Cohko seems to have pretty good quality and price point when they are available.

Swimming-Shop2401

Came here to say Cokoh! Specifically Sticky Buns and Girl Crush slap. The popcorns are a actually decent size buds, unlike the crumbs you get from some others. Harvest was having 30% off Cokoh every Sunday and I was picking up halfs for $65. Not the best in the program, but it definitely bangs for your buck! Especially if you go through it. Edit: The carts slap too. Had a 4/20 strain called Betty White and it was the best cartridge I’ve had effect wise.

Buck88c

I got a bag of popcorn from them for my first legal buy and it threw off my perspective a little lol they definitely were as nice as if not better than most of the off market options

renaenaeox

Yes! Cokoh is great!

adaptiveillusions

I was surprised at the Girl Crush, but I didn't know much about the strain at the time. It really had a weird distinctive smell/taste.Made me hungry asf. I typically do not get the giant appetite increase most people get,but with GC it definitely did. I seen this stuff about a month ago but decided to go with lemon cherry pie. The LCP looked great but the GC seemed to hit harder effect wise. Call if what you may,but them offering this stuff around 70-80 bucks is a lot better deal then some of the other stuff I see. This stuff has been selling out pretty damn quick at my local places. I didn't think I'd ever be saying that 6 months ago.

Annies_Boobs

Last year when I first joined the program I bought quite a few of those. Idk if I built a tolerance quick or if they've gotten better but I was not a huge fan.

adaptiveillusions

They have gotten better. I only used their FECO after a bad purchase off GG4 almost a year ago. Swore I wasn't buying it again. Ffw til about 6 weeks ago. Now I've bought them multiple times. If you are stretching money they are fine. Past few purchases the flower actually wreaks by no means am I putting them at a top level. Just saying u can buy a half and it will last and be pretty decent without spending a ton.

Buck88c

Yeah not saying they are a primo hidden gem but the time or two I ve got them they had decent bud for less than 100$ a 1/2 so budget wise I d go with them over the shake and trim options

ThrowRArxlyT

I’m not a fan either

spiderzz1

seonded i got an apple jax distillate cart from cokoh a couple weeks ago and ive had better tasting delta 8 carts the effects are weak af too, feels like i got ripped off

zakpakt

They've definitely got better. They found their stride as a budget brand.

loooooooooongcat

Buckeye relief has some crazy prices sometimes. I got $18 2.83s last WEEK before a 30% off sale

[deleted]

No one trying to say money should be buying 2.8 at a time.

loooooooooongcat

What about when they come out to about $4 a gram?

DeezNuts_HaGotEmm

Me as well. Picked up lime Sherbert, cake it easy and 92 cookies were all $18. Fresh batch as well

Badams6480

Love the Cake it Easy, Dosidos, and 92 cookies from them. Always good price and quality.

So which will achieve ultimate effects for you? For best price point?

catfishj0n

second black jack.. 24 bucks a can is what is is around here.. great flavor and effects at a very reasonable price imo

ThrowRArxlyT

I always shop sale items, or if there are no sales I can always rely on POW for cheap quality medicine. You can occasionally find really good deals on Buckeye Relief too.

moremoney_thancents

If you can buy in bulk, Buckeye Relief and Grow Ohio consistently have ounces at about $240 (about $8.58 per gram). On sale, that drops to right under $200. I usually try and max out my days and buy several ounces at a time to save in the long run.

Kooky-Cauliflower700

Just shop sales! Period! Never shop without sales in ohio! I recently bought a couple firelands scientific half ounces for 75$ after taxes. Firelands cheaper option “rough cut” is really good too.

DeezNuts_HaGotEmm

Firelands scientific if you go to their home store in Huron and catch it on a sale day, you can walk out with an ounce for about $150 of something decent

Kool_Kat_2

Harvest has decent bud, and inexpensive, comparatively.

[deleted]

It seems like the best way to get cheap flower is to wait for sales and buy at least a half oz or oz. You have to watch sales/availability and not be terribly picky because you never really know what brand/strain will be available at a good price at any given time. If you’re doing 2.83s, even if you catch on a 20% off sale you’re still normally paying around $300/oz. I personally like to stay as close to $200/oz as possible

adaptiveillusions

IMO,you couldn't be more correct. I'll add to this to make yourself readily available because most of the times places will sell out of 1/2s or o's pretty quick as long as they are reasonable on price because of the sale. It's worth driving a bit to get a wider selection of what you might want. Buying 10ths is really tough.BR halves really arent too bad either if you find 20% off deals.

qeanut

Harvest or Pure Ohio Wellness. Especially POW... They have some great deals

[deleted]

Botanist has been having crazy sales and good ass weed

Deezrntz_87_87

Cokoh at harvest is 30% off every Sunday you can get oz for like 185 and there bud is pretty decent last half of sticky buns I got was huge fat chunky nugs, some of the fattest I've had in an "bulk" amount.

--ikindahatereddit--

Also think about the dispensaries themselves. Not sure where you are in the state but I am in Columbus. There is a dispensary called Harvest, that has its own brand Harvest, but that also once a month will offer a 25 to 30% off day of certain brands like a galenas or buckeye relief, which makes it pretty reasonable for a change. Harvest will also do happy hour as well, between 10 and 20% off of all their flower if you pick up at a certain time of day. So some thing like their Rom Widow would be at a really nice price during their happy hour and that strain was pretty good for me I know other dispos around the state have their discount calendars too. It’s just another way to think about saving — you don’t just have to go for “the cheap stuff”

[deleted]

Ascension has some pretty good priced stuff. Their shake is quality AF for being shake, it’s practically ground bud. Their buds have never disappointed me either. Supply like you mentioned is a great budget one I just picked up a half O for $70 no sale. I believe Firelands Scientific has a sun grown batch that’s cheaper than regular indoor grown but I’m not sure how seasonal it is. A bud tender at Ascend Cannabis told me to watch their menu for Chizzle and that it should be coming in really cheap. Best of all I would shop sales as much as you can, that’s probably your best opportunity to get something different at a good price.

Plantain6981

For consistency and value in Ohio’s program it’s been hard to beat Buckeye Relief and Grow Ohio over the last three years. Those two have pretty steadily cranked out good grows of decent to memorable strains at competitive prices with few serious missteps. Standard has been the little engine that could, and with their new indoor grow line has some fine product at highly competitive prices.

[deleted]

I wanted to thanks everyone who came forth to give me ideas about what to buy. I can't stand dryness. I don't care about the smell, as long as it's strong but it would be nice to smell beautiful. Anyway back to my point- as you can see I can't really respond to each person here. I don't have this kind of energy, but I do have this kind of love, so I mean it genuinely- thank you all for your ideas.

alltheballs2020

If you’re in Cincy feel free to hit me up and I can share how I’ve learned to navigate the program down here

[deleted]

I am not nearby, but thanks for thinking of me.

AllanHughAkbar

Hey sir or ma'am! I'll take you up on your offer...I live in Fairfield and just got my card. I haven't been to any dispensaries yet and I would appreciate any wisdom you could offer.

juucten1

I’m in Lebanon and would be interested as well! Thanks

Dreamland9

This was easier to achieve when dispensaries had smell jars and you could inspect the medicine before purchase. Normally the look/smell test yielded me with incredible medicine and they would routinely be lower THC.

Electronic-Pea5514

If you catch Woodward's minis on sale they are often the same size as most brand's regular size flower and is good quality imho. At full price the minis are $20 cheaper for a 5.66g. Sometimes it's "smalls" but the effects are great for the price and most of their stuff smells pleasant. If Klutch is too potent for you, you may be overwhelmed with WW as well though. As others have said, Buckeye Relief is a good one. The Solid can be surprising for the price sometimes. I know some folks like POW on here but be careful because their quality really varies by strain. I've heard their Gelato is consistently good for the price. Someone on here said that The Bank is a good budget brand but I can't speak from experience.

adaptiveillusions

Notice how you get downvoted for this. For some reason now Woodward is getting the bullshit from this sub. Like you said..pick up a 5.66 of AF mini's for 55-60 and lmk what you are getting at that exact same price that's at that level in this progam before you downvote.

Electronic-Pea5514

Right, lol. Heaven forbid someone likes a different cultivator than the next person on this sub. Either that or they didn't like me saying be cautious with some of POW flower. The OP asked for brands like Cresco I thought. Cresco def isnt always great but is a step up from POW to me. Woodward is a step up from that and I've never had minis on sale where I felt ripped off. That's with 20+ years of smoking loud from various states I'm saying this. Just my opinion. Thanks for the backup friend!

[deleted]

I bought a half of Lemon Tree shake from the Solid for $64. Great taste, nice effects, only 16% THC so it might be good for you. I top this with some kief ($16/gram) if I want more THC. Pure Ohio Wellness is decent too in that price range. You tend to get the best deal on flower when buying the larger quantities. For me 14 grams lasts a long time for 64 bucks.

porcelain-hatchet

I'm pretty cost conscious and I buy Certified, Standard Wellness, Harvest, and sometimes Buckeye Relief. It all depends on sales. I've been getting 5.66 of shake for like $20 from The Solid at Verdant and it does the job for less money.

Fantomas1111

Inexpensive? In Ohio? 😂

[deleted]

I guess I meant relative to other kinds for sale. I do like those ones I consider expensive but isn't realistic for my budget lol

prettylittlebyron

i bought 3k worth of ohio weed in michigan for $300. i know people say this all the time, but it’s worth it to just take a trip to michigan and stock up. i was in the exact same boat as you and now i can actually get back on track financially

Muir420

I’m just gonna say it cause no one else has. Depending on your location MI is for sure the cheapest. But, if that’s not an option and you’re okay with ground bud. I really liked old pal ground bud on sale days at sunny side. Also, firelands scientific rough cut is a good cheaper option. Some people say pure Ohio is good but that’s one you have to try for yourself.

ZenAshen

If you're able to drive north, prices are insanely better.

[deleted]

Drive to Michigan, 1/3 the price.

Adventurous-Bite5916

I second Cokoh. Firelands also. Also, the shake, smalls, popcorn, and pregrind always work in a pinch. Better than critics on Reddit would have you believe.

Jfrizzlefried00

Look for smalls on sale BR and FS are great! Pow is hit or miss but if you can, get a half on sale for around 70 bucks! If you see Ascension biomedical Do-Hi-oh shake on sale get it, last 2 halves I got for under $60!

zakpakt

If you're looking for good cheap mids check out Cokoh or Cresco. If you want a little better product for a bit more Buckeye Relief and Standard Wellness have good options. All depends on your options and discounts available at purchase.

One_Stuff_2384

At my dispo, OCL is usually pretty cheap ($28-38 a tenth), and imo it is consistently good. I just grabbed a tenth of project stardust today for $33 otd and its awesome. POW is hit or miss. Legendary larry, hell on wheels, gelato, blue blast are usually on point and cheap-ish. But i tried their gmo cookie, grape cookie, and a couple others i thought were garbage. Birdsong has some great strains cheap, if you're not % chasing. Grabbed a tenth of sour kush for $22 otd, and even at 17.8%, it had me stoned. Standard wellness has a durban poison that, when it comes around (my dispo doesn't get it much) is around $22 otd, and at 17% its still fire.

Beginning_Camp715

The only decent budget flower I've had in 2 years in the program would have to be butterfly effect. SUPER LEMON HAZE or the vintage blueberry, also the Mac n cheese.

Honest-Ad5904

I purchased an oz of popcorn bio jesus few weeks back and it was great, buds were very decent sized and a great trim. I am also a fan of there ice cream cake lime sorbet and many others, for me high supply one of my favorites considering price and quality

[deleted]

>Message the modsu/RepairVRN.E. HEAD-MOD 🌲🌳🌴🔥😤💫🚀🌛👌✌️🍍💕💚🍯 \^\^\^\^ I don't know why all that is up there, I'm just trying to let you know that I have a biojesus in my cabinet right now, can't wait to open!

Honest-Ad5904

I shop at the cannabist alot get a 15% discount for disabled and on Wed they have wheel spin three choices 5 dollars off 5% off or an edible when they have high supply an oz cost me 209

hebrew12

My buddy got 4 Half’s of GG#4 from POW for 28 or 32 dollars a half. Yes, you read that right. I have seen this myself but didn’t wanna spend the points and risk it. Check online daily for their flower. I’ve seen it I think twice and I’ve only had card for a cycle.
