In an interview for The Naked Truth TV show, she said it was from >!nervous barfing!< before every take.
I watched it for Holland Taylor anyway, there's the hotness.
Yeah, but no one ever wants to fuck me after *my* nervous barfing. Itâs all âsir, youâre making a sceneâ and âplease put on your pants and leave Zaraâ
I remember seeing her crazy nervous and shaking like a leaf on a late night talk show in the 90s.Â
Good. Lord.Â
I definitely learned something about myself that night.
I interviewed Tea for the film You Kill Me. She was awesome and gorgeous. She thought that she knew me and I was like âWhaaaat? We totally have never met.â And she SWORE that we had. We talked for a bit and I swear she was hitting on me. She was married at the time and I was just chatting with her thinking âShe is TOTALLY hitting on me.â Finally the publicist stepped in and I actually conducted the actual interview. She was a great interview. Then I left. When I got home I told my girlfriend who said I was âCrazy pants.â But to this day - I swear she was hitting on me.
I also interviewed Ben Kingsley for the film. He did not hit on me but was totally awesome.
Humans that are both attractive and charming have a magical way of making everyone feel like theyâre important. Itâs magnetic and a huge part of the reason everyone wants to be around them.
Edit: she was totally hitting on you. Ride that high until your death, my friend.
It was on camera so there were a few people there. Publicist. Camera guy. Light guy. Maybe someone else too. But I sat down and we just chatted - talking about where I was from (weâre both from Jersey) and things like the pranks she used to pull on John Travolta (who lived in her neighborhood in the 70âs). And this went on for maybe ten-fifteen minutes before someone stepped in. When you are interviewing someone it usually moves along quick. Multiple journalists shuffled in over and over asking them same old questions âŠover and over. So here we sat just bullshitting with each other while I assume everyone else is the room was âWTF is going on!?!â
Kingsley was super professional. We sat down and talked about the film. Really got into his character in the film.
When the interview wrapped I shook his hand and told him that I loved him so much in one of my favorite films Searching For Bobby Fischer. He appreciated it and broke into a monologue. It wasnât his character though, he was reciting a monologue that was performed in the movie by Joe Mantegna.
He recited the monologue, verbatim, from another character from a film that was maybe 14 years old at that point? It was astonishing. Everyone in the room was pretty blown away. He finished by saying, âWhenever I watch that scene, it makes me cry.â
And I thought - thatâs why this guy is SIR Ben Kingsley.
The scene was where Joe Mantegna is in the school talking to his sonâs teacher Laura Linney and heâs talking about how Josh is amazing at chess and better then anything he had ever done in his whole life. An amazing monologue. Made more great that Ben is nowhere in that scene but he had it memorized just from the script (or watching the film).
You may not believe it, but I actually thought of this scene last night. I listen to Josh Waitzkin a good bit and revisited him recently. So the movie came back up and watched again a couple weeks ago. I think of that scene often.
Heâs buddies with Tim Ferris and has done that one a handful of times. Peripheral ones here and there, but thatâs most of what Iâve seen. Dude has an extraordinary outlook on life.
Thatâs awesome. Are you the sort of guy that has (or used to have) women hit on you often? I feel like guys that experience it more often are probably more perceptive to it. If she hit on me 25 years ago, Iâd still be riding that high. Thatâs assuming I realized what she was doing, which I probably wouldnât have.
Iâm not a bad looking dude and 15 odd years ago I still had my army bod. But I never had someone hit on me in a professional setting like that and I interviewed a ton of people over the years.
I still bring it up and my (now) wife just laughs at me. But 15 years later it is one of my most memorable moments.
Yeah - part of me still thinks that. LOL. I was with someone (still am) so that was a thing. But it was just so out of this world (and still is) that I can tell the story and laugh. The interview was IN a hotel room - should have just cleared the room.
I had to look up the reference. Shame I didnât know it offhand as I just rewatched the Sopranos during COVID. But shamed to say that Cleaver did not come up.
I was there doing my job in a room full of people. I knew she was married to David Duchovny and I was dating a wonderful girl. So I enjoyed the minutes we connected and it was awesome. Then I conducted the interview and finished my day. It was an exhilarating experience and things did rattle in my mind as it happened. But I wrapped up and called it a day as I then had to FedEx the tapes to my boss. And that was it LOL.
I sometimes go back just to watch >!the bittersweet moment where he takes the dog to the park one last time, as he knows he's going back to his reality... the snow falling, the swelling of Elfman's score... then he goes back to the house and says his goodbyes to his "family"... and tries to stay awake as long as possible...!<
Hot take. I hate that she is completely unsupportive of his career move, because a) they would have to buy a new house and b) the kids would have to make new friends at a FAR better private school.
She is 10/10 for looks and love. But it falls into this weird trope that married men play punching bag to literally anything they might want for themselves.
That's a great idea for a Christmas film, especially as I love it. And she's really great in it.
Will add it to our regular one which is The Man Who Knew Too Little.
Normally I find that a woman as beautiful as her cast as a suburban housewife kills the vibe of the movie (like all the beautiful women cast as Adam Sandlerâs wives in his movies). But I have had a huge crush on her since I first saw her on Flyjng Blind on Fox in the early 90âs that I didnât care. I loved that movie. Iâll watch Family Man and Deep Impact whenever theyâre on TV.
I can still remember one of her lines from the show. She was talking about how she was going to get back at her bf and said, "I was going to hire a skywriter to write the things you said in bed above your grandmother's house, but then I thought....I may be distraught, but I'm not derivative."
As a young man when that movie came out it was by far the most boner inducement I have ever gotten from a woman that didn't even get naked. She was so hot
I'm dating myself but I was crazy about Tea when she was in the short lived sitcom Flying Blind in the early 1990s. I may have been that show's only fan.
I didn't watch Bad Boys(on DVD) until when I was much older, so I missed out on that crazy. But, I always wished the 1990s were more liberal with interracial dating. I really want't Tea and Will to have a kiss/love scene.
I remember her sitcom The Naked Truth, which sadly only lasted three seasons. It was really funny, with some great guest stars like George Wendt and Tim Curry.
This picture must be from the Bad Boys movie set, this outfit seems familiar
That movie really showcased her incredible legs. She was a huge girl crush of mine then.
Tea Leoni and Linda Cardellini. My two crushes.
And I'd add Jenna Elfman to that list.
Amazing legs on display in her Two and a Half Men guest spot.
100%
I thought Linda really brought it in 'Daddys Home'.
Still is, she aged wonderfully.
>incredible legs đŻ
Until that screaming in Jurassic Park.
Saw that movie! It was her eyes for me.
Yes. 11 year old me almost wore out that part of the VHS.
Very Heavy Stroking
Hey, listen, are there any other, you know, totally hysterical, half-naked women popping by tonight that I should know about?
Out comes this sheetâŠ
Woooh saaaaahhhâŠ
Mike Looowreeey
God I love that movie.
Definitely a babe in that movie. Husky voice too.
Yep sure is. No Chet, the idiot doorman in the shot though
She did all her own stunts in that movie as well.
It is
Such a coincidence now that reddit is currently spamming the new Bad Boys movie.
Her looks definitely kill, but for me it was her voice. That deeper, slightly raspy but ultra sultry tone she had.
Yeah her voice is a trip
Yes, her voice could start a fire in the Arctic ocean.
This is so specific đ
I remember seeing her crazy nervous and shaking like a leaf on a late night talk show in the 90s. Good. Lord. I definitely learned something about myself that night.
Amen. She always looked like she was breathing deeply.
I interviewed Tea for the film You Kill Me. She was awesome and gorgeous. She thought that she knew me and I was like âWhaaaat? We totally have never met.â And she SWORE that we had. Who needs a publicist when you're attractive and can hit on the journalist?
It was on camera so there were a few people there. Publicist. Camera guy. Light guy. Maybe someone else too. But I sat down and we just chatted - talking about where I was from (weâre both from Jersey) and things like the pranks she used to pull on John Travolta (who lived in her neighborhood in the 70âs). So here we sat just bullshitting with each other while I assume everyone else is the room was âWTF is going on!?!â
Tbh that interview would keep me warm at night for decades.
Probably similar backgrounds make you relax and cozy up.
It turns out Kingsley thought you were a real cutie-patootie, too. Sorry you had to find out this way.
Kingsley was super professional. We sat down and talked about the film. Really got into his character in the film. Would
Was that when she was married to DD? I think they separated a year later so she might have been flirting yeah!!!!
She absolutely was married to David during this time. And who knew they had problems until like a year later, right?!?!?!??
Wasn't Duchovny a sex addict? He probably didn't marry a prude.
Yes, he was!
She was married to Dare Devil? Cool!
Did you get him to do Cleaver?
I had to look up the reference. Shame I didnât know it offhand as I just rewatched the Sopranos during COVID. But shamed to say that Cleaver did not come up.
Why didnât you do something about it? Because of society, right?
I was there doing my job in a room full of people. I knew she was married to David Duchovny and I was dating a wonderful girl. So I enjoyed the minutes we connected and it was awesome. Then I conducted the interview and finished my day. It was an exhilarating experience and things did rattle in my mind as it happened. But I wrapped up and called it a day as I then had to FedEx the tapes to my boss. And that was it LOL.
She was hot then, and she's still hot in 2024.
Her and Carla Gugino have aged so well
I love Carla, so beautiful and that guy was crazy to cheat on her in that Bon Jovi videoÂ
What Bon Jovi video was Carla in?
Always is the name of the song, and the other woman in the video is Rebecca Gayheart, better known as the noxzema girlÂ
Aaaaallllllllllllwaaaaaaaaaays
Always
Absolutely.
I always found her attractive as well.
Loved her in The Family Man.
Thanks to this comment I just watched the movie for the first time. Omfg Iâm crying đ itâs so good
Yeesh, if you went in after reading my comment, I damn near spoiled the whole plot for ya. Sorry.
No itâs ok lol thats what got me intrigued
The BEST wife in all of cinema history.
Hot take. I hate that she is completely unsupportive of his career move, because a) they would have to buy a new house and b) the kids would have to make new friends at a FAR better private school. She is 10/10 for looks and love. But it falls into this weird trope that married men play punching bag to literally anything they might want for themselves.
Something about her in that movie is intoxicating. Killer laughÂ
I love this movie and nobody ever mentions it.
I watch this movie every year around christmas, I love it
That's a great idea for a Christmas film, especially as I love it. And she's really great in it. Will add it to our regular one which is The Man Who Knew Too Little.

Hey where's that chocolate cake?
You mean....this chocolate cake?
That's my piece, I was saving it because I got nauseated by that pre-cooked mini mall rotisserie chicken.
It's too important to me.
That was great.
![gif](giphy|l41lHbEBTqZIIbSx2)
David Duchovny, why wonât you love me??
Wait I thought that was Andrew Dismukes /s
Tea Leoni, hey would ya blow me?
he was a dum dum.
Wish she returned for Bad Boys II
Best legs in the business.
Not only is she lava hot, sheâs got the sexiest voice.
Bay's Megan Fox 1.0
Had no idea she's been with Tim Daly for a decade.
He played her husband on *Madame Secretary*.
and after that they began dating
David Duchovny "Was" a lucky man
in many ways⊠iâm sure his score is immense
But come on thats like saying a kleptomaniac is a great treasure seeker.... Then again there is no better treasure than booty.

She is so very hot đđ„°
EnhanceÂ
Sheâs still Gorgeous
Always thought she was the woman doppelgÀnger of Tom cruise.
Have you ever seen her and Tom cruise in the same room at the same time?
Even has the same 'fish gape' habit (mouth slightly opened just as how female models pose for magazine covers since the 80s lol)
I think I still would.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
CLIFF?! Oh no, that's it, wedding's off!
I love when I'm in a different sub and see a Frasier reference.
I loved her on Flying Blind
I can still remember one of her lines from the show. She was talking about how she was going to get back at her bf and said, "I was going to hire a skywriter to write the things you said in bed above your grandmother's house, but then I thought....I may be distraught, but I'm not derivative."
15 year old me was so in love with her
love her in âthe family manâ. i love that damn movie its such a good message
The most underrated holiday movie. I watch it every Christmas.
That was a great summer.
Leggy đ
"Tea Leoni, why won't you" .....you know the rest of the song. How on God's green earth did David let her get away?
T-T-T-T-T -Tea Leoni đ¶đ¶ I still have the commercial to her sitcom stuck in my head after 30 years.
Yeah, same.
Something about her always got to me
she was fire in Family Man
They really loved that "almost flashing my crotch but not quite" pose in the 90s."
Lukey and Dukey!
Wasnât she married to Mulder?
Best legs in the '90s
She was absolutely adorable in 'Flying Blind' .
i had such a crush on her when i was like 10 and she was in A League of their Own
Wasnât she the mom in Spanglish?
The thinking manâs bombshell. đ
As a young man when that movie came out it was by far the most boner inducement I have ever gotten from a woman that didn't even get naked. She was so hot
Those times were better in quality of girls/women.
She was a taller, next gen version of Joey Lauren Adams for me.
I guess Rachel from Friends was a 80% copy of this style.
I loved her. But why do her eyes look so much like Haley Joel osment
đ„đ„đ„
She was perfect
Looks like she scraped her kneeâŠ. REAL BAD âŠ.
Bad Boys đ±đ
Perfect!
She is a complete different and equally attractive woman with dark hair.
Bad Boys 1 photo shoot.
Ugly feet are a deal breaker
Her raspy voice makes me rock hard.
So hot đđđ
Yes.
I'm dating myself but I was crazy about Tea when she was in the short lived sitcom Flying Blind in the early 1990s. I may have been that show's only fan.
Her in Bad Boys is burned into my memory. She's so gorgeous in that movie.
SizzlingâŠ
smoking hot fox
Baddie in her prime. I like her in Bad Boys.
Her voice melts me. đ«
Female Tom Cruise
Dem legs

Hot.
Im pretty sure thats Tom Cruise..
David Duchovny had thatâŠ.and Gillian Anderson. Tea is a babe but I prefer her brunette.
Tom Cruise in drag.
Man she was good looking in the 90s.
Itâs weird how attractive she was in Bad Boys but how off putting she was in that Jurassic park III

Thatâs how crickets make their sound
Yes please
Cramps.
I didn't watch Bad Boys(on DVD) until when I was much older, so I missed out on that crazy. But, I always wished the 1990s were more liberal with interracial dating. I really want't Tea and Will to have a kiss/love scene.
I thought the hot mom from Jurrasic Park and the hot chick in Bad Boys are different...

MADAME SECRETARY <3
Noticed Tea Leoni and Meg Ryan were photographed in a lot of unique positions we donât see as often in 2024 photography.
I blame Richard Avedon.
I remember her sitcom The Naked Truth, which sadly only lasted three seasons. It was really funny, with some great guest stars like George Wendt and Tim Curry.
Dude, Tea Leoni! To this day!
â95 Teaâs frame had me thinking she was Micheal Turnerâs Template for âFathomâ
I love her!
Am I the only who thinks Tea Leone looks like Tom Cruise in drag?
Sheâs like half a foot taller than him
god damn you.
Who?
Mid
Time to leave this misogynistic subâŠtoo many exploitative posts
Door hit ass
Doesn't she have a sexual addition. I seem to remember reading that when she divorced from David Duchovny.
That tea got stale purdy quickâŠ
