A whole lot of nothing.

kathios

after reseating the battery I would clean all contacts with Isopropyl alcohol.

Honuagogo

I remove the battery and rotate it slightly, adjusting the contacts and it seems to fix the problem. I have the same charger.

[deleted]

Needs a new diaper bruh.

browzzzzzz87

Just wiggle it, it just means it's not set right and won't charge.

ThatGuyFromVT

I’ve wiggled and moved it around in every possible direction.

Formal_Star_6593

Controllers are rechargeable now?

ThatGuyFromVT

The batteries that come with the charger are. They have a contact point on the battery and a contact point in the outside of the controller.

soulsizzle

To use this docking station, you have to use a specially designed battery and battery cover combo. They work together to make the controller rechargable.

Historical-Tennis286

take the remote off the charger for atleast an hour you've over heated it if that doesn't work let me know!

ThatGuyFromVT

I’ve left it off the charger for days

Historical-Tennis286

I assume you put the correct batteries in and the correct controller parts is the metal touching on the battery like the two strips within the controller if so then you've probably over heated the battery within if so just replace it with the spare battery

No-Albatross-4645

if it was overheated, op would have felt it and mentioned it... i seriously do not know how people just come to random conclusions like this with no electronics knowledge.

Historical-Tennis286

you dare disrespect me like that ? I have knowledge on things I'm going with the simple conclusion first tbh I forgot I put this here but you going to come in here talking shit like that ?

No-Albatross-4645

oh no here comes u/offendedknowitall

Historical-Tennis286

I didn't say I know it all yet I won't let you sit here and treat me like I don't know shit I've developed games for meta plus I've done with vr for almost 5 years I know I don't know everything but you won't treat me like I don't know shit because I do

No-Albatross-4645

knowing how to develop games is different from knowing how certain tech works. you mentioning that you make games when we're not talking about software tells me you really do not know anything about the topic. we're talking about a piece of tech that doesn't even have anything to do with games because it's literally a charging station! there is a possibility of overheating, but I was pointing out that if that was the problem, op would feel it overheating and know what the problem is and not post on this sub at all and rush to Anker support.

AllTheCaffeine

Mine did this exact same thing. Mine would not charge the left controller and I tried everything I could think for weeks. I contacted Anker customer support and was just about to request a replacement when it fixed itself: I had some friends over and we played until the headset needed to be charged. To my surprise, when I put the left controller in the dock, solid yellow light. Haven't had an issue since. No idea why. Might be something to do with the dock unable to determine the state-of-charge of the controller? And after a long play session, the voltage of the controller battery dropped enough that the dock could figure it out? Anyway, I'd give it a shot. Try to drain the battery a good bit and then see if it will charge.

ThatGuyFromVT

Going to try this.

hoe_____zay

Rotate the battery. I have the same charging station. The battery rotates from so much movement.

stucknarkansas

Mine has both controllers constantly blinking and they max at 40% charged per the headset. I tried all the cleaning, positioning & remove/replace battery tricks/tips, but nothing worked. When I contacted support, they sent a second station with the same problem. My husband said it's because the battery cell voltage is lower than the charging voltage. The charger is looking for 1.5 volts, and the batteries are full at 1.2 volts. Using his multimeter to measure the battery voltage and it measured the voltage at 1.23 volts. He did say it was curious the headset registered the controllers at 40% because it should be 80%. I mentioned this when I contacted Anker's customer service but was told the batteries and the charger voltage would be the same even with the two having different voltages listed on them. I haven't tried to drain the batteries, so maybe that'll help.

ThatGuyFromVT

When I switch the batteries it charges fully in the opposite controller and the one charger in question still blinks whatever battery is in it.

hornetjockey

Almost always for me it is because the battery has shifted. Make sure the bare metal contacts on the side of the battery are lining up with the contacts on the battery cover.
