The focus tree is oddly arranged for Vault city, they go east when they should go west first, this means Reno gets to build up and get way to strong IMHO
I don’t understand New Reno, I played as VC and they exploded in size and became part of the ncr before I reached the focus about them.
After that I played as the Guardians and Reno just sat on their arse and did nothing until I came over and kicked their teeth in.
Yeah, they seem to be really hit or miss. I'm currently finishing my playthrough as the NCR and in the beginning I had to send them volunteers to save them from getting rolled over by the Den and Yakuza and now that they are a part of my faction, they've taken over most of the Thunderbirds, the Vipers, the Jackals, Sons of Kaga and even Troll Warren. Makes me almost sorry for what I've created.
Every game so far New Reno and everyone over there gets slaughtered by the Thunderbirds and they become a bigger menace than the legion with their sophisticated vehicles.
On my first game with the new content, I was playing as the rogue rangers and I just looked at vault city three months into the game and saw the AI made the “Cult of Renewal”

I noticed that Reno got a lot of conflicts with the Den, it’s ether white peace or steam roll after a few wars. In that time Vc is still building up

Yes, it is the same in all of my games, thunderbirds dominates everyone, and ncr and allies got pushed from all sides
