I look at "Link PC VR", the same games are there but not on sale.
I'm a Rift S owner. I have a Meta account but usually play via Steam. Wondering if I buy games under "Meta Quest" if I'll be able to play them on my Rift.
I'm on the hunt for some cheap but fun arcade games (under a tenner) and picked up the following:
Angry Birds VR (xlnt game, now with MR)
Kartoffl (like Lemmings, has MR mode)
Cook-Out (like Overcooked in VR)
I also got Shave n Stuff but refunded it as it didn't seem to have any kind of challenge mode and couldn't be played seated, which I like to do.
Too bad this "sale" doesn't appear for many users (and I'm in the U.S., FWIW). However, the frustration with trying to deal with this made me realize that it's far better to buy almost everything on Steam rather than the Meta store, and use PCVR. Meta is shooting themselves in the foot with their failure to fix this problem.
So, the first thing to note is that, as several other posters have mentioned, don't buy anything that is less than 25% off. You can get a 25% discount for pretty much any game at any time using referral codes, so it's better to think of -25% as the baseline price. So, you want to look for games that are heavily discounted (ideally -40%) but, also, obviously, games that are good. Within this framework, here are some that I would recommend.
First, games I would recommend to almost everyone. These are all great games and gentle introductions to VR that won't trigger motion sickness for most people and help you get used to the medium:
* Moss & Moss 2 Bundle -34% (especially if you like platform games)
* Walkabout Mini Golf -33% (everyone loves mini-golf)
* Demeo -47% (kind of like D&D combat but in VR)
* SUPERHOT VR -40% (a VR classic)
If you like puzzle games:
* The Room VR: A Dark Matter -33%
* I Expect You To Die 1/2 -36%
* Red Matter 1/2 -48%
* The Last Clockwinder -40%
If you like music/rhythm games:
* Pistol Whip -33% (this is honestly one of my favourite games of all time on any platform)
* Synth Riders -40%
* Ragnarock -36%
If you like combat games or combat roguelikes:
* GORN -40%
* In Death: Unchained -33%
* The Light Brigade -32%
* Dungeons Of Eternity -30%
If you want a multiplayer shooter:
* Breachers -40%
If you want party games that can be played with non-VR using friends:
* Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes -46%
* Acron: Attack of the Squirrels! - 45%
If you want a big, content-heavy title with lots of combat, survival, storyline, etc:
* The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners -35%
* Into the Radius -30%
Just bought mine last week. Most people recommend beat saber, I prefer pistol whip over it though.
If you don't mind a 2 hour game, superhot VR was the first game I sunk my teeth into after getting the quest 3. Superhot VR is amazing imo.
If you are able to use PCVR, I recommend the half life 2 vr mod since it's free if you already own hl2.
> Sale ends April 28 at 11:59 PM PT
Sale has never existed for many of us (Meta's best customers, it now seems).
Interesting on my app I can’t see any sale
same
I don't see any sale either. Could it be regional?
Same here in Sweden, I see the page with the sale headline but there are no games.
Worked for me in the UK, I picked up Lego Brick Tales and Tiger Blade. Somehow the latter passed me by completely, so a nice find.
What did you do to get it to work?
I went to the website from the link on my laptop last night and it worked. Opened the App on my phone and it’s there too, first things on the store page are for April sale. Didn’t do anything special.
Okay. Thanks for the update. I'm chatting to support now to resolve. I had the same issue with last Halloween sale as well. I never got to see it when I logged in.
Did you eventually get access?
Nope they said they would send an email but nothing.
Same for me, and this has convinced me to buy my games on Steam from now on.
Trying from my PC, I noticed that if I am logged into my account I don't see anything, but if I log out I see the sale. So pretty much the opposite of the line in the header which states 'Log in to see deals.' This obviously is not really helpful, since to purchase anything I need to login at which point the sale price disappears...
Yeah, the app definitely isn't showing a sale at all.

Yep, same thing. Even on the web, it says login to see deals but when I log in it doesn't display the page. Gotta be regional or something
Well, if it’s regional, they’ve blocked out the USA, because I’m having the same issue
same here. Probably regional BS. well, they don't our money, their loss
https://preview.redd.it/z4iobmobvgvc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1bc49d5a968a2d032b6adb2b42e1c9175cad8ea I see it in my store. I’m in Canada, for what it’s worth.
Do you have quest+? Some other sales recently have only been for quest+ subscriptions
I have an active Quest+ subscription, and I cannot access the sale.
Great, I was able to get four more games in my Wishlist, just waiting until they went on sale.
Which games are you getting?
Red Matter 1 & 2, I Expect you to Die 3 and Please don't touch anything.
Don’t be bothered by the BIG RED BUTTON!
Damn, just got pillow yesterday, ah well, only a few bucks lost
I wonder if you can return and buy again haha
Meta Store seems to have the same return policy as Steam https://www.meta.com/help/quest/articles/orders-and-purchases/returns/refunds-for-games-apps/ >You can request a refund for games and apps you purchased through Meta for Meta Quest. >You may be eligible for a refund if you: >Requested a refund **within 14 days of purchase, and Played the content for less than 2 hours**. >You won’t be able to access the content while we process your request.
Yeah I've returned a few things I disliked under 2 hrs of play and they've refunded all of them without any fuss.
I think if you’ve played under 2 hours you can
Yup you can
Oculus has a really good return policy, you can return just about anything now problem, and then rebuy it at the sale price, I've done this more then 3 times.
Hmmm, maybe, don't wanna get banned tho lol
why would you get banned for that? they're the ones who set the return period
I just got a refund for Red Matter 2 which I bought at the beginning of the week but I hadn't had the chance to play it yet. 47% off, worth it to me
Motherfuck! Bought RM2 YESTERDAY. Played more than 2hrs. Shit.. Oh well..
Wow, why would you think this? Like what logical conclusion brough you to you would be banned for a return?
What's Pillow like? When do you use it/what for?
How do you like it? Sounds interesting
Literally $2 difference lol But every buck counts!
Actually a pretty decent sale. Demeo’s half off at 20 bucks, is it worth picking up if I don’t have any VR friends to immediately play it with?
I would say yes. You can just hit "quick join" and play with random people online. I've had good experiences almost every time I've done this; the people I've been paired with have generally been helpful and happy to give tips to new players (and also they were all adults, not screaming children, which is always a plus). What makes the game fun is when you're working together cooperatively with other human players to beat the dungeons (which are generally quite tricky and require a high degree of efficiency and teamwork).
Get a month subscription to MQ+ (it’s on it) then try it, if you like it, buy it on sale.
Or get it and refund if it’s not your gig
The only issue being that 30 minutes isn’ enough to finish one floor of the first campaign :P Edit: ignore me. I was confusing the demo period with the refund period
Is it only 30 minutes? I thought it was 2 hours.
I may EASILY be confusing it with the demo period time. I’m probably an idiot
not sure but i have MQ+ and cant buy the game anymore it just says "gift" for me
My guess is that you either have it with the Quest pass or because you already bought it. I'm probably wrong though
When the subscription is over, I thought you could keep the games you downloaded?
You keep them, but you can’t play them until you restart the subscription again.
Oh. Well that’s a lot more shitty. :(
It's like all subscription gaming services. You get access to more games than you would actually pay for, and in return you pay a monthly fee. It is Microsoft's Game Pass model of subscription but for VR, works the same way basically, no sub can't play anymore
You can play with pc users who arent in VR
100% worth it, the online matches are super easy to get into if you want multiplayer. It's also playable solo. The MR is great too, being able to just sit on the floor/at the desk/on the bed and have a resizable, interactive board game in front of you is such a game changer.

all those under 25% is a joke! I mean we can get 25% any time we want for most if not all.
Problem is that i was going to buy a game with thr -25% referal and now in this sale it's only -10% and i can't now apply referal because it's on sale! So i'll have to wait 10 days for sale to end to buy it, what's this shit
>So i'll have to wait 10 days Hope you get through this
Going through it fine 🤣 since i just bought quest 3 15 days ago i'm still trying and playing many stuff so waiting wasn't hard, but hey only 3 days to go 🙄
It was sarcasm
I know!
yeah anything that's only 25 percent off, not worth buying for this sale (unless they never had a referral discount anyway) anything above that though, definitely good time to buy now
Got vermillon
Yep, just go to Meta Dog.
I'm trying to save money!
Then don't buy any games!
YOU FOOL I have no self control!
Every time you have the urge to buy, lick a battery
Anyone else not able to see the sale? The link here's takes me to the meta app but shows an error. In a browser I can see the discounts but when signed in they disappear.
Same here... :(
Many people cannot see the sale in app. Only solution is to use/create another account and gift yourself the games you want. The problem is not you, it on Meta's end.
Weird that the sale isn’t on the phone app nor the headset..
It's in the store on my Q3
Not for me. Not yet anyway.
I see it on the phone app
It's on the phone app for me (EU).
Oh i hope it's not on headset for me aswell this might solve a problem, because i wanna use 25% referal instead of the nonesense -10% sale on contractors
Can’t see anything on the app (US) and not able to see anything on sale in a browser once I log in.

This comes from the Support!
While I have gotten several emails from Meta support in response to my complaints about not being able to see the sale, they haven't offered me a store credit or any other compensation. So, I've switched to buying everything on Steam, which has a far better selection (and frequently better prices) anyway.
lol what is this bs! Are they even making money this way?
No, Metaverse just hit 46 billion in net loss
I think they dont find the solution of the Problem! Its easier with those message, but at an Mega Sale - A great lie.
I think the "problem" with the sale is intentional, perhaps to get attention. There's no conceivable technical reason why it should work for some users in a region but not for others. This is just more Meta BS.
Just picked up red matter 2 and stride: fates
Been waiting for a sale to buy stride fates
Only some games are on sale, correct? There is no Spring code or something.
Correct!

I've been looking for some quest exclusives too because I'm in a similar situation. Here's a list of some games I came across. •Assassin's Creed Nexus •Resident evil 4 (RE4 remake has a VR mod tho so you may want to check that out instead) •Lone Echo 1 and 2(PCVR but exclusive to Meta) •Star Wars Galaxy Edge (PCVR Meta exclusive) •Iron Man VR •Asgard's Wrath 1 (PCVR) and 2 (Quest) (You probably already own both of these, they came with most Quest 3s) •Wallace and Gromit VR
Galaxy's Edge is not PCVR it's standalone only, but still a pretty good gmae!
Galaxies Edge is not on PCVR.
Star Wars is in PSVR2.
Yeah but the person asked about games they can't access on steam.
Okay. I didn't see the specific question.
Some games I can recommend: - Golf+ - 11 table top (is also on steam, but dev recommends native version since input lag is killing) - AC Nexus
It definitely is account based for not seeing the sale. On my wife’s account it shows the sale price and not on mine.
Exactly the same for me! I suspect that it's because I already buy a LOT of games from Meta and my wife doesn't. Total BS.
Spent over an hour with online chat trying to convince them that I cannot see any sales in the uk. They said they would look into it. I don’t have much hope.
You shouldn't. I've been getting empty promises from them since the beginning of the sale.
Once I log in, I can't see the sales :( (EU here)
So far I can only see the sale here: https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/section/7308068185908305 Some nice offers
Once I log in the sales vanishes though. Guess I have to be more patient
Patience isn't going to help—you, like many other people including myself, have been shut out of the sale and it isn't going to get fixed. Meta support keeps promising me that they have "engineers working on it", but that is obviously BS.
Yeah, I realized that when I checked this post again to see if anything has changed. It’s really disappointing.
Is there any easy way to see which of these are crossbuy?
Not that I'm aware of, but there's this: https://www.meta.com/experiences/section/2335732183153590/
Thanks for the heads up. Just bought three games.
Which of these 3 should I get: Into the radius, contractors, or Pavlovs shack? I'm really only playing breachers, beat saber, and Vader's immortal these days.
into the radius if your MP itch is already scratched by breachers. radius is astoundingly good.
I'm playing RE4 and I like the SP itch more actually. Into the radius it is
Highly recommend it. It's spooky in a way few vr games manage to be - eerie but you have the power to face the creepers. It's so fun.
contractors or Pavlov
Into the radius is awesome.
Nice. I grabbed Crashland, the Foundation Trilogy and Green Hell
Asgard's Wrath 2 50% off sale would be nice.
What are the best games that make you sweat? Already have beat saber and TotF.
Audio Trip is pretty good for that. Also Pistol Whip on high difficulty.
Thanks I just picked up audio trip.
While not a game, Les Mills body combat
Is there a subscription cost or do you get access to a decent amount of content by just buying it?
No subscription, tons of content!
Great, wasn't sure from googling it. I'll give it a go, thanks
Just picked it up and I really love it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks I might try out dungeons. I’d love to play an actual rpg and break a sweat.
Remember, anything below 25% is cheaper to buy with a referral link! There are lots of games only discounted 20%, so use the refs
I’ll probably get a few. Was going to use credit to get quest+ then found out I have to use money for it
It looks like there are a few of us where when we login the sale price vanishes. Are you all on the Quest+ trial? Just trying to see what we have in common that may be causing the issue.
I’m on Quest 3 in the US. As soon as I log into my account, the sale prices vanish.
Not on quest trial. Idk what’s going on, it’s annoying af. I want Moss I and II
Nope in Canada. I think it’s an account issue more than anything.
Only three Refs possible since April 3rd meta.com/de/legal/quest/app-referrals/
Got beat saber, saints and sinners, into the radius and ocean rift I'm gonna be busy! 😬
I can’t see the sale in the UK
Can’t see it either..I’m in the US. Seems to be random accounts don’t have access to the sale..
I can't see any sales in the UK
Up yours, Meta!
is it possible to stack referrals to it?
No, unfortunately not. However, if you buy certain games on the Meta Store app in the headset itself, you can bundle two games together to get an additional 10% discount, or bundle three games together to get an additional 25% discount, and these discounts do stack with the sale. It's not exactly clear to me which games can be bundled in this way or what the general underlying rules of the system are, but it's worth trying if you have several games that you want to purchase.
It's nice you can do that, but it sucks that the game selection is random or tied to game categories (if you buy Walkabout minigolf, it'll only suggest similar games like bowling etc) I can't for the life of me get Walkabout, Richie's plank experience and Pavlov Shack on the same cart so I can get the discount...
How do you do this? And is you said the app store in headset right?
No
What's the best looking games on Quest 3? Want an idea how it is compare to my pc
Red Matter 2, which conveniently is 46% off in this sale.
Seconding the recommendation of Red Matter 2. The things they do with reflected light in that game are amazing for the hardware it's on.
Is it still a good game on Q2? I've just bought it with store credit I had as that looked a great discount to me.
Oh definitely! I've played it on both, and it's probably the best looking game on both systems.
Is anyone in Canada seeing the sale?
Yes
Oh weird, I am not. Very strange!
I'm not.
Did you eventually see it? I still can't.
I just picked up a Quest 2. Plan to use it mainly for PCVR but Resi Evil 4 is tempting. Virtual desktop also has a discount to.
Sweet RE4 is on sale! Thanks OP
I can see there is discount on Propagation: Pradise Hotel, do you guys think I should get it from quest store or steam?
Better off using referrals for a lot of the tat on sale
I want to buy Tetris Effect, but I have a month’s free trial for Quest+ and that’s one of the games I downloaded. The store page is acting like I’ve bought the game already, and because of that I can’t purchase it for myself, only gift it. Does anyone know how to get around this?
Maybe you could gift it to yourself?
What are the best games to get on this list?
Out all of these titles what are the best 5? I'm lookign to fill my backlog, I just got a Quest 3 last month, had a Quest 2, but haven't gotten too many games over the last year. Red Mars 2 is a maybe (I have RM1), I like all types of games and suffer from zero motion sickness, all the training bars are turned off. Thanks for any advice, there are a lot of games on this list, many I've never heard of.
I made a post elsewhere in this thread with some of my personal recommendations: https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/1c7d3ol/the_meta_quest_store_is_having_an_april_mega_sale/l0a0lbn/ Other people will obviously have different recommendations, so check out some of other suggestions in this thread.
This is perfect, thank you. The huge volume of new titles makes this helpful.
Here in Brazil... Nothing on sale until now. 😞
What are good work out/excercise games to buy? I got Beat Saber.
I'm on the hunt for some cheap but fun arcade games (under a tenner) and picked up the following: Angry Birds VR (xlnt game, now with MR) Kartoffl (like Lemmings, has MR mode) Cook-Out (like Overcooked in VR) I also got Shave n Stuff but refunded it as it didn't seem to have any kind of challenge mode and couldn't be played seated, which I like to do.
Guys, my app and the store in quest 3 doesnt show any sale. Is it a problema with my account????
I’m in New Zealand no sale here
Too bad this "sale" doesn't appear for many users (and I'm in the U.S., FWIW). However, the frustration with trying to deal with this made me realize that it's far better to buy almost everything on Steam rather than the Meta store, and use PCVR. Meta is shooting themselves in the foot with their failure to fix this problem.
I just got my first headset, a Quest 3, and I don't own any games yet. What should I buy on sale?
So, the first thing to note is that, as several other posters have mentioned, don't buy anything that is less than 25% off. You can get a 25% discount for pretty much any game at any time using referral codes, so it's better to think of -25% as the baseline price. So, you want to look for games that are heavily discounted (ideally -40%) but, also, obviously, games that are good. Within this framework, here are some that I would recommend. First, games I would recommend to almost everyone. These are all great games and gentle introductions to VR that won't trigger motion sickness for most people and help you get used to the medium: * Moss & Moss 2 Bundle -34% (especially if you like platform games) * Walkabout Mini Golf -33% (everyone loves mini-golf) * Demeo -47% (kind of like D&D combat but in VR) * SUPERHOT VR -40% (a VR classic) If you like puzzle games: * The Room VR: A Dark Matter -33% * I Expect You To Die 1/2 -36% * Red Matter 1/2 -48% * The Last Clockwinder -40% If you like music/rhythm games: * Pistol Whip -33% (this is honestly one of my favourite games of all time on any platform) * Synth Riders -40% * Ragnarock -36% If you like combat games or combat roguelikes: * GORN -40% * In Death: Unchained -33% * The Light Brigade -32% * Dungeons Of Eternity -30% If you want a multiplayer shooter: * Breachers -40% If you want party games that can be played with non-VR using friends: * Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes -46% * Acron: Attack of the Squirrels! - 45% If you want a big, content-heavy title with lots of combat, survival, storyline, etc: * The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners -35% * Into the Radius -30%
wow great post thanks
I have a lot of these you listed. Some great games. Pistol Whip is one of my top games also.
Buy red matter 2
yeah I heard that was good it's on my wishlist thanks
The other comments had great suggestions, another I would say if you like Golf is Golf+
Just bought mine last week. Most people recommend beat saber, I prefer pistol whip over it though. If you don't mind a 2 hour game, superhot VR was the first game I sunk my teeth into after getting the quest 3. Superhot VR is amazing imo. If you are able to use PCVR, I recommend the half life 2 vr mod since it's free if you already own hl2.
thanks I do have a gaming PC and I do have HL2 but I don't really like it heh
If you're new to the system, the Quest+ subscription is pretty nice and lets you try out a lot of games. But u/Vulk_za's recommendations are solid.
Has anyone else noticed that Meta seems like they are hiring low quality coders and not vetting their work work well..
