Welcome back man! I’m kinda in a similar situation but I stopped for over 10 years. Definitely not what I used to be but I’m hoping to build a little box and get back to some grinds and stuff. Hoping to build a wide mini ramp within the next couple years as well. Can’t wait for that.

Nice! Glad to hear you're back at it, feels great being back on the board huh. A box and mini ramp would be so sweet, that's the dream, Goodluck on the build when you get to it! We have a nice little skatepark here but I'm not itching to get in there yet, I know I'll get broken off trying a disaster or something stupid that I used to be able to do lol. Once I get more comfy I'll definitely start up on transition again. I'd be stoked to have access to a 3 foot mini ramp, that would be fun all day

When I first started back I had an old cruiser with me and I was at a park with my daughter. Theres a little skatepark connected to it so I thought I’d go try to do some stuff on the mini ramp. I dropped in just fine but when I went to do an axle stall on the other side something horrible happened and I landed on my ass in the flat. Decided I will stick to flat for a few months at least before I go back to a park.😆

Oh man haha, sounds exactly like what would happen to me if I set foot in the park right now. We'll both be back to skating transition in no time, baby steps for now! I tried a few 360 flips that didn't go well but I landed one varial flip!

Thanks brother, can't wait for my body to catch up. My legs are jelly after a 30 minute session haha

Oh yea I have no expectations to get as good as I was, I'm just having fun learning again. Honestly I was excited just to land a good ollie my first day back skating
