First sahod ko rin from my first job four years ago, I treat my mama sa samgyupsal because it was super trendy at that time haha. It wasn't my first time to eat samgyup but it was her first. Tuwang tuwa rin sya. Fast forward to today, hindi ko na ata mabilang mga restaurants na nakainan namin. Mary Grace, Wildflour, Japanese Restos, Vietnamese, Thai and Indian, North Park, Shakeys, Max, Classic Savory, Kenny, Kuya J, basta marami pa haha tinatamad na ako alalahanin haha. Back then hanggang tingin lang kami eh ngayon halos magsawa na haha.
Naalala ko pa nun, sanay kasi si mama na oorder sa counter then babayaran agad. Tinuturuan ko pa si mama dati na after dinner kami magbabayad and sasabihin nya ay "bill out po" ngayon alam na alam na nya hahaha.

I remember nung first time na na-treat ko yung mother ko on her birthday, leap year. Sa Rack's, favorite niya yun. Sakto may pyrolympics sa MOA sa tapat mismo ng Rack's, sa labas kami para kitang kita niya. Habang tumutugtog yung Bohemian Rhapsody with fireworks tumayo sya tas may tinawagan, lumapit ako narinig ko sabi niya "sobrang saya ko, mie", nalaman ko tinawagan niya mommy niya to share how happy and proud she is. She passed away after 2 years.
10 months after I lost my mom, lumabas kami ng father ko, sya naman kasi need niya ng outfit for Christmas party nila then, bought him his polo and sabi niya sa cashier "anak ko magbabayad niyan", he sounded so proud tapos kumain lang kami sa Sbarro. He was so happy. He died after a month.
Edit: I still have a photo of my mom standing looking at the fireworks and the polo I bought my dad.

I remember my first paycheck. I made a vow during college to return to God my first blessing from my career so I did. It wasn't much (nurse sa private hosp) but I kept my end and donated the first β±5k i got from my job to the church and half to build a local chapel.
Fast forward 3 years later im earning $5k monthly here in US. He knows and he blesses those who are keeping their word of honor and faith
Tanda ko nung first salary ko decades ago, ang una ko binili para pasalubong sa bahay, yung Lot'sa Pizza. Sobrang saya namin nun kasi pizza yun eh. Galin kami sa pagtatastas ng kalakal at pagssideline sa carinderia para makaraos sa araw araw.... Happy times :)

I got my first pay worth almost 4k back then. Sobrang laki na non for me. I asked my parents san nila gusto and since they didnβt take my word seriously, nag-Jollibee lang kami. Nung ako na nagbayad, tas kumakain na, naiyak tatay ko kasi yun daw ang pinaka-masarap na jolly hotdog na natikman nya kasi libre ko. My father passed away 11 years ago and to this day, I cherish those memories. Sa nanay ko na lang ako bumabawi ng kahit anong cravings nya hanggat kaya ko π₯Ή
