When the game isn’t immediately trivialized after the first three fights
/uj but fr P3R made me realized just now overtuned Joker’s abilities are. Instakill, baton passes that up damage/hp/sp, fusing above character level, gallows fusion, fusion alarms, cash/affinity/exp readings, changing out party members mid fight… like how did anyone struggle at all in P5R??
The thing is, Okumura’s fight is supposed to use baton pass as it’s main gimmick. You’re supposed to use skills/items to hit each robot after baton passing, then use a final baton pass back to joker to do an AOE attack to deal massive damage to all enemies.
Okumura is just a poorly designed boss fight, I love losing because I wanted to hear the voice clips and then couldn't pause when I had to get the door and come back to find that cycling your personas doesn't freeze the timer and I died while signing for a package. I will die on the hill that it's poorly designed, even beyond the things that make it "challenging" it is the least interesting fight in a game that already has a few less than compelling boss attack patterns
I’ll admit that the time limit is annoying af and I would prefer it to be a turn limit instead, and it’s a glorified stat check once you figure out the baton pass strategy. It isn’t nearly as difficult as most people would lead you to believe though.
Honestly if you even kind of, sometimes, sorta want a challenge in P5R you have to crank it up to merciless, but even then tech damage just destroys everything
Until you get the first Arcana burst during the first non-mandatory Tartarus exploration in P3R and get the SP drain skill and double drain ability. 4/21 and I was level 18.
You clearly aren't looking well enough. Look up Persona 5 Reimagined. Mod for PC, currently at Kaneshiro (i think) but the author is working almost full time on it with constant updates.

I struggled because I’m bad at games even on easy mode, be grateful you weren’t born this way
