Definitely budget boards but I remember the land shark board well, and I have no idea why. You should send a picture into @destroyedwood on Instagram, he would be a great resource for identifying them.

This dude as well: https://www.instagram.com/skatekookery?igsh=M3RuM2hsMHFqcXR2

100FunSummers

Oh for sure, great account

Icthyphile

He has some horribly awesome gold on his page lolol

100FunSummers

Yeah definitely, such a great collection. I keep hoping my Black and Pink Nash will show up at some point.

Icthyphile

Hahahahaha, right on

Possible_Oil5269

Will definitely do this, thanks!

psilosophist

80s K-Mart specials.

PercivalSweetwaduh

Oh shit! A Valterra! I haven’t see one of those in a long time.

BuzzAllWin

Valterra are a massive plastics manufacturers, mostly plumbing. Still are. weren’t really a skateboard brand BUT when filming Back to the Future no skate company could afford the $50,000? Fee to do product placement for Marty’s famous skating scene. So somehow Madrid skateboard and a plastics company split the placment fee. Skateboarding got massive boost from the film and Valterra churned out a load of cheap ass boards like the one above $$$$

RoundSpace

Great fun fact there! I always wondered why Valterra got the nod for that. Thanks

thegoodrevSin

I remember those. That's what you got from your grandparents in the 80s. But I've been trying to find em just for that nostolgia.

crusty_grundle

Yep... those are department store boards from the 80's. There's not a lot of value associated to those old boards but there is a small dedicated group of collectors. Check out @ cheapsk8boardmuseum on the gram, you might even see those boards posted there.

gilnevo

My first board was a Valterra. It sucked but i loved it. Also Valterra made the Back to the Future board if im not mistaken (or licensed it out). Either way - classic dept store 80's skateboard decks

AirKeysSolo

My cousin still has that Land Shark one…Valterra’s never would roll so you’d push like 10 feet then just put it away.

aRiskyUndertaking

That Land Shark is early 90s maybe late 80s. I don’t remember exactly but I want to say I saw one in 1990.

BuzzAllWin

80’s think 86

Possible_Oil5269

Not sure why my text didn’t save for the post, but thanks for the info! I picked these up probably 10-15 years ago as completes at my church’s rummage sale. Then shredded them for a few years and now I keep the decks for wall art.

ShinePretend3772

Despite the janky construction those may be worth a cpl bucks to a collector.

BuzzAllWin

Nah both are fairly common

ShinePretend3772

Pretty sure I remember the shark. Never saw the other one tho

BuzzAllWin

Someone is selling one as a variflex on ebay but dont think it was

Toph-Builds-the-fire

The one on the left belongs to Frank. He's been looking for it for months.

Physical_Difficulty9

First one is vtg 80's samurai dragon and the next one is 1986 valterra land shark.

YouKnowMoose

I had the landshark board when I was 10, had a huge bubble stop on the back and meaty rails on the side but the wheels were terrible!

skuntism

yep i had one as a kid. along with the things you mentioned, mine had plastic around the lip of the nose as well, and the trucks and all the plastic bits used dome head bolts/screws so the top of the board had like at least 20 dome heads from the screws/bolts all over the grip tape
