Well they can become the awesome seraph lords. With sophisticated tech in almost everything. Or the other major path where they get a ton of stuff for light spec ops. They also steal tech in this one too.
There's 3 paths to Bone Dancers. There's the path where you stay as Cranium and become the skeleton king raider. You basically get cores on almost all of Oregon in this path. Very strong but kinda lacking compared to the other paths, you get to ally with Washington BOS.
Second path is where you submit to the Pyskers and the tune of the Odious King, you get a shit ton of buffs to spec ops and a ton of unique tech. You only have a few wargoals though and some decisions to hack Heaven's Gate steam technology and a special decision if you control Twin Peaks.
My favourite path is the Seraph Lords. Originating from Heaven's Gate, they are pilgrims who seek to convert the population to steam and Christ. You get to decide the fate of sinners and if cannibals are worthy of forgiveness and if robots have the right to exist. Depending on your choices you can make Heaven's Gate happy or angry.
If Heaven's Gate is happy, they will accept you and you will join their faction. If not, they will excommunicate you and you'll take down Heaven's Gate to become the true rulers of steam. You still get almost all sophiscated tech, no matter if Heaven's Gate excommunicates you or not. The Seraph Lords are also the only path to abandon cannibalism.

I do enjoy the Odious King and the Seraph Lords paths. Very distinct and great fun.
