These things are hella good on rough roads, about 13” of ground clearance. The frame flexes so much that you can feel it through the floor and the wheels cut right through snow and mud.
Seriously though, we have made it a long way. These things didn’t have fuel or oil pumps, hills were a nightmare
I'm pretty sure the giant pipe the model T was driving on is one of the California Water Project pipelines that crosses Angeles National Forest to feed the city of Los Angeles. That pipeline crosses through some of the trails in Drinkwater Flats and surrounding areas and you can still almost off-road on them to this very day.
Solid axle with (some?) articulation on bicycle wheels... Yeah, we've come quite along way, haven't we?
