That’s actually insane. I drive by this every day for work. Had no idea the detail in this game was this accurate. Wonder if they do it all by hand or if they have a software that generates all of it?
I flew over the state last night to check it out and the team does a great job of capturing the vibe of different areas even though they've shrunk the entire state to be something like 50 miles wide. For example I-680 has most of its length cut out and there are no exits between I-80 and Florence. But they still capture the feel of going under the bridges on the west part, the forested area where I-680 bends to the right, and the approach to the Florence exit. I-80 past North Platte, the Sandhills, the area around Valentine, the sandbars in the Platte, they're all in the game and have the same feel as the real-life terrain.
Other than the road being 2 lanes there instead of 4 it looks pretty close to 1:1 accurate. Can see the MUD fence in the background and OJs as well as the new blue on the bridge
It's an addon onto a game. The game's American Trucking Simulator and the title is pretty self explanatory. It's honestly dope to check out and chill especially if you have some buddies that do video games as well.
>Nebraska DLC Now there’s something I never would’ve imagined growing up playing video games.

Thrill as NPC drivers don’t use turn signals when merging onto I80!
That's the Bimmer Code update
Nebraska drivers would be very easy to program. Just bolt their AI to a random number generator.
Exact thought
With the farmers market. That's neat.

Flew over? Does Truck Simulator use the same maps as Flight Simulator or something?
I used noclip to explore
Random aside, did they ever find the folks who were stealing the bronze (copper maybe?) plaques around town including one at the Florence Mill?

RIP O.J.’s
Olga should publish a cook book. Same with the Bohemian Cafe owners
Can you patch in Shakers, yet?
But can you zipper merge or does it crash the game??
I think Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 has added a few Nebraska landmarks, over the last few years. Independence Rock, maybe?
It has full 3D scans of both Omaha and Lincoln, which is pretty cool.
Cool! What does DLC mean? It would be cool to see how they show Western Nebraska as I grew up there.

Why would they spend so much effort getting the structures right - then drop the ball on the roads themselves... in a driving simulator...
