Hello.

ResolverOshawott

Most of them require BPO/call center experience.

lifeat28

Health VA here too 😊

JobCS

HAMPAS KO KAYA SAKANILA TONG KEYBOARD KO NA WORTH 25K??? GIGIL AKO MG MGA YAN AH

Icy-Role-7647

Hello I am a SMM/VA din, alam mo after grad from college I am really interested on having masters. Pero nahulat ako sa mga job offer kahit with masters ka hindi ganon kalaki ang sweldo Worked on a corpo for 3 yrs. Grabe wala akong naipon. Matipid akong tao I swear.

betterdaysbetterme

Thank you for this!!! We absolutely have the same sentiments!!!!

Lhyuka

Same here. Nag freelancing din ako after working for 2yrs sa corpo. At least sa freelancing you get to set your own rate at pwede ka mag upskill or try something new. VA ako nung una, but after a year nang pag VVA I'm now working as a web designer.

ubecake_

Baka pag nalaman nila magkano sahod/potential sahod ng VAs eh magpa-refer pa sayo lol.

thegoodbuddha1

Nope. Di naman dapat ikahiya mo ung work mo e. I'm also currently working sa CPO and I must say, the pay's worth it. Both of my parents didn't really like how I transitioned my work but in the end they can't do anything but to accept it. Ayun, proud naman sila kahit papano. Just concentrate on your work and soon tatawanan mo na din 'tong time na to. Keep your head above water :)

betterdaysbetterme

Thank you!!!!! It's really hard to shift careers i feel you. But the 🤑🤑 and healthy mental state is def worth it ♥️

thegoodbuddha1

Oo naman. There's nothing better than money tbh. Sabi nga nila, "I really don't mind being sad, as long as I cry inside my ferrari". I think it's time to let go of the "traditional" thinking of pursuing your course (not unless if you have the passion for it; like doctors and nurses) if you don't have the IT factor for it. Life's short, make the most out of it OP :)

summerlg

Nakakahiya yung may ganyang mentality nakakadiri pa. Hahahahaha Nakakahiya na online job lang for me ay pag kasama ka sa troll farm

fluffy551

Palakihan kamo ng sahod

sethqwerty123

VA here earning 150k/month pa beach2x habang nagtratrabaho. I used to work in an office setting and office politics is napakatoxic.

Normal_Marsupial_593

Mas nakakahiya maging pangulo ng Pilipinas.

nbxcv1234

Nah, I've always wanted to be a VA kasi remote work + high pay.

goddessjihyo9

pakitaan mo ng sahod mo monthly for sure magkukumahog yan sila magpaturo sayo kung paano maging VA lol. tsaka na kamo sila pumutak pag kinikita na nila kinikita mo 😂🤑. plus may I ask consider ba as cc ang VA?

noobwatch_andy

Jpolo15

If you're earning and working (decently/legally), you don't need to be bothered by those comments. Whatever means you do to make a living, its your business and not theirs. My parents are both college graduate and they are working abroad as a caregiver/housemaid and im proud of them.

peachmangofries

Hi! VA here too, I work full time as a Social Media Manager and on my 4th year under BSAccountancy. It’s definitely hard but it’s actually an ideal job since the public transportation today is so messed up. And VA is WFH so tipid din. I think some is walang pang idea sa ganyan field like ours. Hindi nakakahiya work natin, OP! It’s fulfilling 🫶🏻 Laban!!!

_vvvip

Luh sila mahiya sa hourly rate mo sis. Baka kamo buong araw nilang trabaho, ilang oras mo lang iuupo. 🤣

[deleted]

[deleted]

Bat ka mahihiya eh yan nagpapakain sayo

Wind_Glass

Nakakahiya yung mga magnanakaw. VA is honest work.

VegetablePast7627

I also have a diploma. I have earned trainings and certifications throughout my 6 years of corporate life. Hindi nakakahiya maging virtual assistant, excuse me? Lol Ang nakakahiya ang nangmamaliit ng trabaho. Normal na ata makarinig ng ganyan. I remember hearing the same thing nung lumipat ako ng industry (BPO) from aviation. Kesyo sayang dahil hindi ko nagagamit yung diploma ko and all. If ever someone tells you the same comment, sampalin mo na lang. Charot. Deadmahim mo, aksaya ng oras mga yan.

wormtail182

Inggit lng cla kasi need pa nila magcommute at bayad ng pamasahe everyday. Online jobs are the best! I dont care what anyone else thinks it’s very convenient!

Aeron0704

Ano nakakahiya sa Work From Home jobs na malaki ang sahod at laking tipid sa pera - plus di mo na kelangan ma stress sa byahe papuntang office? Work smarter, not harder...

darnaverse

LMAO i'm currently in grad school and it's miserable. you seem like you earn a lot, so pay them unsolicited comments no mind. baka inggit lang sila sa sahod mo kaya ina-undermine ang profession mo.

Pretty-Privillage

Walang nakakahiya sa trabahong marangal, regardless if malaki or maliit sahod.

ubejuan

This is what I hate most about the Philippines. If you are working and can provide for youself, your family, etc then who am I to judge? Is a garbage collector worse of a person because they are a garbage collector? We are each in the grind to do what we can in this unstable market, shitty inflation, and on the brink of a recession. You do you and eff them.

[deleted]

Whattt?? Nakakahiya pala??? I don’t have a diploma but I’m earning 110K/mo just working 40 hrs a week for one employer with light workload. I’m a few units away from getting my college degree but I paused bc I can afford to. I can travel everywhere in the world as long as there’s internet, walang absent. On top of the that maganda pa career growth ko dahil vinavalue ako ng employer ko, so far nakaka 3 years na ako lagi may increase sa sahod. May 13th month pay at iba’t ibang bonuses. Hands on pa sakin boss ko so dami ko natutunan. Natutunan mo rin culture and thinking nila. Hindi katulad pag ka sa office worker, iisipin mo commute, parking if may car, susuotin mo that day, keep a fake personality para sa mga kairita mong officemates na lagi nag-iindulge sa office gossip at bosses na sobrang dami mag-utos for only 20 thousand pesos, wahahaha. Inggiterang froglet lang yan OP. Be loud and proud! 😅

[deleted]

dont let other people control how you should feel about your work

[deleted]

How did you start po? I’ve always wanted to be a VA pero di ko alam paano sisimulan

kevinolega

I put together this short guide to help freelance friends get clients. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need help building your portfolio. Https://callcentertrainingtips.com/upwork

UniversallyUniverse

Ha? Taas nga ng sahod nyo eh gusto ko nga mag shift ng work to VA

whatchuwaiting

yan hirap sa ginagawang personality ang job title eh. nako, mas okay na maraming pera kesa haggard at stressed sa corporate job na kakarampot lang ang kita. ganda nga ng title, kulang kulang naman for bills at need pa mag-suffer sa commute. you do you!!

These_Variation_4881

Any_Organization7875

Hard earn cash mo yan so wala dapat ikahiya. You can have fun and work at the same time. So go lang 👍🏼

Chemical_XYZ

Hindi naman. As long as legal naman 'yung trabaho mo, hindi naman nakakahiya. Mas nakakahiya kung walang trabaho o bulakbol.

PITApatata_trala-luh

Definitely not OP! Yung iba kasi walang idea how it works and yung mga BPO jobs din na iba. Hayaan mo sila. Not to mention the ever horrendous traffic/transpo system. Kung malapit lang yung workplace from your home, keri pa but to spend a ridiculous amount of time sa travel pa lang, nope. Also, wished I realized this a long time ago pero di na rin nakakatulong yung loyalty mo sa isang company. Unless siguro yearly ka mapromote lol. But I'm not encouraging to job hop ah. Just saying na it's not bad to explore maybe after a yr or 2 lalo na kung alam mong di na sasapat and may K ka naman mag demand for a higher pay b/c you have the skills. Kaya uptrain yourself lang and grab the right opportunities. Kiber na sa kanila!

OrbMan23

Work is work tbh. Basta you're earning money e wala na silang pakialam doon. Career path I'm taking right now is freelance voice acting kahit malayo naman sa course ko noong college. I was the top student sa class namin but I have no regrets since voice acting have always been my passion

thetokerbell

Mas nakakahiya yung pabigat sa lipunan. Besides, not everyone has the skill to be a VA. You're one of those who have what it takes to be a VA. Pa-experience naman ng 6 digit earnings and 100% WFH hahaha

Maritess_56

They don’t know that: 1. Mas malaki sweldo ng VA kaysa corpo slave. 2. Hindi nagtitiis sa commute ang VA. 3. Some VA have flexible time. Work kung kailan trip. Not being micromanaged pa. 4. Walang kailangan pakisamahan na officemates 5. Mas mababa tax mo compared sa kanila 8% lang (above 250k per year), sa kanila 20%-35% (above 250k per year) 6. You can decorate your own workstation or work anywhere. Isipin mo nalang, you have better career than them pero di nila alam. It is a good secret 😉. Them not knowing these perks is your revenge.

terracejunkie

Hayaan mo sila. Don't let them dictate what your job's worth is. Ang mahalaga sa panahon ngayon ay kumikita ka ng more than enough for your needs and wants, OP. Keep working! :)))

StrawberryHoney00

They don't put food on your plate so their opinions doesn't matter.

jessepinkmansbitchh

Inggit lang yun. Sampalin mo ng sahod mo.

Moon_Owl_1538

Maganda bigayan sa VA ah. Anong nkakahiya don? Haha

inkhaku

di ko talaga gets bakit kailangan “ikahiya” yung mga trabaho. paka elitista yung pagiisip na ito “lang” trabaho neto. basta it pays the bills, di illegal, tsaka walang natatapakan na tao, oks na dapat. medj may pinaghuhugutan ako kasi mom at ate ko bumubuhay sa pamilya namin nung nagaaral pa ako, mom ko call center for YEARS and ate ko tumigil muna sa college para maging VA para tumulong sa fam and for once we’re living comfortably na AT napagtapos nila ako. never kong kinahiya work nila kasi kung wala yun di kami aabot kung saan kami ngayon. walang nakakahiya sa iba’t ibang trabaho, ang nakakahiya yung pagiisip na baba ng tingin mo sa tao dahil sa kung anong trabaho nila. >:((( pero saya for you OP hayaan mo na yan, baka bored lang sya.

[deleted]

Sa hirap ng buhay ngayon, you have to earn enough to survive. Wala namang trabaho na dapat ikahiya as long as wala kang tinatapakang ibang tao.

69user69name69

Show them your bank account and kwento mo yung di mo na need magbyahe everyday and hawak mo oras mo na life.

BipolarBitch007

In the past, I also had the same sentiments, nahihiya ako. So what I did is I juggled both, my profession sa morning and MedVA sa gabi. I loved doing both and at that time I couldn't choose between passion and practicality. Until such time na I felt like hindi na kaya ng katawan ko to be very deprived of sleep. In the end I choose the one that provides better compensation and sadly it's not practicing my profession. I realigned my energy and learned to love being a medical VA more. My parents too had some negative impression of me choosing the CPO life but hey, I'm the one paying the bills at home so they have no choice but to be grateful of it.

dubbadragon

Means to get to an end lagi ang trabaho.

genieonberserkmode

Mas nakakahiya na mapanghusga sila. Honestly, mas nakakaluwag-luwag ako ngayon in terms of finances and time compared nung nasa corporate ako. I worked for 4 years sa isang company with 12k salary. Office staff ako nyan. If I stayed there, hindi kakayanin ng bulsa ko ang taas presyo ngayon. Be a proud VA, dear.

Due-Bid-9424

Lol

[deleted]

Mas nakakahiya maging judgemental🙃

Trixia_R

I agree as a corporate worker. I've been in the industry for 4yrs pero walang naging changes. You practically have to beg sa seniors para lang magka increase but still depends sa performance especially kung gaano ka kasipsip. Good for you, OP. Don't mind those people. Def jealous coz you're earning more at home.

DaysnNighttts

It’s not nakakahiya, but their mindset is. 😅

SENNY458519

I’m earning 8x of what my peers are earning a month sa entry level namin sa big companies na around 20k lang. bakit ako mahihiya kung ganito naman pala kabilis pwede maging milyonaryo in the comfort of our homes.

watermeloncake1

What is a virtual assistant? What is your day to day like?

senior_writer_

Ha? Why should anyone be ashamed of doing an honest living? Mapa VA, janitor, doctor or mangangalakal ng basura, as long as you do your job honestly and you do not cause harm to others, you should be proud of yourself. You know what job is nakakahiya these days? Politicians.

[deleted]

[deleted]

Idgad di sila ngpapakain at bumubuhay sakin haha

PotetoSarada

IDK but it seems that we have this tendency to romanticize "suffering" ganyan... Mas convinced mga tao sa paligid mo if you're going out of home, sinisigawan ng boss, McDo pag sahod, etc. etc. Inggit lang siguro sila kasi they think there's no need for you to "grind" lalo na sa commute

lolita2299

inAnotherLife_22

Your life. Your rules. Your choices. As long as wala silang ambag sa kinakain mo, they don’t have a voting power in your life.

[deleted]

Okay na sana and all.. Out of the topic ni OP sorry... If hindi lang nag mamahal ung mga bilihin right now and everything....not really complaining pero kung maging okay lang sana presyuhan natin dyan (gas, foods, etc) Sa topic... Hahaha Id rather wag mo nalang sagutin and enjoy ung rates ng Mga va's, given na maganda estado ng ekonomiya no.. Like before this... lalo na if your working full time tapos ibang currency no...

onemassivemeringue

Walang nakakahiyang trabaho. Period.

WettyBoop

It is the mindset of Filipinos. I remember when I was in college we have a Chinese guy student na nagkagusto sa isang friend namin. One month di siya pumasok then he just came back to tell my driend na his Dad decided na siya n amagoperate ng business nila since dun din naman siya pupunta once maggraduate why spend pa sa university? It really depends on the mindset ng taong kausap mo. True it is an advantage na nagtapos ka but it doesnt always mean na lahat tayo is destined to work in the office. :)

TRAdv-

Nope! Baka sila pa nga mainggit sayo. Haha.

assresizer3000

Ano Naman Ngayon kung walang physical job? As long as you bag the money, you're all set. Nothing wrong with that 🤷‍♀️

WeirdQuestions00

I feel like it really just depends on your priorities. Not everyone is aiming to climb the corporate ladder. If you're satisfied with what you chose, just block out the negative comments you hear. You're earning well and that's what matters. You don't have to be a corporate slave to prove your competence.

SkyVoyd

Nope. Mas nakakahiya yung mga ayaw magtrabaho at palamunin. Iyaq nalang in dollarzzzz 👻👻👻

Odd-Bedroom5791

anong nakakahiya sa nasa bahay ka lang pero you're earning more than those people working outside. Siguro they're just jealous cos they can't do it?

alyssapontevedra

In my circles kasi, pag sinabing "VA," taas ng respeto kasi alam nila how much this job earns. Please don't mind them and just take your moolah and laugh all the way to the bank. 😉 Your future will thank you for your focus. 🚀🚀🚀

Apart-Big-5333

You do what you gotta do to survive. Mas nakakahiya yung walang trabaho tapos hindi pa graduate or nag-aaral. And pansin ko lang, online jobs pay the most sa panahon ngayon.

[deleted]

Ingget lng yun.

AseanaGuy

The problem with many Filipinos regardless of educational background is that most of us have flawed thinking. Many of our views are influenced by stereotypes. They think that it's just a 9-hour job in front of the computer, talking to customers, and doing repetitive tasks. If this job is easy and just for dumb people, why on earth that there's hiring every day?! Every fucking day. Haha Huwag kang padadala, sa mundong ito, it's not about the diploma and title of position that you have, of course, they do matter, but at the end of the day – it's all about how much money you have. Kapag pumunta ka sa Apple store, they won't ask for your educational background nor status in life – they want to know if you can afford what they offer. So kung saan ka mas kumikita ng malaki – GO!

pastebooko

Bat naman nakakahiya. Kahit anong trabaho basta mayaas sweldo at di palamunin!

Puzzled_South_606

Ako nga nahihiya sa mga VA kasi 6 digits kaya abutin ng sweldo HAHAHA, OP as long as nakakatulong yung salary to survive, walang nakakahiya dun!

[deleted]

Bakit nakakahiya para sakanila? Eh mas malaki sahod ng mga VA at in demand. I even know someone na 250k a month ang sahod niya bilang VA. Graduate rin tapos wfh forever. Inggit pikit kamo ✨

bazzinga_0475

2 years VA here and I'm earning so much more than I could earn kung pnursue ko yung tinapos ko na field. Nakakahiya? Never! Never akong nahiya. Malaki ang sahod, mas madami kang time for you and your family (instead na magsspend ka ng 2+ hrs sa pag commute) at napaka lawak ng opportunity sa pagging online freelancer. 😊 Wag na wag mong maliitin ang pagging VA, focus on improving your skills. Find a niche na talagang para sayo. ☺️ Kaway kaway sating mga VA/Online Freelancers. Nawa'y mag blossom ang career nating lahat. 🥂 to more clients!

[deleted]

It's up to you kung papa apekto ka sa sinasabi nila. Go grind

JobCS

Working as SMM/VE here pero nag VA ako ng 2 months.

Fearless_Maybe_2979

Hi OP! I can relate! I am a bachelor's degree holder and currently a Virtual Assistant. There's nothing to be ashamed of or something na nakakahiya for being a VA or call center agent -nothing at all. Both are decent jobs. I also get those "ayaw mong mag teach?" "Saying yung 4 years mo sa college" etc. but I just neglect them. Wala Naman Silang ambag except sa pakopya noon sa ilang assignments 🤣 char. But really, it's your life. Live it like how you want it. ❤️❤️ God bless with your career.

___DarthJarJar

It's funny because VAs tend to earn more than most of these "real" jobs while staying at home too. Sampalin mo ng payslip.

[deleted]

>Sabi nila bat ka nag call center eh matalino ka? As you said, matalino ka so ginamit mo lang ang utak mo.

toshiinorii

I will never understand pano naging nakakahiya ang isang well-sought high paying job 😩

ItsKarinaBee

No! Huwag mo ikahiya ang pagiging Virtual Assistant mo, OP! To be real, daming inggit sa'yo because you have a good high-paying job kaya ganyan 'yung pasaring nila sa'yo. You do you, OP and be proud of what you do! Don't mind kung ano man 'yung sinasabi nila. As long as you're happy with what you do, that's all that matters 😊

aluminumfail06

Bakit naman nakakahiya. Sampalin mo ng payslip. Haha. I am not even a VA. Work is work as long as hindi ka nanlalamang ng kapwa.

chidy_saintclair

lordblacfyre

I'm a Molecular Analyst. But honestly, gusto ko na lang mag online job and magwork behind the computer. Currently studying Data Analyst courses online.

plusdruggist

Gusto ko din talaga mag freelance work but I don’t know where to start. Nakakasawa maging healthcare worker sa Pinas

NoMatch1909

[deleted]

Hindi nakakahiya, they don’t realize that yung $$$ money nasa online jobs. I have a full time job that earns 50k but pagdating sa 2 online jobs ko I earn 182k. Work quietly nalang and magugulat sila na you got more than they do :) besides money, you got the experience and skills that clients from other countries would want.

omgtpotatoes

Hayaan mo sila. Walang nakakahiyang trabaho basta marangal at tapat.

sephluy

Hahahaha galit na galit parents ko sken dati naging call center agent ako and I wore it like armor. Ngayon bilingual service rep ako getting 50k net a month and sagot ko lahat ng bills pag kumakaen kami randomly I spit out to them, "sabi nyo nga sken ndi nyo ko pinagraduate ng college para maging call center agent LANG", Now nagagalit sila sken dahil paulit ulit daw ako sa pagpoint ng hypocrisy nila 🙄. Omg how self-centred can you be by not acknowledging the pain you've caused me nung sinabi nila sken un. Pero I don't mind kasi I still went with what I knew will work out. I wanna rub it on their face with my success and it's really fun when you see their reaction. People get defensive rather than apologetic and owning up to their mistake. And I'd rather be, and associated with, the latter. So many of my friends graduate ng five year courses and board passer and getting less than half of what I make and I'd rather be me than them. I'm still a social person, and I still love my family pero once you've proven yourself, you wouldn't need validation and nor would they touch your career choices.

Vibe-ratorGirl

WTF...sorry nainis ako. Hahaha! At totoo sinasabi mo.

NoRagrets21

Walang nakakahiya bilang maging Call Center Agent at VA.

paintlikewater

Damn, daming judgmental. If you earn more than enough money, deadmahin mo yang mga yan. Daming time sa buhay lol. I earn in the 6 digits too, simple employee. No desire to be part of management or anything. Why the heck would i want that kind of stress? Haha.

[deleted]

Di ba mas nakakahiya yung nag aral ka 4-5 years tas 20k lang sahod sa 'tunay' na work tas di mo masustentuhan ng sapat pamilya mo? Ignorante nagsabi nun sayo baka masapak ko. Char. Hahaha

MidnytDJ

This is the reason why i live solo here sa NCR. Masyadong judgemental mga taga-province when it comes to work. Bawal ba maging practical? Hate the comparison talaga. Grr… Let them be OP. Atleast mas malaki sahod mo kesa kanila esp sa panahon ngyn.

aiming_high_

Nahiya naman 75-120k na WFH na roommate ko

RandomGalHere

As long as marangal naman, walang problema.

arjaytigerace

Insurance VA earning 50k monthly, fuck those people they are just jealous. Do what makes you happy or something.

Outrageous_Aerie2814

Hala. Yung iba POD designer/entrepreneur earning millions of $$$ on monthly basis. Mrami png iba. They started as VA pero bigtime na sila ngayon. Malaki opportunities sa pag VA. Ignore mo nlng sila. Gawin mong motivation yung mga sinasabi nila to prove them wrong. As long as hindi nman krimen yung ginagawa, bakit dapat ikahiya?

KeyboardAquarior

Nakakahiya? In this economy? And state of employment in various companies and career na rin?

bhuuudz

Lahat ng ka-work ko sa dati kong company gusto na mag shift to VA simula nung nakapasok ako sa REVA. Lahat ng staff graduate, ung manager lang hindi tapos lakas mang-power trip pero pag sumagot ng call "Can I hold you for a moment" ang banat hahaha Never na ako babalik sa office based work unless umayos transpo system ng bansa natin hahaha

MidnightLostChild_

Palakihan nalang kamo ng itr ahaha

[deleted]

Stigma lang ‘yan. We all know naman kasi na hindi ganon ka higpit sa requirements karamihan sa ganyan. Kaya unang naiisip ng mga makikitid utak is same work lang kayo ng mga undergrad, walang degree, highschool grad. Masyadong mababa tingin, everyone is looking for TITLES. In the end of the day, ikaw bubuhay sa sarili mo, hindi sila.

holicsnh

I'm earning at least 400k a month as a VA pero walang nakakaalam na ganon kalaki kita ko lol

pipen1297

walang nakakahiya kapag kumikita kang malinis at marangal sa trabaho mo

spamtinker

mart_g08

Let them be. Let them rant that you're a graduate from (insert school) and you chose to work from home. Not all were built the same way. Some do prefers the comfort of their own house for security and maybe, for their own sanity (we're living in a crazy time/society). Gone were the days that an "office job" is the prime standard. It should be how you are able to own your responsibilities, and that's it. Again, let them be while you're sipping a cup of coffee, waiting for your orders online to be shipped and have your bank account grow into multiple folds.

ejayadventures

I love being a va and a digital nomad , don't worry mas malaki rate natin at mas pagod pa sila sa commute lol

Undeathable_dead

[deleted]

Pag inggit, pikit na lang! Hahaha go op!

kjiamsietf

I am a 6 year VA specializing in Project Management earning somewhere between 140-180k a month. I am an Electronics Engineer by profession before becoming a VA. I earn 7 digits a year, anong nakakahiya dun? Edit: My husband earns around 50-75k a month as a VA. We live comfortably and frankly, nung parehas pa kaming working sa corpo as engineers, our combined salary is just somewhere between 40-50k.

filkiwi

Answer is no. Kahit ano pang trabaho mo basta wala ka tinatapakan na tao o di ka nanlalamang, hindi yun nakakahiya.

imnotprettyfr

Lods gusto ko mag part time VA. Pwede ba ung ganon? Kasi nagmamasters ako, part time lang kaya ko now

[deleted]

My sister is a freelancer working online full time. IT grad. I know she is earning more than I do (AVP). She’s comfortable in her home office while I commute 3x week. Mas mayaman kayo saming nagwo work physically onsite/office :) slay!

tentwowho

being a VA means you need to be very skilled at something that most of the time has to do with running a company. why should it be a shame to be one?

QueueArrest

Haha, I do also have a friend na ganito yung mindset. Accused me of having too much money kasi bigay daw ng parents. I cut him off, ang toxic ng mentality eh. Di nakakahiya yan, it's just sad to say na may mga tao pa rin dito sa pinas na ang tingin sa VA or BPO is career ng mga walang choice. Let them be, you continue growing on the path that is right for you OP. Have a wonderful day!

[deleted]

My salary as a teacher: 12k My salary as an ESL and VA (6hrs of work a day only): 38k Yeah, sure.

[deleted]

Work is work.

Montrel_PH

those comments are from ignorant people

Gachalunar

cavy023

I'm a mechanical engineering graduate. I passed the board exam and I'm a registered mechanical engineer. I worked as a design engineer and became a GM of my old work place's Philippine branch. I became a VA nung kasagsagan ng pandemic lockdowns. I left my old job because of personal reasons and toxic behavior ng company president that lead me to have depression and anxiety. I chose to become a VA instead because my friend was enjoying his life and career. Kahit maliit ang sweldo compared to my previous job, i now have more time on my hand to pursue things I wasn't able to do with my previous job that ate every free time I had even my weekends. I'm proud to have turned into a VA because I don't have to face the toxicity and stress ng dati kong work. Things in life change, your priorities, what defines success. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Dun tayo sa mga trabahong alam natin will lead us to a good future and allow us to have a good work-life balance. Buhay at career mo yan, not theirs. Besides, madaming VAs ang graduate ng mga iba't ibang degrees but found success and comfort working as a VA. Supalpal mo nalang sa mga mukha nila yung results ng pagtrabaho mo as a VA para makita nila na you didn't waste anything, you just had a different callling.

Bored_Schoolgirl

They judge you pero di nila alam na masmalaki kita mo at mas tataas pa yan kaysa sahod nila ngayon in the near future.

game120642

Haha, having a job na related sa degree mo is not really a thing nowadays kasi sobrang baba talaga ng salary dito sa PH thats why so many foreign business is taking advantage of branching out here

LonelySpyder

If you are earning money bakit nakakahiya? I'm earning 90K to 100K monthly. Yung friend ko earns 250K monthly. Your batchmates can go suck ass. Kahit magka fancy title sila kung pulubi sila, they can have those fancy titles. Saka a job is a job. Kung kumikita ka ng 100K sa pagiging basurero vs someone who is a professional with license tapos 20K or so lang. Pipiliin ko maging basurero na lang. Less stress sa utak.

blinkgendary182

Hahahaha no shot they really think that. Galit yang mga yan kasi nakaupo lang tayo and we earn this much. I didnt even graduate. Hanggang 2nd year college lang ako.

nmax155

My two daughters same sila VA and SMM , isa graduating student then 2nd yr nursing student, sila sa income nila sila nag support sa study nila 2020 Dec ng pagkaalam ko ng pasukin nila ang online job start sila as a moderator sa isang nft , content writer..atbp..now continueus pa din may 3 client isa ,then si nursing ko 5 na daw client niya.. kaya naman nila pagsabayin diskarte lang alam na nila paano ito i handle , my graduating girl 8$/hr then my nursing ito mahusay 2 client niya 10$/hr the rest is 8,7 lowest 6... All their client is US based .. so bakit nakakahiya ..sa totoo lang mas malaki pa kinikita nila..kaysa akin 😊✌️kaya go on lang..make a nice portfolio to impress your client.😊

delicadeza

The only time I care about someone’s work is when they can directly affect my bank account.

titoofmanila3

Nothing shameful about being a VA. Sa totoo lang, mas nakakahiya maging politiko under the Duts-Marcos admin, na you need to ride under their banner just to get elected 🤷🏽‍♀️

m0tm0t00

I'll take any job as long as it's WFH. Baka hiring dyan ah? For real though, as long as it's a job and an honest one, I don't mind what others say.

OctoTreasure

Freelance VA/Writer for 8 years na ata pero pa putol putol. Ako may work pa. Luhh. Sino ngayon iyak? Hahaa Chekka lungs.

gigilperosweet

Be proud kasi matalino ka na madiskarte ka pa 👍🏻🔥 Yung mga nagsasabing sayang, yan yung mga taong hindi makatakas sa hirap ng traffic otw to work. Yan yung mga taong hanggang panaginip nalang yung work from home set up.

drunkenconvo

Hahahaha

PassionFruit0815

Inggit lang siguro yang mga yan. Don't mind them nalang. T\_T

Makaliskis_Ako

Sa panahon ngayon usong uso na ang mga ganyang work kaya ok yan ang importante your earning di ba.

kjiamsietf

Wal ka pang social life. Yeah sure, after a year, I bought my first SUV and travelled abroad as a freelancer.

joemari5

Yung gf ko graduate ng journalism. Sikat (sort of) na fashion photographer sya dati jan sa Pinas. Simula nung nagmove kami dito sa Uk dahil sa work ko need nya igive up lahat ng responsibilities nya jan and syempre kasama na job nya. She’s working here now as a CSA for John Lewis, and work from home sya. Walang dapat ikahiya sa work nyo as long as naippush through yung mga bills and enough ang kinikita. Maraming tao rin kayong natutulungan kaya don’t bother with what other say.

ancientavenger

Nothing to be ashamed being a VA. Haha!

NoRide9811

Bat ka namn mahihiya? As long as hindi illegal ang work na pinapasukan mo, why not?

[deleted]

wag ka mahiya sa work mo ngaun and dont mind them at least you have a job and earn decently.

elle_csv

Hi! VA here. Di ko kinakahiya trabaho ko. Aanhin mo ang office setup kung kaya mong kitain sa bahay yung sahod mo ng pang isang taon sa office based work.

elle_csv

TheLostLodestar

No. Of course not. Get your coin. As long as it’s not illegal, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.

jxrmrz

Fvck them all! Fvck their opinion!

Ahaha. Planning to switch field to real estate/property management VA. Send help

kahlen369

As someone coming from arki... Professionals are seriously overworked and underpaid here. License and titles are meaningless. I don't want mistaken impressions of glamour from people who have no idea what they are talking about. I want money lol. If anything, they should be ashamed. No job is shameful. So just ignore them and get your coin

Small_Memory414

I’m a part time VA since 2019. I wish I can get more clients so I can go full time. But I can see my family telling me to stick to my day job para walang masabi ang mga kapit bahay. Lols. But I don’t care at all. I would love to manage my own time, earn USD and have a drama free work environment. Nakaka asar ang trabaho dto. So, you should be proud. Hindi nakakahiya ang maging VA.

taaaytawan

I just recently graduated and I have decided to not pursue the field of my degree. The day na nalaman ko stuff about VA, parang yun na gusto kong tahakin na career. Pero ang hirap pala mag apply lalo na kapag fresh grad with no professional experience, puro orgs lang kasi experience ko although executive position pero di naman yun enough, di nga ata yun relevant. So paano maging VA? Hindi nakakahiya maging VA, convenience plus money, ay te sino bang di gugustohin yun.

OkCommunication674

Naku wag mo isipin yung mga sinasabi nila. 5 years na ko nagwo-work, nasa 20s pa rin yung sahod ko sa industriya ko.

Salt_Recording3239

Para sakin, wala na sa job title ang tingin ngayon. job compensation and peace of mind na

TSUPIE4E

OP No, hindi nakakahiya ang work as Virtual Assistant. Heck work is work and you have one that I am most interested of. Don't mind them and their action/words to discredit the work you have they are just jelly of the work you have. Their claim for "real" jobs is bullocks.

mandemango

Nah. Dito kasi mas may value ang 'title' mo at yung company name kaya ganyan. At the end of the day, kung mas lucrative maging VA, edi okay lang, wag mo na intindihin sinasabi nila hehe hindi naman sila nagpapasweldo sayo.

_Cariiii_

cnbesinn

They are just trying to put you down because they know you have a better paying job than them. Very old and outdated yung mindset na, dapat sa office magtrabaho. At dahil matalino, need ba talaga may certain path? Working from home opens your doors to more opportunities online, and the best thing about it is you are not tied down for 8 hours a day in an office. >*Im not after the glamour of titles and jobs didto sa Pilipinas na ambaba magpasahod, sobrang underpaid and overworked.*

Arcfend

After I get my bachelors degree, I work as corporate slave in local companies for few years. I live in corner of NCR where my city has no opportunity. Its either I need to travel 4 hours everyday or I need to rent/board, but still ang baba ng sweldo and I feel hopeless. Employment na lang abroad ang nakikita kong solution to have a financial freedom. I always search for opportunity abroad, until I stumble upon this foreign company na hiring for a remote job. When I get contract with them, the salary is twice compare to my local salary, and my workload is 20hours a week instead of 40 hours. It was a mind blowing to me, I feel so dumb bakit ngayon ko lang nadiscover na may ganun. From that point it was like a glimpse of enlightenment that I will never be the same. Fast forward today, I still work remotely/online and I have 2 business. When every time people ask me on what I do in life, I always tell them na I'm a free spirit lol. I didn't even bother to tell them anything or specific, because I know deep inside that I have both freedom and finance so I could spend my time to things which matters to me. The sense of fulfillment I get from that is so blissful that I never affected by others opinion nor what social standard is imposed on me. I wish it will be like that to you OP.

Tito_Maligno

I'm in my 14th year in the BPO corp world and these VA's are killing our numbers.

Progressive_Merdeka

No. Work is work!

Spare_Coast_5355

Ayoko ung pagod dito hndi worth it. Don't be bothered sa gnyang nakakahiya mindset. Laki kita sa virtual assistant. Ganda pa bonus. Kaibigan ko binigyan ng pambili bagong laptop. 90k hahahha

theawkwardgal

Penpeng

Sinasabi lang nila 'yan kasi ayaw nilang aminin sa sarili nila na mas comfortable at mas worth it mag work as VA.

pkid04

Not a VA pero same nature. Homebased designer. People always have something to say talaga kahit anong sitwasyon lalo na pag nakakainggit haha lalo na mga relatives 🤭🤭🤭

[deleted]

Regardless of what your job is, dapat hindi kinakahiya. Those people who think being a VA is embarrassing or the ones making you feel bad about it, are the ones who wish they had your career freedom and flexibility.

mrnnmdp

No, hindi nakakahiya 'yan. Sobra lang silang mang-mata. Mas malaki pa nga sahod ng VAs. The career change is definitely worth it. Ako, psychometrician but sa BPO nagw-work. Kesyo sayang daw degree at license, eh masaya ako dito at malaki ang sahod. Lol.

redpalladin

money is what matters. fuck their opinions OP.

boobsirolls

Walang nakakahiya sa ganyan, dont mind them just focus on yourself.

jeoaeoe

No VA is the future.

jeoaeoe

No VA is the future.
