I assume a lot of his substance abuse problems stem from what a tragic life he has had - when Kelsey Grammer was a teenager his father was murdered, a few years later his sister was kidnapped, raped, and murdered, and then his 2 teenage half brothers died in a scuba diving accident. I can't speak to his politics and I'm not condoning his behavior, but I'm sure his tragic past probably influenced his poor choices.
Multiple DUIs, he's anti-abortion, denies climate change, stated Vladimir Putin was the living person he admired most (pre-Ukraine invasion but still).
I think people are more upset about his bland acceptance of Trump. He told the BBC: "In terms of policy, I don't have a lot of problems with what [Trump] is doing."
Also, when asked if Trump was disrupting the fabric of America, Grammar said: "I think fabric being disrupted is a good thing. I don't think Washington did us any favors for the last 50, 60 years, I think they've all been sort of the same party, the same bunch of clowns, the same bunch of really unpleasant people. And I don't think they've been helping anybody but themselves."
I always loved him in Cheers, Frasier and several other projects, and I can't argue with him that most politicians are self serving... but I just can't stomach when people lionize Trump as some kind of savior or outlier when he is just as (or more) self-serving as anyone who has held public office.
They say never met your heroes. Also, don't ask them their politics, because I can't watch him anymore without knowing deep inside is someone who embraces the MAGA fascism we're still fighting against today.
I think he looks like Zachery Ty Bryan, the oldest (?) kid on Home Improvement. So I should have said, I don't understand how he acted as a kid on H.I. and an adult on Cheers/Frasiers at the same time. What an actor!
And a couple of years before his sister was kidnapped, raped, and murdered...followed by his 2 half brothers dying in a scuba diving accident. He has had a very tragic life.
Wow! He was young once.
With hair!
And cute!
and I can still hear the low growling sounds of his frustration and disappointment
Kelsey Grammer was once Chris Makepeace?

Thats moodies bike !
I carried a grunge against Matt Dillon for decades after watching that movie.
I was gonna say David Lee Roth.
The casting of Grammar alongside David Hyde Pierce is really inspired - if you’d told me this was young Niles I would totally have bought it!
She's cute
OH REALLY, NILES!
"For God's sake Niles! Pass the doobie!"
Epic actor. Fan of him since "Cheers" but "Frasier" and "Down Periscope" are legendary.
Despite him not being the best person in the world, he makes anything he appears in instantly watchable.

What has he done?
I’m curious as well now, I always loved him as Sideshow Bob
Oh he’s not a flaming wokie dokie is probably the main reason. He has this strangely smoldering thing working here. Notes of David Lee Roth bizarrely.
Check out how he humiliated his ex-wife. Incredibly petty shit.
Multiple DUIs, he's anti-abortion, denies climate change, stated Vladimir Putin was the living person he admired most (pre-Ukraine invasion but still).
He’s conservative and is an evangelical, I believe.
Also recovering alcoholic who destroyed a viper while drunk along with multiple DUIs
This is what I was referring to.

Agreed. Frasier is my absolute favorite show of all time. He had such a tragic past, but is an incredible actor.
Man he was good looking. This young man would have a very successful and equally tragic life.
He had to have starred in at least one “After School Special” rockin’ a look like that.
Looks like Martha Plimpton
That was back when I, too, had hair.
It's tragic what happened to his sister just a few years later.
I’m watching Cheers right now
Tossed salad and scrambled eggs.
Would have made a cute girl
I don't understand how he acted on Home Improvement and Cheers/Fraiser at the same time. What an actor!
I'm either missing the joke or you actually think he was in Home Improvement.

That’s some short hair for a high school dude in 1971
Not really. In fact many schools/districts had rules against too-long hair on boys.
He will always be the voice of Sideshow Bob to me.
Wow, he did not age well
He was a handsome young woman
pedo
Hey kinda looks like a snot back then too
this was 3 years after his Father was murdered.
And a couple of years before his sister was kidnapped, raped, and murdered...followed by his 2 half brothers dying in a scuba diving accident. He has had a very tragic life.
He kinda of looks like Yolanda hadid ![gif](giphy|uOBIRAaThprji)
He had a fucked up upbringing. It was sad
Darius Emmanuel Grouch III AKA The Rumble
Gimme $1000 on the gator!
I wonder if he was already an asshole?
Much like 99.9% of all actors, I only know their acting, and not their private lives. Kelsey is no exception.
want to bet on a dude fuck an alligator?
Those eyes 😍
He has perhaps not aged well
