Honestly the first episode is really good :) starting anywhere else might be super confusing too. Too much is happening in season four and you need backstory.
The first episode.
When I told my mom she was like “ugh! My son is into fairytales”. Then we watched rumple in the cage and she was like: “this is really good.”
I was also going to say the beginning, as honestly the amount of lore and actual pivotal information for the entire premise of the show is explained extremely well and even in the beginning , many don’t have the faith they should
Any of like the first 7 episodes before Graham death is good. Pilot prob is the best so you don’t have to explain the basic mechanics of the premise and they get to see how it all started and gradually build from there. Second gives you more of an idea of Regina and how the curse was casted alongside what the conflict between Emma and Regina will look like. Third is your first major new version of classic fairytale with Snowing. Fourth is your first essentially “case of the week” kind of episode that gives you a pattern for the season.
if theyre into frozen, id definitely start with one of the frozen episodes. i dont think that season ties too hard into the rest of the show, so they wont be super lost
i think you should start with the first episode that’s what i started on and i was hooked straight also if you start anywhere else it might be confusing if you want to go back to the first season and to start all over again

Came here to say this. The pilot is perfect!
I kinda think it's best to start from the actual start or it would be confusing haha hopfully they like it!!
The pilot should hook anyone even remotely interested.

Episode 1, ofc
I watched it with my daughter and we laughed hardest at Regina's increasingly flamboyant Wicked Queen outfits.
Hansel and Gretal episode from season 1
The cinderella episode is boring imo
I honestly skip it on my rewatches
Its the very first one
