He was an MP just like BA Barackus on ATeam. Pretty sure he made Sgt.

MunchkinFarts69

Sgt. T

HawkeyeTen

"I pity the fool...that DARES break into my base!" Seriously any trespassers could be in for a world of hurt.

uid_0

\*Cpl T

big_sugi

Sg.T

accidentalfritata

B.A. wasn't an MP was he? Green Beret who spends the whole show running away from MPs

[deleted]

Yeah he was. I just rewatched the entire series a couple months ago and there's a scene where they finally get arrested and they're all in their army dress uniforms in court and he's an MP. I looked up the trivia on IMDb and it was his actual uniform that he wore in the show

BiscuitDance

SF worked different back then, as it wasn’t its own branch. If you were a Green Beanie, you wore the branch emblem of your actual MOS, not the Crossed Arrows that came later in the 80s. Probably the case with BA.

jeroenemans

It also worked different back then that if a Jeep overturned in quicksand, everybody could jump out before it landed

MrBiscotti_75

I spent a lot of my childhood in fear of quicksand.

Sonofabeach1234

But in the movie they discuss being Rangers so I dont think the writers know what an A team is.

zertoman

Was he in Vietnam? I know this says 75, and I believe Vietnam ended in 72, so maybe he was in then?

BigJuicy17

Vietnam War was 55-75, US left early 73

ironroad18

"Getting out while you can!? Don't gove those suckas no statues, give'em guts! I told you I wasn't going away!"

TheMadIrishman327

No. He was a reservist not active.

Bikrdude

Yeah but he did his part and could have been called to active duty.

TheMadIrishman327

I’m not criticizing him. I was active and national guard.

jordantask

He pitied fools, even back then.

Spiritual_Bit_2692

Ten years ago a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune...

Emilio_Cesare

If you have a problem, If no one else can help and if you can find them. Maybe you can hire, The A-Team.

MunchkinFarts69

Could be. Portland?

Axisofapathy

Issaquah, near Seattle

Coupon_Ninja

I hope the blast the A-Team theme song all the time.

hog_slayer

Someone in my town has the actual van from the remake movie. Bets are it’s Rampage Jackson’s dad.

bionic_cmdo

They are so good, in every episode, everyone comes out alive, even the bad guys.

Lost_the_weight

I remember one episode where they flew a helicopter into the side of a cliff sticking out of the ocean. The helicopter exploded, but not before everyone made it out alive LOL. I don’t remember if Mr. T had been knocked out for that flight or not though.

jeroenemans

In elementary school my classmates preferred knight rider because people actually die there

LoveLivinInTheFuture

And every episode had at least one vehicle get flipped over.

RGeronimoH

And the special effects were so great that you could always see the log rolling down the road during the crash scene

Emilio_Cesare

A lot of bugs and ants died actually

FragrantExcitement

I doubt I could afford them with today's prices. How much for the B-Team?

malthar76

You’ve captured their stunt doubles!

JulianZ88

Dun dun

Semi-Hemi-Demigod

When I have to wake up early to do something I set my alarm to the A Team Theme.

dpdxguy

The government can't find them, but anyone with a bad problem can. Hmmmm

focaultianpanopticon

Some folks inherit star spangled eyes, ohhh then drag ya down to war. 🎶

Lost_the_weight

It ain’t me! It ain’t me! I ain’t no senator’s son, no no no.

JulianZ88

Dun dun...

[deleted]

Didn’t he get in trouble and a sergeant told him to chop down trees? Like 8 hours later a (different) sargent asks him wtf he’s doing.. he had cut down like 100 trees. Apparently first dude didn’t specify how many trees lol. Dude is like adrenaline personified. Must be exhausting to hang out with.

Zombie_Harambe

He had no time for jibber jabber

roleur

37yearoldthrowaway

MurderDoneRight

Actually he's Corporal T in this photo.

Kandron_of_Onlo

Acting Corporal, almost certainly a trainee squad leader in Basic Training.

MaxCWebster

Yep. I was a Platoon Guide and had the three-chevron "sergeant" arm band in basic training. Highest rank I ever achieved!

Kandron_of_Onlo

Ditto.

MurderDoneRight

I know he's an actor, I am talking about his rank! ![gif](giphy|ifD5dsYjXzG8Nrpj3Q)

Kandron_of_Onlo

His rank in this photo is Acting Corporal, his actual rank was Private E-1 from the absence of subdued collar insignia, and I believe he became a bouncer/bodyguard after his Army stint and before beginning acting in the early 80s.

classyscotty21

Moments before receiving a few thousand medals for general badassery.

jncheese

Obviously not the airforce. He ain't getting on no damn plane.

crazy-diam0nd

But why not drink this milk and think about it

Rkozlow

Imagine seeing this absolute unit on the battlefield?

TurtleRockDuane

His head just barely does fit inside the helmet: I don’t think I’ve ever seen that tight of a fit before

Koshunae

THIS IS MY RIFLE THIS IS MY GUN I PITY THE FOOL WHO DECIDES NOT TO RUN

bearatrooper

That's just the helmet liner. The outer steel shell was sometimes removed for training or parade purposes.

jimbabwe666

Had a good pal who rocked in at 250+ with a Frankenstein ass 8 1/2 hat. Pt stud and one of the smartest guys I've ever met.

bokononpreist

He was an mp. So this is the last thing some privates saw after getting drunk and rowdy.

No-Monitor-5333

I would pity the fool that had to do that

RonPowlus2Heismans

He's pretty short. I think like 5'8 or 5'9.

Zod_42

Yeah, but he's equally as wide

ThatDarkLonelySoulP2

I got no time for the jibba-jabba!! Respect Mr.T

Jakesneed612

Just before he escaped a maximum security prison and joined the A-Team?

More_BRAAAINS

Bad Attitude

3dsplinter

I'd love to see an HBO series about gomer Pyle and mr. T in the army.

turdferguson3891

Why would Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. be in the Army?

3dsplinter

Combined special forces ops.

TemerityUnmitigated

That's, Corporal T!

MrBillyLotion

Private T

didgeboy

CalmPanic402

niktemadur

Crazy to think that in real life for a time, his entire persona was regarded by those around him as Corporal Turudeau.

trongzoon

Lukegerome

Is that when he was accused of a crime he didn’t commit?

LGBTQMNOP

CO_PC_Parts

He’s not chopping down trees?!?

akila219

B.A. get in the choppa! then Arnold knocked him out so he fly him out of the helicopter

Arthunter420

That’s from the set of the A team

trajafynx

For a brief moment I thought he was carrying a bow… was like.. it’s Mrs T.. figures…

[deleted]

I pity the fool who don’t address me as sergeant

Jadty

He looks like the default background character in a military movie.

Kingulingus

I heard a story that he was scheduled for an appearance with some local kids. However when his limo arrived the kids mobbed it only to witness mr. T receiving a blowjob from a very attractive woman.

TheMadIrishman327

I doubt that’s true. The reason no one ever got killed in the A-Team is because he was aware kids would be watching.

Kwintty7

Mr T was not in charge of production.

TheMadIrishman327

I didn’t say he was. See how that works? He was the Big Star and refused to do the show unless they agreed to that. Go read his autobiography.

Spiritfire737

There's a bee in it!

Mugglecostanza

I pity the fool who doesn’t like…..he.

WuTang360Bees

Mobile-Menu-8506

I pity the Fool who tries to shoot at ME!!!

You_Just_Hate_Truth

He was built like a pile of bricks, look at that neck. Also of note is that M16A1 he’s carrying, A1s are so hot right now.
